View 9 RepliesI know how to change the colour of the log on screen but not the log off screen
View 1 RepliesCan you change the Individual Colour of live Tiles, even if only the ones you have made yourself.
As it would be far easier to be able to spot the ones that you want to use for different things.
As the title says, i want the log off screen colour to be different to my accent colour.

I Need Change From White Colour to Grey. Can I Do This On Windows 10 ?
I'm having with Windows 10.
I recently did a reinstallation and since doing so, I'm unable to rectify 2 issues I'm having.
The first is my system tray icons and sub menus for task bar icons having a 1px border like the following screenshot:-
The second, if I right click my taskbar icons, I want to make the colour match the rest of the colour scheme, not be black, like the following screenshot:-
Been playing with registry entries for a few days and I cannot seem to get the setup I want running. I will Pic appropriately to illustrate:
Basically, I want to move away from the Light, and into the Dark Theme, Keeping my Teal Colour scheme (looks win95/98, retro~) but the Dark themes apply only to the metro styling. I want Desktop Styling also, the Title Bars from White to Black (or more specifically the Dark theme RGB of 31,31,31):
applied to Title Bars of Desktop:
And of course the Active Window Titles from black to white (to show on the black title bars).
But I also want the Dark Menus:
Metro Dark theme Menu:
Applied to Desktop White Menu:
Photoshopped pic (OK MSPainted) to show what I mean:
(doesn't even need the 'Share + View' part, just the title will make me happy, looks nicer tho )
Hopefully I can get this working and list up all the useless preinstalled apps (to remove them from build), I can apply it to and build my own Win10 ISOs so I can clean-install my Desktop, Laptop and Tablet!
I defined the custom colour as ffffc5 which is supposed to be a really pale yellow as seen here
But instead, it looks like this:
I figure it could be from Windows using ABGR instead of the RGB I used to get these colours from Paint, but how could that change the hexadecimal code I translated it to?
how to make my Origin Tile show as the default colour, as I've not touched anything and it's gone black since I updated Windows 10.
View 6 RepliesI pretty much have resolved all my niggling little issues with Windows 10.....I however can not seem to get the clock on the lockscreen to show as 24 hour clock. I have it set to 24 hour clock everywhere else but the lockscreen. In fact even in the preview for the lockscreen settings it shows it in 24 hour mode, but in reality when the lockscreen comes up it still shows the time in 12 hour clock. So am I missing something somewhere? If it shows on the preview as 24 hour clock, this leads me to believe that this capability does exist. No?
View 9 RepliesThere appears to be no way of configuring a taskbar clock on my Windows 10 desktop - I have tried every visible menu option.. The taskbar properties menu provides no option for a clock although I have seen Windows 10 displays that show a clock (and calendar).
Note: My original Windows 7 system, before the upgrade, had the taskbar clock disabled as I already had a clock gadget on display - could this be the reason?
I upgraded from Win7 to Win 10 and am not able to view the new clock/calendar.Tried the "UseWin32TrayClockExperience" hack but it still does not work with the entry set at "0". If I edit the entry to "1", I do see the win7 old clock. Just not able to get the Win 10 clock/calendar working.
View 9 RepliesWhen scrolling using the lower arrow in a maximized browser window, occasionally I hit the clock causing the massive pop-up. I can change the clock to the Win32 one and I can find much on disabling the Windows 8 Charms, but nothing on disabling the 'click-to-show' clock pop-up.
I'm happy to retain right/click 'Adjust time/date' function for when I purposely click it.
I suppose I could resize the scrollbar properties to have a bigger button but I think this would throw a lot of websites out of whack and I'm not quite ready to accept it's time for the geriatrics home just yet - I believe my fine motor skills are still just that. Maybe it's lazy pointer control, but the amount of times I hit it is getting frustrating.
Is there any way to create a shortcut for the Date and Time Information window, which pops-up when you click on the date & time on the taskbar?
I had an autokey for this in windows 8.1 but it doesn't work with windows 10....
I installed Windows 10 yesterday and used a lot of registry hacks already.
I'm having a little problem with the new lock screen. I use Windows in English but I choose Spanish (Argentina) in region and format in control panel.
What I can't figure out is how to get the day of the week and month with the first letter uppercase, here's a couple screens to show what happens when I choose English vs. Spanish
I'm trying to get my small taskbar to display both time and date, like the regular big taskbar. By default, Windows displays time and date on the taskbar in bottom-right corner. But if you go into taskbar's properties and select the option to show smaller icons, the taskbar becomes a little bit smaller (which is great) and there's no room for date to be displayed (which is not great at all).
I found a few "solutions" for Windows 7, like using some third-party apps to override the default one (but there's all kinds of issues with them), or creating a new toolbar pointing to a folder that is being renamed everyday via schedule (ridiculous!) and so on.Back when I was using Windows 7, I found a dark theme that actually solved this problem (google "cryeR deviantart windows 7 basic black theme"). You had to take ownership and replace the Aero.msstyles file, and then patch some stuff with provided utility. Kinda complicated, but it worked. Now I'm on Windows 10, and I can't find anything that would work. I really like the smaller taskbar, but I would also like to see the date.
On my Windows 10 Home desktop i don't have the option to change colour, desktop background, sound and screen saver.
In the photo below that's what i am missing. [URL] ....
What mine looks like [URL] .....
As per title. I'm thinking this might be video driver related as it happens mostly when I'm windowing a game and opening other apps etc.
Problem:
Usually it looks like this:
I have my desktop picture set to change every hour or so but despite trying various settings it only seems to change every month or two!
I have two monitors driven by a Nvidia Quadro 600. Neither display is changing.
Also, when I first setup the two monitors, the screens aver would alternate the images on the two monitors. i.e. Pjicture A on right then B on left with A still on right, then C on left with B still on right, and so on. Now A appears on right with left blank, then B on left with right blank. Not sure why it changed.
Not a vitally required fix but it would be nice if it behaved as it should!
I just upgrade windows 10 from windows 7 and I'm customizing some default folder to match my settings in my windows 7. I got a little problem and it's really annoying me. Here is the screenshot of my This PC
as you can see, I change the windows default folder for downloads to drive F:. How can I make it to show the drive name instead of drive letter? I used the same steps I do in windows 7 and it was working, but in windows 10, it change the download folder to drive letter.
So I want to make a new font to use on my computer instead of Arial but I can't figure out how to change the default font.
View 1 RepliesUnderstand that default Title Bar in Windows 10 is white, However when I click on themes (which shows various title bar/window borders colors (or Shades) my Title Bar stays completely white.
View 1 RepliesHow do you place the clock on the desktop in windows 10?
View 2 RepliesThere's no way, i can't change the taskbar color. No matter if i go to Settings - Colors and change the options, it keeps showing me a white ugly taskbar. i've found in my w10 installation.
View 5 RepliesI was wondering if there was a way to change the look of the window buttons to something like Windows 8.
Here's what that looks like: [URL] ....
I was wondering how you change the language in the start up? Like when the computer is shutting down/turning on, when you wake it up from sleep and enter a PIN, etc.
When I was picking the language in the initial start up, I accidentally chose French because the touchpad was really grippy. I've changed the language back to English for when I'm actually using the computer, but the start up and lock screens are still in French.
