Nov 13, 2015I have a PC running Windows 10, but it is taking an unusually long time to boot. It can take more than 5 minutes, even though the boot drive is a 250GB Crucial MX200 with the latest firmware. I know that this is a very vague issue, but if i should provide more info for you, let me know.

Aug 1, 2015I was using Windows 7, and using too much wallpaper at background. In windows 7 i can set the change picture time to minimum 10 seconds. But in Windows 10 this time is minimum 1 min. This so long time for me because i want to see all my wallpapers a short time. Another problem is there is no Shuffle options. How to shuffle the wallpapers.
So there is any way too change this setting. Maybe in regedit?

I am running in safe mode now without problem for quite a while so I guess it is a driver problem, I hope?

Laptop Freezes After About 20 Seconds Of Run Time
Dec 22, 2015So recently I installed a new driver supplied from the GeForce Experience app. I believe it was version 361.43 or so. After installation, I turned off my computer. Come back next day. Turn on laptop, computer bugs out after signing in, then crashes... Now, Windows 10 responded with a few errors. First came DPC watchdog violation. Then came something like nvidkrnl or something. Then nvid something something Fatal error. Finally came less than or equal to. All error reports came on separate occasion. The second and third errors are recurring. Now, I tried uninstalling everything related to Nvidia to see if the issue will be gone (as this has happened before. Uninstalling everything fixed it last time ). None of my recovery points are present.

Aug 4, 2015I set the screen saver to " blank" and " 10 min. " and at some point it re-sets and won't initialize and the time is set to " 1 min. " It never comes on at that point.
So, I set it again. and again at some point it's back to as if it was not set again.
At first I thought it was just me not doing something right but it happened to my Mom's computer as well.
Update : It seems to change when I shutdown and then start up in the morning as well as any re-boot.
Java Program Crashes All The Time After About 3 Seconds
Mar 2, 2015Every time I open a java program (netbeans, mc) it crashes after about 3sec. The aplications works when I run java 32-bit but I can't run anything with more then 1,5Gb of ram and if I change to 64 (deleting 32-bit and installing 64-bit)the aplications just crashes after 3sec. I've tried running both java 7 and 8 but it still crashes. I believe it's a problem with windows 10 but I'm not sure...

Nov 17, 2015When scrolling using the lower arrow in a maximized browser window, occasionally I hit the clock causing the massive pop-up. I can change the clock to the Win32 one and I can find much on disabling the Windows 8 Charms, but nothing on disabling the 'click-to-show' clock pop-up.
I'm happy to retain right/click 'Adjust time/date' function for when I purposely click it.
I suppose I could resize the scrollbar properties to have a bigger button but I think this would throw a lot of websites out of whack and I'm not quite ready to accept it's time for the geriatrics home just yet - I believe my fine motor skills are still just that. Maybe it's lazy pointer control, but the amount of times I hit it is getting frustrating.

Aug 2, 2015Whenever I open a folder and position it on desktop whereI want it to be, after closing and reopening it again, it repositions. With a few opening-closings I realized that every time I open the folder anew, it gets repositioned a bit lower, diagonally. This wasn't happening on Windows 8.1. Is there any way to keep the folder in the same position every time I open it?

Jan 5, 2016I regularly use the 24 hour time format for all of my systems. Its not a major issue I have now with Win10, but its annoying a bit.
Before I logon to Windows 10, the default lock screen theme has the time in 12 hour format instead of the 24 hour format.
In Windows, I set everything in 24 hour time. Period. I just don't like 12 hour time.
However, when I sign out or just by locking my screen, it does show the time in 24 hour format.
But when I reboot my system it shows the time in 12 hour format.

Mar 14, 2016I have windows 10 installed on a ssd drive and my boot time is around 2 minutes. I've tried everything that I could find online, such as: disable startup programs, enable fast boot etc. . I had some corrupt image files, but I repaired them using DISM and now 'sfc /scannow' is not returning any errors.
I want to mention that I did a clean install of windows 10(I did not upgrade it, I removed what I had before completely).
I had windows 7 which was booting really fast.
My system model is z97x-gaming 3 and I have 16GB RAM.

Unusual 3 Minute Hibernation On HP Laptop
Aug 14, 2015I have an HP DV7 laptop that I upgraded from Win 7 Home to Win 10 Home. After the upgrade I noted that once my laptop goes into hibernation 1 time and you bring it out of hibernation, the laptop then ignores the power settings and immediately goes back into hibernation after 3 minutes of inactivity. As long as you're moving the mouse or typing on the keyboard you're OK but if your totally inactive then in 3 minutes the machine will go into hibernation. Note also that this does this even when the laptop is directly connected to a power source and not running directly on the batteries.

Dec 14, 2015I have my desktop picture set to change every hour or so but despite trying various settings it only seems to change every month or two!
I have two monitors driven by a Nvidia Quadro 600. Neither display is changing.
Also, when I first setup the two monitors, the screens aver would alternate the images on the two monitors. i.e. Pjicture A on right then B on left with A still on right, then C on left with B still on right, and so on. Now A appears on right with left blank, then B on left with right blank. Not sure why it changed.
Not a vitally required fix but it would be nice if it behaved as it should!

as you can see, I change the windows default folder for downloads to drive F:. How can I make it to show the drive name instead of drive letter? I used the same steps I do in windows 7 and it was working, but in windows 10, it change the download folder to drive letter.
