My laptop is working perfectly however my desktop is having the problems. When I go to where the date and time is and left-click on it nothing happens. If I right click it will give me the options to adjust date/time etc.. But what I want to fix is when I left-click there the time/calendar to open.
View 2 RepliesI've done the settings for the time & date. However, no matter how wide I make the Taskbar, the short form continues to be shown. In Windows 7, when the Taskbar was widened, the long form would be shown. Is there something I need to do here? Or is this yet another bug?
View 9 RepliesSince I upgraded to Windows 10, many things have been problematic. However, my issue currently is that the Date and Time keep popping up and remain popped up. I am referring to the one which shows and entire month calendar, along with the time, day, etc. It would usually occur upon clicking on the time and date in the lower left hand corner. Whenever I click that to get rid of the expanded version, it shows up again a few seconds later as if I clicked on it.

View 8 RepliesI have additional time zones setup on my date and time. When i was running win 8.1 and i clicked on the time it popped up with 3 clocks - all nice and pretty easy on the eye and all that.
Now it pops up with the calendar uk time in large text and at the top in small text the time on my other 2 time zones.
Windows 10 doesnt update Date and Time automatically. How to solve this?

View 1 RepliesWhen scrolling using the lower arrow in a maximized browser window, occasionally I hit the clock causing the massive pop-up. I can change the clock to the Win32 one and I can find much on disabling the Windows 8 Charms, but nothing on disabling the 'click-to-show' clock pop-up.
I'm happy to retain right/click 'Adjust time/date' function for when I purposely click it.
I suppose I could resize the scrollbar properties to have a bigger button but I think this would throw a lot of websites out of whack and I'm not quite ready to accept it's time for the geriatrics home just yet - I believe my fine motor skills are still just that. Maybe it's lazy pointer control, but the amount of times I hit it is getting frustrating.
Is there any way to create a shortcut for the Date and Time Information window, which pops-up when you click on the date & time on the taskbar?
I had an autokey for this in windows 8.1 but it doesn't work with windows 10....
The display in the corner of my desktop task bar shows the time. If I click I see the date, a whole month calendar, and UTC time. I'd like to see the time/day/date without clicking. I don't see how to adjust that setting.
View 5 RepliesI suddenly have no desktop calendar showing when I click on the time and date in the taskbar. There used to be a huge rectangluar thing with a calendar there, but now nothing.
I added a screenshot to show what it does when I click on the date and time... no calendar pops up.
After a recent Windows 10 update on my laptop and my work computer the date no longer shows on the taskbar. The clock is visible and the calendar pops up when you click on it, but no date. No settings were changed by me and everything is enabled as far as I can tell. Is this just some sort of glitch or is there something I am missing to bring the date back?

View 5 RepliesA few days ago, after an automatic Windows 10 update on my desktop computer, I found that: right clicking icons on the taskbar does nothing - none of the options appear; the start button on the left of the taskbar only works by right-clicking and accessing the old Windows 8 style options; the search icon on the taskbar does nothing; the Windows 10 calculator has disappeared - when I press the calculator key on my keyboard a message appears saying "You'll need a new app to open this calculator". It seems to have been deleted from the computer.
Until these things happened Windows 10 was working well.
This morning, the clock on my system tray stopped updating itself about an hour after I turned on the computer. It is plugged in and has been plugged in for days on end without being carried around the house. If I go into the control panel and look at date/time, the time is right, it just isn't updated on the system tray anymore. I tried modifying the time zone to see if it would redisplay the clock - no. I tried dragging the taskbar around to see if it would refresh the clock - no.
I have not yet rebooted, that might very well fix it at least temporarily - but I thought I'd ask if this is something people have already seen and solved by restarting a service or some such system fix. I googled a bit and read the similar posts retrieved from here, eightforums, sevenforums, and the useless ones from Microsoft that recommend safe mode and DISM for everything...
Interesting tidbit is that if I right-click on the clock and choose Adjust Date/Time, it doesn't do anything. Once it returned a dialog saying something about there being no service associated, but now I can't get that dialog to come back.

unfortunately my Windows 10 experience has been ruined by the taskbar. The time doesn't appear at the bottom right, none of my apps are displayed at the bottom, I can't access the windows/start key, I can't use Cortana, if I try to use any of these nothing happens, I've tried everything and nothing works, my Settings button has disappeared also due to me not being able to hit the start button at the bottom left or using my keyboard to do so

Whenever I open a folder and position it on desktop whereI want it to be, after closing and reopening it again, it repositions. With a few opening-closings I realized that every time I open the folder anew, it gets repositioned a bit lower, diagonally. This wasn't happening on Windows 8.1. Is there any way to keep the folder in the same position every time I open it?
View 9 RepliesEverytime I do something like open a new tab/website, or click on something that has to load, my audio on whatever I'm listening to lags and has that loud buzz sound.
This lag/buzz sound happens randomly when I listen to things on youtube without clicking on things too.
How do you change the amount of time the tooltip popup stays open in Win10 when I mouse over an icon that generates a popup? I want to make it so the popup stays longer.
View 3 RepliesI just got Windows 10 installed, and the first problem I'm having is that I can't get the folders in my taskbar to open either by regular click, or by right click and selecting "Open". The exception is File Explorer which works by default clicking the folder icon, or by right clicking the taskbar icon and selecting it either by click or right-click-open. The rest of the folders, ones I pinned and ones that are there as frequent folders, just sit there and do nothing when clicked on. I tried a restart, turned off a lot of the apps that start with my computer, but still not opening files. It's slowing down my work to have to go through the file explorer each time.
View 1 RepliesI upgraded to Windows 10 last night and have had nothing but problems. The biggest one is the fact that I cannot open the start menu, I had worked around it by right clicking it and then selecting what I needed from there. However now that doesn't even work.
View 4 RepliesI use the start menu of the secondary monitor to open an application, that application open on the primary monitor.
Is there a way to get that application to open on the monitor I started it from. (Using the Start Button of that monitor) ?
I don't actually get the point of having an extra start menu taskbar on that second monitor if it actually open the application on the primary one instead of the current one. It defeat the purpose of having a Start button on those secondary monitor. (I means if you gonna open an application on the primary one, I might as well just use the Start button of the primary one!!)
Also i'm having a second issue related to the first one i guess:
Example: I open ChromeFile Explorer or whatever on my secondary monitor and close it. When I try to open a new one on any monitor it would open it at the LAST KNOW LOCATION of where I closed it.
This is very annoying when you use "Virtual Desktop" "Multiple Monitor" If I open an application I expect it to open where I launch it from(Monitor,Virtual Desktop etc).
