Using Mail for Win 10 for first time, as that is what appeared for my Outlook email account. I found today that when using either CC or BCC a 'Return' occurs immediately after entering an email address, thereby moving the cursor to the line below, requiring moving the cursor back to that original line so that another email address can be entered, and again and again.. Never saw this before so probably/hopefully a fix is coming.
While typing an email I touched the Caps Lock key mid-sentence and typed one capital letter in error. I touched that key turning off the caps lock function and the light went off. But from that point on I could only type in CAPS regardless of what I did. I had to close email and restart it to have it return to normal.

Jan 23, 2016I am having a problem whereby my default browser keeps changing from IE11 back to either Edge or blank. Why this might be happening or what program is causing it to change? I thought it maybe the Windows Auto Update that keep changing but am now not so sure of that since the last recorded update is back on 14th January and my default Browser got changed again last evening.
The only other programs that run regularly are Norton Internet Security and Norton Utilities. However, I have been through the settings of both of those programs and cannot detect anything that would indicate that they change the default Browser.
Also, in IE11 under the advanced tab I have ticked the option the "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser" and yet (a) I do not get a notification and (b) the default browser keeps getting changed.

Feb 10, 2016I'm having a persistent problem with Google Chrome. Although Windows 10 says Chrome is the default browser, Google Chrome itself does not "believe" it, and I keep getting the "Google Chrome is not your default browser" notification when I bring up the browser.
In settings it says that Google Chrome is NOT the default browser and no matter how many times I click on the button to tell Google Chrome to make it the default browser, it just pops up the Windows 10 window that shows me that according to Windows 10, it IS the default browser. I have run a Repair Install Windows 10 With an In-place Upgrade hoping it would solve the problem, but it did not...

Jan 19, 2016I recently upgraded my Hard Drive with an Samsung SSD Drive evo 850 for my operating system and programs. I placed the secondary drive to host my file folders. Somehow in the mist of trying to automatically port my default Document, Downloads, Pictures,Videos and Music Folder to the secondary drive, my Music folder name changed to (Document) as you can see on the image with the arrow pointed to it.. Now i tried to right click it and in the General tab it shows the name Document greyed with the music symbol out, so i can't change it.

I am comming from the Linux Mint where you have option "fonts" in control panel and there you change fonts, but here in W10 I can not find anything similar. Also, on my laptop Acer E5-571G, fonts are kinda hard to read, they are not very clear, like here on this site for example. Clear type tuning or however it is called is turned on. This is why I would like to change fonts to something else than default.

I have rerun windows and still the same problem. in cyberfox i fixed it easily enough, but for chrome and torch no love. I found a couple of things about registry entries but they did not work. I try to assign bittorrent to magnet links in windows but i cannot choose a default app from the system, I only get what you see below which is to "look for an app in the store". there must be a way to fix this so i can pick an app already on my system.

Feb 23, 2016Whenever I plug a photo card in to my PC, the new Photo Viewer program is launched (which doesn't find the card but that doesn't matter as I don't want to use that program anyway). How can I change the default import program to one of my choice (Lightroom).
I can of course shut it down, load Lightroom and then select the card but I always have to go through the process of first shutting down the program that loads automatically. If anything is going to load automatically I would rather pick my own!

I've tried switching it in settings but it does nothing. I've tried switching it in the Bios menu. Also nothing. I hate having to press the [Fn] key every time I want to pause a song or change the volume or the screen brightness, but the system seems determined to force me to do so?

Feb 10, 2016I was wondering if theres a way to change how and where new apps open? Say i open a new window of My Computer, it automatically opens in a small box in the left side of my screen. I would prefer it automatically open taking up half of the display. Is this possible?
