URL... and now its been stuck on a screen that says "Installing Windows" at the top with a percentage and circle in the middle and a note at the bottom that it's installing features and drivers. However, it has been doing this for two full days now. It comes back up at 64%, goes to 100%, restarts, then goes through the same thing. I have a Dell laptop and no error messages come up at any time.

View 1 RepliesI ran the window 10 installation last night on my Lenovo Y50 laptop. Today it is stuck in an endless loop of trying to Preparing Automatic Repair, diagnosing PCs and wanting to restart. I can't get past the limited choice of options to actually do anything useful. I just want to get rid of the thing and go back to Window 8. I am to computer stupid to know how do this. I only recently got the laptop. I don't have a recovery disk.
View 3 Repliesi was updating my windows 7 to 10. it was updating smoothly but then my father hard reset the laptop and now my laptop is stuck, it goes to the booting menu. then the "windows error recovery" screen, and when i choose "start windows normally" it shows the logo and says "starting windows" and then it just restarts. how do i solve this? this loop has been going on for the last 2 hours.
View 1 RepliesI have had this loop for 4-5 hours now, and I have not found any fix for it. I am using build 10240. I have tried reverting back to windows 7, and that failed. Tried start-up repair, that failed. Tried system restore and image recovery, those failed too. Even resetting my pc has failed. I have tried cmd commands, and those also failed. I have upgraded to windows 10 via online from Windows 7, and I do not have a disk or another computer to work with. Nothing has even caused this issue. I just booted my pc like any other day and I was sent into this loop. I have a Gigabyte USB 3.0 powered motherboard.

View 1 RepliesMy computer froze and I restarted it. After I turned it off and started it back up again, it didn't boot into Windows. At first it was giving me a message about inserting the boot media. I reset it again and loaded windows 10 but it went into a "diagnosing your pc" loop where it would sit there for hours not doing anything. I checked in the case to make sure all of the hard drives were connected. But when I went to bios, it said nothing was in the sata slot that my ssd was plugged into. I restarted again and was met with the same problem. I read that I would have to reset the pc. So I started the process and it is on hanging at "resetting this pc 8%" and has been there for roughly 20 hours. I don't know what I should do as a next step.

I followed the instructions but my computer seemed to be stuck on 'Resetting this PC at 1%' my laptop must have died during this and now every time I try to start up my laptop it gets to the load screen and then goes to black and then tries to reboot again. I'm lost at the moment.

Now when i start my pc I cant press f8 and get into advanced boot options and when windows starts up It says INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. and then windows keeps restarting my pc for no reason.
I do not have a windows CD. I can only get into my ASROCK Bios
while working on my laptop, it suddenly goes off, and I cant get it to switch back on, so I take the battery out and after few seconds I try to switch it back on, no go, then
after a minute or so, the computer suddenly springs back to life, saying its doing a windows update,i had no notification of a windows update, so I cant understand whats going on here, and best of all , this is the second time this has happened
My Samsung Activ9 came with windows 8 preinstalled, to upgrade it to 8.1 I had to manually install every windows update by hand and some had to be installed before the others, so hundreds of individual updates had to be done which took me all day.
I upgraded to windows 8.1 eventually and thought 'excellent, no more manually installing updates as recovering my system would mean starting with a fresh copy of windows 8.1 right? Nope, i few months ago I had need to recover my notebook to factory defaults and when it was finished it booted into.. yep, windows 8, so again I had to do the individual update thingy.
Will this upgrade to windows 10 mean that should the worst happen and I need to factory reset again, that windows 10 will be the default OS?
A couple of weeks ago I upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Now I'm going to sell my laptop, so I've decided to reset Windows 10.
I opened settings, update & Security, recovery and then chose the "Reset this PC" option. I chose Remove everything, but then I get prompted with a window saying "Could not find the recovery environment. Insert your Windows Installation or recovery media, and restart your PC with the media.
How can I boot my Dell Studio 1749 Laptop from either a USB or External HP CD/DVD drive in order to bypass a disabled internal CD/DVD (with stuck disk)? And how do I create the USB Boot Drive?
The F12 boot options freeze up trying to boot my repair disk in external dvd.
I went to Dell and saw that my laptop is compatible with Windows 10. It's a Dell Inspiron 3737. I thought I fixed my issue when I disabled "fast startup" in power settings. It occurs to me that some of my problems were fixed (excessive battery draining).
If I shut the lid and leave it, the next day the laptop won't turn on. I have to hold the power button down until I see the power LED flash and then I can press the button again to turn on the laptop.
I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10 on it. When it goes into sleep mode, if I swipe the touch pad within a few seconds it will come out of sleep mode. However if I'm not at the computer so that it is in sleep mode for a while, then when I swipe the touch to pad wake it up sometimes it will wake up but sometimes it won't. If it won't wake up then I have to use the power switch to shut it off and reboot it.

My question can I format the the new Dell laptop and install a new copy of Windows 7. Or are there too many driver specific components on a new XPS that need Windows 10 to function properly.

Now when I turn it on I get to the Logo (asus) then get a black screen. (I have tried taking the battery out and pressing the power button for a couple seconds and I got nothing) I don't know what to do!
How can I enter the "choose an option" screen, the blue one. I can reset there. I chose continue to windows 10 and now I keep getting black screen after logo. is there like hotkeys to press while turning on?
After installing windows 10 on my asus laptop yesterday, last night I tried to wipe my laptop by resetting it, i left it at 1% before i went to bed and this morning it was still at 1% so i did a force turn off and when i turned it back on , it got stuck in a boot up loop where it would just keep on restarting [URL].
Safe mode doesn't work, nothing works, except the power button. What should i do? i didn't want to bring it to asus because the warranty expired 2 months ago.
I have a laptop Asus n550jk cn015h with the original windows 8.1 license. I passed to windows 10 few weeks ago and I tried to completely reset it to fix some problems I had. I used the windows 10 reset function and there wasn't anything plugged. It took a couple of hours then it just turn off.when I tried to turn it on it appeared the blue screen page with inaccessible boot device but the laptop is not restarting as I learnt from people having the same problem,it just says that it's gonna restart but it turns off. Every time I try to restart the laptop it always appears the blue screen page and it turns off after a few seconds.
View 1 RepliesI recently upgraded my Windows 7 PC to Windows 10 using Windows Update. The whole process was smooth. I never really ran into any problem. Because the PC is so relatively old, I decided to delete all files and reinstall windows 10 using the windows 10 feature 'Reset This PC' to start fresh and theoretically faster. During the reset when Windows is installing my drivers, I noticed that the screen is plain black - no mouse pointer and the amount of reset finished(in percentage) is not also shown. The screen is just plain black. I am pretty sure that both the monitor and CPU is on. I've tried waiting for atleast an hour. I turned my pc's monitor on and off - nothing happened. So I have to resort to hard reset/reboot coz I cannot really see anything on my screen.
When I turned the power of the CPU back, it gave me the error 'The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. To install Windows, click ok to restart the computer and restart the installation'. I pressed OK but after restarting, it gave me the same error over and over again. I tried the solution in this website ( during installation of windows | HERESJAKEN), and it got rid of the error. However, I am stuck yet again in a loop that continues to just restart my PC when they reach the screen that tells you how much of the reset is finished, in my case, im stuck at 64% of the reset. That screen is shown for like merely 2 seconds, then the PC will just restart again, then show the "Reset progress screen" again for 2 seconds then PC will just restart again, over and over. I think the only solution is to start the reset of the PC again, but I dont know how.
When I got on my computer this morning, I was notified of updates. I used the restart button on the notification page thinking this would start downloading the updates. However, the computer has been stuck in Restart for 3 hours. Microsoft... can you access my IP and stop this loop? Is there anything I can do to stop this loop?
View 1 Replies have an Asus Laptop running Win 10, upgraded from win 7. While reading one of the many links from Facebook, using Chrome as a browser, I got a popup that looked like some kind of ransomware . The popup would not close so I turned off the computer.
Now when I turn the computer on it flashes the Asus logo. Then “preparing automatic repair”, “diagnosing your computer” followed by “repairing your computer” appear. It then tells me that the PC did not start correctly and gives me the option to restart or advanced options. Restart brings me back to this point.
Advanced options gives me three options, Turn orr the PC that does that, Exit and continue to Win 10 that gets me back to the previous step or troubleshoot. Trouble shoot gives me the options to reset or more advanced options.
Reset is either a partial or full removal and reinstall or windows. I have some academic software that I do not want to lose if possible and in any case do not have any media to do a Windows reinstall.
The advanced options gives me six choices.
1 System Restore, but there are no restore points found.
2 System image recovery, but I do not have an image disc .
3 Startup repair, starts the process all over and does not find the problem.
4 Command Prompt, appears to open a working command prompt.
5 Startup Settings, Gives me a non clickable list of options but just continues the loop.
6 Go back to previous build. It warns me that I may lose apps and any changes I have made, but not my personal files.
The System is an ASUS laptop, X54C, made in 2012 with Widows 7 Home premium updated to win 10. I have no other access to the computer.
just got new pc and windows 10 with it when i install the windows and everything finishes and restarts. The pc just boots up back to the installation page. Stuck in loop the dam windows wont start up.
