Customization :: How To Keep From Automatically Jumping To TILE PAGE On Boot Up
Sep 1, 2015
My windows 10 boots up and immediatelt drops me into the tile page and as yet I have figured no way to conveniently move back to my regular desktop, taskbar, etc?
I really like how Microsoft combined the old start menu with the new Metro style tiles. There is only one problem though: How do I even change the color for a single individual tile? I know I can change the color of every tile, but how about only one?
I have basically given up hope that Microsoft will return the Windows 7 (and before) Start Menu back where it belongs. So I want to play their game and try to modify the tile side. I see that programs that I pin to the Start menu go to the very bottom of the tiles. I added a title called Start List Programs and moved all of the pinned programs under that title.
I am wondering if I could move that title and the list of programs above the Life at a Glance section. I know that every time I pin something to the Start menu I would have to move it to the top but it would be better than having to pull the bar down to the bottom every time I wanted to access something from the Start menu. If that fails, I will see if Classic Shell has a Windows 10 option and go from there.
How can i install games from Microsoft store without been installed to All Programs Start window and instead to be installed as big tile in the start screen in windows 10?
I have updated twice to windows 10 and both times I had a big problem with my cursor jumping all over the screen . So i had to go back to windows 8.1 . Is there any solution to this problem, because I want to do the update..
I have downloaded windows 10. I am having an aweful problem with my pointer - it self selects anything and everything. If left on a page it increases or decreases the viewing percentage. I looked in settings but couldn't see anything there to stop this.
As Scotty might say to Captain Kirk, "Captain, I have no control!". When I am trying to do some cleanup or other work amongst my files in File Explorer, the cursor keeps jumping around, and it is difficult to keep it grounded in the spot I'm working on.
I just upgraded to Win10. I am using the computer as a HTPC and need the PC to boot up automatically each day so it can runs some scripts. I have been doing this by enabling the computer to automatically boot up within the UEFI . This no longer works after the Win 10 upgrade.
Is there a way to have Win10 automatically cycle through the themes? I really like the pictures in a good number of the country-specific themes and would like win10 to just cycle through the themes automatically instead of me switching them every few days.
Is this strange. When I change my desktop wallpaper on one PC it changes to the same picture on my second PC. and I haven't even downloaded the wallpaper on the second machine.
My laptop recently got hanged, then I restarted the laptop. But right from the booting Windows 10 screen, a music is being played in background.
Nobody uses my laptop since 1 year apart from me. And I never did any such settings. Here is the link to that audio I recorded from my mobile phone. [URL] ....
I can't see any such processes running in Task Manager as well.
For a while now my PC takes about 1.5 hours to start loading Windoiws and loading Windows itself takes about 30 minutes. Reinstalling didn't fix this issue. Now adding to my problem my PC froze today and after the 2 hour boot I now get the page fault in non-paged area every time I boot, and can't boot at all. I've reinserted my ram sticks the day before (trying to fix the first problem) and was able to log into Windows once until the freeze. I can't boot into safe mode or anything because of the time that it takes to start loading Windows. Makes this a lot trickier. I've got a lot of valuable data too so how should I approach this?
I've got a Windows 10 machine that was automatically upgraded from Windows 8.1. It was working fine for a few months. Suddenly it just hangs on boot. It gets to the blue screen with the spinning white dots. Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del brings me to the login screen but with only a restart and shutdown option. I can boot into safe mode, but I don't know what to do there.
I would like to automatize cleaning the Windows 10's start menu from all these default pinned apps that I'm not using. I don't want to remove apps, only unpin from from start.
I tried to google, but didn't find any. There seems to be no command to pin and unpin apps in start menu. Any alternative methods? The information about the configuration of start menu must be stored somewhere....
I have a desktop computer, it was working fine almost a year and now from a few days I am having a serious issue and that is when using my computer (generally or during gaming) it displays an error i.e PAGE_FAULT_FOUND_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. The screen turns pink and the edges are green (that's probably because of the resolution as I use 3840x2160 so the error kinds of destorts) but that's not the real issue, the main problem is the error itself.
My Computer specifications : Intel i7 4790 Asus Maximus VII Formula ROG Kingston 8GBx2 DD3 Ram (Simple ones, not the gaming ones) 1TBx2 Seagate HDD Asus GeForce Titan X Corsair CX850M.
Today when i booted up i noticed ive no desktop background, i can cycle through backgrounds and i can see borders changing color but my desktop stays black, ran sfc /scannow which it found/fixed errors but nothing to do with my issue, rebooted, ran ccleaner, still broken....
