Lowering and raising the levels bar on this^ with a keyboard key or combination of keys.
I've been using Line In to listen to my game console audio but sometimes I need to adjust the volume, and I'd rather have a key to do it.
My system volume is very high, and 15 seconds later or something close to that the volume goes back up to max. this is really irritating, because when i get a notification or use cortana it hurts my ears, and when i change the volume it goes back up... Need keeping the volume down?

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 I get this issue where my computer forgets/resets the Input Language Hotkey for English. I used to set it as Ctrl + Shift + 1. But whenever I restart the computer, the hotkey goes back to blank/empty/nothing. I have manually set it in advanced settings several times already and it simply doesn't save it. Never had this problem in all the previous Windows I used (XP, 7, 8 etc).

View 9 Repliesmy game volume and my chat volume are mixed so that when I turn up my chat volume, my game volume also turns up. when I turn up my game volume, it doesn't turn it up, but when I turn up my chat volume, it turns up both my game and chat volume. How can I fix it so that my game volume and chat volume are different?
View -1 RepliesI have Win 10 on for several months with almost no problems. Yesterday I had something (?) on the screen and looked away to the TV. When I looked at the screen it was rotated 90 degrees clockwise. My wife did fix that for me. but still have 2 problems. The (Window) on the far left of the task bar will only respond to a right click. Not a big deal but the speaker button on the right side of the task bar does not open the volume slider. Must left click on the speaker and go from there.
View 4 RepliesI am running Windows 10 Pro in a Toshiba Satellite L850-1FR (15.6"), and every time I start my computer I need to change the scaling level as it seems to be 200% by default, but for me 100% is the right level. Any way to change this default option so I don´t have to change it every time I start Windows? I have attached a print screen.

(This tool was meant for Windows 7).Not only that, but I can't check the battery levels (using either Windows Mobility options or an external battery monitoring software).Uninstalling the software doesn't revert the battery icon, and I still can't check my battery levels.Is there any way of fixing without reinstalling Windows?
View 1 RepliesSo I just tried out ClassicShell on Win10 and although I didn't like it, it has a nice option which allowed you the control the level of opaque/transparency on the taskbar.
However ClassicShell changes a ton of things that I do not want so I was wondering if it was possible to manually change the opaque level without installing ClassicShell.
Also, is it possible to modify the transparency level of the title bar as well? Glass8 does a nice job of adding TitleBar transparency but it's not transparent enough IMO.
I was able to do this in Win 7 however not having it anymore I can't figure out how I did it. In explorer the library icons on the left pane have the actual folder as a submenu item, that is if you expand a library you have to expand the actual folder to see the subfolders. I want the library icon to be the actual folder, and not have to expand it twice.

In the attached image, you can see Steam games, but it affects other shortcuts as well (I just tested with Word, for example). Is this known? If so, any possible solutions?

Whenever I run a Windows 10 specific app, such as Edge, Store, Weather, etc, It opens properly, but the icon on the taskbar is simply a square with a line under it if it is active and only the line shows when it is inactive. If I pin a Windows 10 app to the taskbar, there is no icon at all. All other programs have the proper icon in the taskbar. Is there a way to get the Windows app icons to show in the taskbar?

I am frustrated by this dilemma of Win 10 Update. The update od the Defender library also doesnt work and stops after several minutes complaining about the network. Browsing works of course. Windows Firewall is deactivated. No Antimalware program installed.
I installed an extra HDD, but after that every time I boot up I have this black screen with blinking cursor line for ages before Windows start. I actually counted how many times it blinks .....178 times.
I checked in the bios settings to see if it is set to start with the correct HDD, and it is.
Somehow, I tripped something that adds an extra line to the Sender line in my Microsoft Outlook in Windows 10(formerly Hotmail). Now I get TWO indications of who the sender is, instead of just one. The extra sender line is in smaller font, and appears just above the “normal” sender name. The “Junk” page doesn’t have this doubling up feature. I’ve gone through every settings and option feature, and none of them even mention it. how to get rid of the additional sender line?
