Earlier today while playing Dying Light, my PC randomly blue-screened with the error "page fault in nonpaged area cpuz136_x64.sys" - After running a malware scan, nothing was found. After that I cleaned my registry with CCleaner. I haven't played Dying Light since then, but a few minutes ago I decided to run sfc /scannow - and It came up with a few files that were corrupt.

Does SFC /Scannow really work? It always finds corrupt files in all of my systems regardless of the age of the OS install. Out of curiosity, I installed a pristine Windows 10 Pro on a clean, formatted, erased and empty(?) hard drive with no apps installed on a spare laptop . Ran SFC /Scannow and it reported corrupt files.
Response following sfc scan, windows resource protection found corrupt files, but was unable to fix some of them. I have the CBS log, but don't understand any of it.. I looked at an article that said replace files with a new copy, and I didn't understand that!
I connected the printer to my computer and I'm able to print pages from a browser, my problem is I'm unable to access the printer directly to scan files. I've tried deleting and re installing that didn't work. The printer is an HP Deskjet 3050 ...
I have run SFC /SCANNOW and a large number of files have been found to be corrupted in Windows 10, and cannot be repaired by SFC. The CBS log is too large to attach, but I have extracted a list of all corrupt files attached.
After looking at similar posts, I downloaded SFCFIX.exe by Sysnative and ran that in an elevated command prompt, but the message I got was that source file could not be found. I have also run SFC in safe mode and also run DISM, but neither solves my problem, and the corrupt files persist.
I've received 5 files from 5 sources, both Excel and Word. Every time I try to open one I get an error message "File is corrupt and can't be opened." I can work on my own files, but not downloads.
I tried the Windows 10 "workarounds" but these didn't work. I've tried to download using both Firefox and Edge, no difference.
I ran "SFC /scannow" and got an error saying the System File Checker found errors but couldn't fix them. Afterwards I ran "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" and DISM threw the error 0x800f081f saying that the source files could not be found.
I then ran "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:H:Sourcesinstall.wim" to direct DISM to my windows 10 disk, but this also didn't work.
I don't know what to do short of reinstalling Windows, I've attached my CBS and DISM logs in a .zip file below (the CBS log was too big).
As the title says, the start menu wasn't opening so I ran SFC /scannow that found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. I then ran RestoreHealth but I got a message saying, "Source file cannot be found". I restart, Start Menu works again but still have corrupt files after an SFC scan. I recently did a clean install of Windows 10 after some non-related issues. CBS log is attached. I'm having trouble determining the problem from the log file.
I ran sfc /scannow in an admin command prompt, however when it completes I receive this message:
"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windirLogsCBSCBS.log. For
example C:WindowsLogsCBSCBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios."
I think that it may be somehow related to a few errors happening on my laptop--such as live tiles not working, and the inability to use some apps without crashes.
can some of you do an sfc /scannow and check your results with the November update installed? I always do this when i finish installations, and on 3 computers and 4 installations on them, 2 on one computer just to be sure i am getting corrupt files and struggling with my anger to not go back to windows 7 and get rid of all win 10 problems and MS ignorance. here is my results, many corrupted files in the log.. but is long so i don't post it...

Recently updated to windows 10 I've tried a scannow to resolve another issue and I get a failure message with files being corrupted. I've tried a reset keeping my files but where to look next. Attached is my log file from the SFC and the DISM log really stuck currently.

I keep getting blue screens randomly with different messages, including KERNEL_INPAGE_ERROR, CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED, and more. It doesn't seem to be associated with any particular app or thing that I do. This morning, I woke up to find that is BSODed in the middle of the night for apparently no reason.
I have tried SFC /SCANNOW (corrupt files can't be fixed), DISM restore_health, reinstalling Windows, check disk... You name it.
After scannow, i have : Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.log windirlogsCBSCBS.log.....
Due to corrupt windows files my pc is unable to start. i am able to go into the bios, but after that it will freeze on the windows logo during start up. i have made a usb windows 10 installer and tried to start the pc up using that as my hard drive (went into bios and changed it to use that as my hard drive) but it still freezes on the same screen. I even unplugged my hdd and booted up but the same thing happens so I don't believe the problem is with my hd.
In connection with my job, I have several insurance companies asking me to send scanned documents in Portable Document Format (PDF). My Brother Printer Control Center Fax-Scan software is not yet compatible with Windows10, even in Windows7 compatibility mode. The Windows10 Fax & Scan program does not list PDF as a scan-to file conversion option. Only jpeg, bitmap, txt, etc..
Is there a way to tweak or add-on something to Windows Fax & Scan to make it scan documents into PDF format?
My Computer came with Word 2013 installed on it and I have been looking for a way to scan a Document or Article directly into the Word 2013 program but I can't find a way to do it. In Word 2010 you could Customize and make a Keyboard Shortcut by selecting InsertImagerScan. In Word 2010 I made this shortcut by using the CTRL+8 keys and I could scan directly into Word 10 by using that key combination. I tried to set up the same Keyboard Shortcut option in Word 2013 - The InsertImagerScan is available in Word 2013 but I can't get it to work. How to Scan Directly Into Word 2013?
No matter what I do, I can not get this computer to shut down after the Norton 360 virus scan!!!! I had Norton look into it, and they said that it was fixed on my PC (through remote access), but every time I run the full or quick scan and tell it to shut down, it restarts!!! I F$#%(&G HATE WINDOWS 10. I am tempted to return to Windows 8.
I believe it's called adding it to the context menu.. I saw a registry hack for Windows 8 but i'm not sure how to do it in Windows 10.. I got used to using MSE in Windows 7 so now i'm lost not being able to right click a file to scan it immediately.. how to enable this in W10 Defender?
or should I just dump Defender totally for another Free antivirus? I was using Avast for awhile but MSE was less heavy on the resources so I went with that..
I run a scan but as soon as I have rebooted and within an hour or so it asks me again? I receive the notification in the taskbar and Windows Defender turns orange and states I am unprotected. So far I have completed 3 clean scans today but after a reboot it is as if it does not remember that I have run a scan. I am running the latest Windows 10 pro.
In Windows XP, when I print a doc from my PDF viewer, I can select my network attached printer's FAX machine and send a fax. In Windows 10, when I print I have a print destination of 'Fax' which puts me into the Windows 10 Fax code which tells me that I don't have a fax machine set up and then we go downhill into total irrelevancy.
