View 6 RepliesI regularly use the 24 hour time format for all of my systems. Its not a major issue I have now with Win10, but its annoying a bit.
Before I logon to Windows 10, the default lock screen theme has the time in 12 hour format instead of the 24 hour format.
In Windows, I set everything in 24 hour time. Period. I just don't like 12 hour time.
However, when I sign out or just by locking my screen, it does show the time in 24 hour format.
But when I reboot my system it shows the time in 12 hour format.
I'm having with Windows 10.
I recently did a reinstallation and since doing so, I'm unable to rectify 2 issues I'm having.
The first is my system tray icons and sub menus for task bar icons having a 1px border like the following screenshot:-
The second, if I right click my taskbar icons, I want to make the colour match the rest of the colour scheme, not be black, like the following screenshot:-
windows phone 10 people live tile does not shows pictures from my contacts?
View 5 RepliesI have found no way to change the date and clock colour...
View 9 RepliesBeen playing with registry entries for a few days and I cannot seem to get the setup I want running. I will Pic appropriately to illustrate:
Basically, I want to move away from the Light, and into the Dark Theme, Keeping my Teal Colour scheme (looks win95/98, retro~) but the Dark themes apply only to the metro styling. I want Desktop Styling also, the Title Bars from White to Black (or more specifically the Dark theme RGB of 31,31,31):
applied to Title Bars of Desktop:
And of course the Active Window Titles from black to white (to show on the black title bars).
But I also want the Dark Menus:
Metro Dark theme Menu:
Applied to Desktop White Menu:
Photoshopped pic (OK MSPainted) to show what I mean:
(doesn't even need the 'Share + View' part, just the title will make me happy, looks nicer tho )
Hopefully I can get this working and list up all the useless preinstalled apps (to remove them from build), I can apply it to and build my own Win10 ISOs so I can clean-install my Desktop, Laptop and Tablet!
I know how to change the colour of the log on screen but not the log off screen
View 1 RepliesI am wondering if mail app shows unread count on live tile? I have 2 accounts setup but don't ever see a count.
View 4 RepliesCan you change the Individual Colour of live Tiles, even if only the ones you have made yourself.
As it would be far easier to be able to spot the ones that you want to use for different things.
As the title says, i want the log off screen colour to be different to my accent colour.

I Need Change From White Colour to Grey. Can I Do This On Windows 10 ?
I defined the custom colour as ffffc5 which is supposed to be a really pale yellow as seen here
But instead, it looks like this:
I figure it could be from Windows using ABGR instead of the RGB I used to get these colours from Paint, but how could that change the hexadecimal code I translated it to?
When opening it i don't want to see Frequent folders and files, how can i change it so i can see only the drives?

View 6 RepliesWhen I log in, I want to go directly to the start screen rather than the desktop and having to click the windows icon/button.I have tried right clicking on the taskbar->properties->Navigation Tab and the only option there is the option to replace command prompt with windows powershell.
I have tried setting the group policy User Configuration->Administrative Template->Start Menu and Taskbar->"Go to the desktop instead of start when signing in" to both disabled and not configured with no effect.how to get the other options to show up in the Navigation Tab of taskbar properties or how to set the start screen as the default when signing in?I am on Windows 10 Pro build 10240, upgraded from 8.1 Pro and am logged in with an administrator account.
I was trying to install WMP on my PC; I disovered that it was already installed, even though there was no icon on the desktop, start menu or application bar.
Anyway, I'm now trying to set it as the default application for opening music CDs. The problem is that it is not listed in the default programs, and I cannot seem to get it included on the list. I know how to associate programs with different file types, but that's not really what I want; I'd like WMP to launch automatically when I insert a CD.
So, I have just bought a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 14) running Win10. After Win7 everything is a bit of a shock. The current problem I have encountered (there are many more) is that I don't seem to be able to force Win 10 to make Photoscape the default app for managing images. I can open individual photos with the program but only by using the 'open with' option.
Trying to use 'Settings', it tells me Photoscape is there, however, it is listed as 'unavailable'. Furthermore, when attempting to make the change Win 10 lists only its own photo app or 'Go to the store'.
I really like how Microsoft combined the old start menu with the new Metro style tiles. There is only one problem though: How do I even change the color for a single individual tile? I know I can change the color of every tile, but how about only one?
View 1 RepliesWhy is it that some programs (like Edge, which I don't use), can have a bigger tile, on the start menu, and others (like Firefox, which I use) don't?
View 4 RepliesWindows 8.1 had a desktop tile in the start screen. Windows 10 does not appear to have it. Is there a way to get the desktop tile back in windows 10?
View 6 RepliesAnyway to make start button list all my applications without having to to click all apps and remove the abc categories?
View 2 RepliesOK so I have Word 2013 installed and I want it to be the HTML editor in IE 11 [Version 11.0.10240.16431 loaded].
The Internet Options page for HTML editing on my PC only allows me to choose Notepad.
How do I add to the drop down menu WORD or is this desired configuration set elsewhere?
My windows 10 boots up and immediatelt drops me into the tile page and as yet I have figured no way to conveniently move back to my regular desktop, taskbar, etc?
View 1 RepliesI have basically given up hope that Microsoft will return the Windows 7 (and before) Start Menu back where it belongs. So I want to play their game and try to modify the tile side. I see that programs that I pin to the Start menu go to the very bottom of the tiles. I added a title called Start List Programs and moved all of the pinned programs under that title.
I am wondering if I could move that title and the list of programs above the Life at a Glance section. I know that every time I pin something to the Start menu I would have to move it to the top but it would be better than having to pull the bar down to the bottom every time I wanted to access something from the Start menu. If that fails, I will see if Classic Shell has a Windows 10 option and go from there.
How can i install games from Microsoft store without been installed to All Programs Start window and instead to be installed as big tile in the start screen in windows 10?
View 3 RepliesI guess its best to start with the fact i have a triple monitor set up all running off a nvidia 970 video card. 2 24 inch monites left/right and a 32 in monitor in the center. When ever i try to play battlefield 1942, the older sim city, red alert 2/yuri's revenge etc since upgrading to windows 10. the game seems like its playing in fullscreen. But as soon as i go to the left or right edge of the screen my curser comes out of game, and i select what ever the mouse is over dropping me from game. i just played starwars battle front beta for the last 3 hours so i know its not an issue with game launched from origin, and probably related to win10 and older games.
