View 4 RepliesI upgraded to windows 10 and downloaded windows live mail, it works, but when I download new emails it deletes all old and unread emails.
Yesterday I turned on sync as suggested, then I downloaded 10 new emails, I opened 5 and left 5 unopened. This morning I downloaded my emails, as before all previous emails downloaded yesterday disappeared.
windows phone 10 people live tile does not shows pictures from my contacts?
View 5 Repliesam i missing something or did we lose the ability to select all unread mail in the Mail app?
seemd like a backward step if true. are thelNning to address this? i sent feedbback already.
I'm using the simple Windows 10 mail app. Under "Accounts" I have an IMAP mail account and it has no indicator (no number) next to the account name indicating number of unread mails. That makes sense because I have no unread mail in that account. It's a gmail based account, and when I access via the web, there's no unread mail shown there either.
However, when I click on the account and I am looking under Folders, the Inbox items has a "1" indicating there's one unread mail note. I can't find any unread mail in the Inbox. I've closed the program and restarted it, and tried resyncing, but the indicator is still there.
where this "phantom" unread count comes from?
Is it possible to create a live tile and if so how do you do it.
It would be very useful to me for going to various Forums for which I contribute.
Ever since I updated to windows 10 mobile build 10572, live tiles doesn't seems to be working for most of the apps. I thought a hard reset may resolve this issues but even after that the problems still persist.
View 1 RepliesThe 'today' notifications on the tile seems to randomly pick any of my friends and tell me that it's their birthday today.
View 1 RepliesI have 3 live weather tiles in my apps. One of them is working fine, but the other 2 are not live. Can you have more than 1 live weather tile apps for different locations?
I have a surface pro 3 with windows 10. Software is updated. My other live tiles are working just fine.
I have just installed the Threshold 2 update but still my Weather live tile is not working, it worked for a few days after I upgraded from Windows 8 to 10 but ever since then it's not worked, I was hoping this big update was going to fix this.
Is there a way I can reinstall the weather app?
Either doesn't work or works intermittently.
View 9 RepliesMy weather live tile doesn't work no matter what...all the other tiles works flawlessly.
View 2 RepliesA while back I updated my Xbox avatar and took a new picture for it. The updated avatar and picture shows up on my Xbox One, Xbox 360, Games app on my 830 with 8.1, in the Xbox app and live tile on Windows 10 mobile, and in the Xbox app on Windows 10. However, the live tile for the Xbox app on Windows 10 still shows the old avatar picture. I've not found any setting to force an update, and I've tried unpinning and repining the app, but it is still the old picture.
View 4 RepliesNoticed recently that my Weather Live Tile only reports data when it is in medium sizing. Expanding to wide or large disables the live feature for some reason. I was wondering if this is a known issue or if it is just a setting I can modify.
View 1 RepliesI am using Windows 10 Professional edition. Following some random Windows Update a few months ago, my default Windows 10 weather app (the one that can be pinned to the start menu) displays the temperature properly and updates regularly, however, if I click to open it, it opens blank....basically, the window is just the blue background with the little icon of the sun in the center.
This app used to work 100% before.Lastly, I remember my calendar app not opening at all when Windows 10 was fresh. It would immediately close upon opening the calendar app. However, following some random Windows Update, the calendar app started working properly.
I "upgraded" to Windows 10 from 8.1, but I did a FULL install and chose to "save nothing" from 8.1, so it is about as legit as it can get to being a full installation and not an upgrade.
PS, it doesn't seem to matter if I enable to disable background data for the Weather app in privacy settings. I have tried it out both ways, and either way, on or off, the live tile for the weather app still updates, but opens blank and won't show me the large view when I click on it.
I don't use any other apps, I have not downloaded any other apps from the app store, and I have deleted some of the apps that came with Windows 10. I prefer to use my web browser for most things.
I refuse to believe that Microsoft would have omitted this basic function. How does one Import from Windows Live Mail into the Windows 10 Mail App?
View 6 RepliesI have backup copies of my windows mail files on a portable hdd (JRS, Text docs, XML and PAT files) These were created on my old Vista PC. I am now using a new PC with Windows 10 and would like to import them. I have no way of exporting them to create a CSV file. How do I go about this?
View 4 Replieshow to make my Origin Tile show as the default colour, as I've not touched anything and it's gone black since I updated Windows 10.
View 6 RepliesSo, instead of using my browser for my emails I set them up in Windows Mail, but although it will show all the folders it won't show anything in my inboxes. I've tried syncing but to no avail.
View 1 RepliesI have 5 email addresses. When I click on Accounts in the Mail Tile I have to click on each account to find unread mail. Isn't there a way to show all email accounts in one pane with unread mail noted or do you simply have to work your way through all five "Accounts".
View 4 RepliesI have had this issue for a while, any way to restore these. The Cortana Live Tile and Cortana entry in the All Apps section are both missing so I cannot re-add the Live Tile back.
View 3 RepliesDISM commands, SFC , rebuilding cache etc etc etc i dont know what else to try besides a complete wipe and thats not gonna happen. Machine runs just fine otherwise or at least the other bugs this shitty beta OS has do not concern me as much at the moment.
View 1 RepliesThe windows 10 Mail tile on Start Up when first upgraded open fine and it found my account and synced . A few days later , clicking on it, it moves but doesn't open? How do I open it? Or reset it?
View 1 RepliesI am running Windows 10 Build 10130 and none of the apps listed above will launch from the start tile menu or the all apps list. It appears that most of the apps that came with Win 10 won't launch but the apps that I pinned to the start menu work fine. Since I rarely used these apps I don't know how long this problem has been going on. I restored back to an earlier restore point but the problem is still there. I know it is something I screwed up but I can't figure it out.
View 9 RepliesI keep getting the message when I try to open Windows live mail "Windows Live Mail could not be started. It may not be installed correctly. Make sure that your disk is not full or you are not out of memory (0x80041161). I know it is installed correctly as it has worked perfectly until now. Where do I go to make sure that my disk is not full, or out of memory.

Was running Win7, just downloaded Win10.
All good, but Live Mail won't open -- just hangs there until I go to task manager and close the task.
Uninstalled Windows Essentials and re-installed 2012 version from Windows Downloads site.
