Since the last update Win10 I cannot open folders with double click only right mouse click and then open folder. I have 3 times With Microsoft chatted but cannot solve this problem. Driver up to date, change mouse already, no hardware conflicts. Restored the computer back to 3 weeks and it works, but the update comes again and the problems also.

Although I am able to move the cursor/pointer over the touch pad & the right click is working fine as well! I searched the entire internet & nothing seem to work! The last thing I remember doing that might have caused this problem (earlier everything was working fine but sometimes touchpad used to get stuck) is hitting the fn+f5 button that I read in this thread Touchpad not working for windows 10.

Additional detail: Well the properties opened once. After half hour I clicked on properties.
Also Cortana wont launch. It takes several clicks to start. And after it starts it is unable to hear me. But screw cortana. I will probably never use it anyway.
So when I run novaroma.exe(program to download tvsieries) after double click I see from task manager that crash in 2sec. the curious is that when I install it run . but after first restart this problem appears.

every time I double-click a folder in Windows Explorer, it opens in a new window. I know there have been problems on this in earlier versions of Windows.The ONLY time a folder opens in a new window, is when the folder is located in the PICTURES folder. On some occurrences, the folder I'm clicking is opening twice.

Whenever I double click on the icon on my desktop or try to run it as admin, my cursor would show that its loading but the app never launches. The specs of the bookwalker pc app clearly states that it is compatible with windows 10, and yet it would not launch.

So I've been using this Asus K401L with Windows 10 installed for over 3 weeks and it's been working perfectly. Yesterday, my touchpad started to act strange and I was unable to double tap to open folders/icons. It is very strange because, I can double tap and move the touchpad and select all, and even single tap works. It's just that, I can't double tap and open folders. I plugged in my external mouse and I had no issues.
I tried repairing Asus Smart gestures, playing around with mouse properties, but nothing seems to work and I still can't open anything that requires double tap. I can even double tap on an icon and drag in anywhere using touchpad. Double tap to launch/open isn't working and that's the problem.
NOTE: My laptop doesn't have Elan Settings in mouse options.
Things I did yesterday : Using Eclipse, Changed "Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsPower OptionsSystem Settings" and changed what closing the lid does to "nothing" and after some time I reverted it back to "sleep" and I installed COD Ghosts, which took almost 2 hours to archive.

View 9 RepliesI just got Windows 10 installed, and the first problem I'm having is that I can't get the folders in my taskbar to open either by regular click, or by right click and selecting "Open". The exception is File Explorer which works by default clicking the folder icon, or by right clicking the taskbar icon and selecting it either by click or right-click-open. The rest of the folders, ones I pinned and ones that are there as frequent folders, just sit there and do nothing when clicked on. I tried a restart, turned off a lot of the apps that start with my computer, but still not opening files. It's slowing down my work to have to go through the file explorer each time.

View 1 RepliesSo.. I upgraded to windows 10, and like usual, I had high expectations.I installed it, it seemed to work fine and all, then I cant click the task bar. Literally, cannot click into anything except for Steam and Windows Explorer. No start menu working, no internet applications working. So.. I go to reinstall windows 10, and I get the same shit. So now that I cannot open up the start menu, I cant even revert back to Windows 7.My only option now seems to be to just chuck all my shit on my external and do a clean wipe.. Which I don't really want to do but will if needed.

Everything works fine except that when I go into file explorer and try to right click on a file to edit/copy etc it just hangs and locks the whole screen. The mouse works perfectly on everything out of file explorer. I know this problem has been around for a while but I cannot find a solution anywhere. Because the OS was preloaded I don't have any driver discs.
