Since upgrading to Windows 10 I have been unable to download photos from my mobile (not a smartphone just a Nokia with keypad) and my Sony camera. I always use one of the USB slots on my PC or a dongle on my desk which is attached to the PC and I keep getting a message saying it doesn't recognise the source. I am completely at a loss as to what to do next.
Before installing Windows 10, when I plugged in my camera to my PC, I got a dialog box from which I downloaded my pics. Now, nothing appears on the task bar, nor do I get a dialog box. Am at loss what to do next.
When inserting camera disk to computer, Windows 10 will not open. Is there a special driver or update I need to make this work? It worked just fine on Windows 7.
When I installed Windows 10 upgrade I was pretty happy about how it ran. However, when I had finished a day of photography I went to download the pictures onto my computer, but Win 10 couldn't recognise Jpeg's or an other graphic extension such as raw.
When I connected my camera to the computer Win 10 did recognize the camera, so it's not a hardware issue.
How do I put my pictures from Sony camera to Windows 10? It was so easy with Windows 8 as the camera sign came up on my File Explorer and I just copied them to My Pictures! So my pictures are now stuck on my camera!!!!!
How to get Groove to show Artist photos in the PC version? They show fine for most of the artists on my phone, but not the PC app. :S I even tried enabling the metadata setting and that didn't work.
Why the folder where the photos are is what opens up when I plug in a usb camera and not the photo app. I have autoplay enabled and photo as my default photo viewer.
I just noticed something odd tonight when browsing through my photos in Windows 10 10240. Almost all the pictures from my camera roll are blurry / low res when viewing in the new photos app. I compared them side by side on my other PC right next to it running 8.1 pro and it is night and day. The same pictures appear crisp and clean in the traditional windows photo viewer. I know that i have two different monitors with different resolutions but i never noticed a problem before when i had 8.1 on the pc that now has windows 10.
I think this is a real problem with the app in windows 10 because a) when i zoom into those photos that are blurry they become clear when zoomed in enough and b) it is very noticeable, something that i never picked up before when i was on 8.1. Now when i view wallpapers or downloaded images from the internet they seem to be clear so it doesnt really make much sense why it is just my camera roll pictures from my Lumia 929.
I am using a Dell latitude E6400 that was on 7 and now on 10 and since uploading 10 I can not upload photos from me card reader or my camera a Cannon 400D to my pictures.
I use Flickr as a image hosting site and on there when I want to get the image code to post a photo on to a forum I can no longer get the code as when I select the photo and click the share tag as the dropdown comes up the image code bar slides off to the left not letting you click it to use it , will this be a windows problem or a Flickr problem ??
I am a bit of a Old luddite (69) and find this all very confusing and disappointing for what is supposed to be the most tested system they have ever launched ?
I am switching to an ssd soon but my W10 key is a digital entitlement. I was given an iso of W10 from windows tech support in case I ever needed to reinstall W10.
If I install W10 using the iso that is now on a flash drive (media creation tool) to a brand new ssd, will the digital entitlement key be transfered as well, or will i have to purchase a copy of W10?
I have a digital tv hooked up to my laptop via HDMI and windows 10 doesn't detect it. But when I go into AMD catalyst it sees it. What am I doing wrong?
Bought Windows 10 Pro from an authorized dealer and successfully installed then activated Windows 10 on a standalone PC with the Activation key that came with the CD.
With that same CD I installed Windows 10 on a Laptop I had as well, (an additional machine). Could not activate because the key was already being used on the standalone. Okay fine....went to Windows Store and bought another key...arrrrg. The laptop activation was successful "Windows 10 on this device is activated with a digital entitlement"
So what happens if my Laptop goes south, crashes and burns lets say. I re-install Windows 10 with the CD I have, how is that Digital Entitlement I just bought for the Laptop, going to be applied? Or remembered? Surely I'm not going to have buy another...
I did a clean install to Windows 10, because upgrading it break the WiFi connectivity.
Now I got another issue, I noticed that the Audio Driver downloaded from Windows Update is somehow didn't sound good, if I enabled Dolby the bass is drastically reduced like no bass at all. I tried with headset and a small sound system, they both sound like a laptop speaker. The old driver couldn't be installed, the installer always failed.
I tried to use the same driver for windows 10 from another lenovo product with no different. It is not a big deal because I'm using a USB Headset. What matter is when I use a sound system to play music/movie the sound really bad. The solution for now is to disable Dolby but the sound is really low. I would like to know is there is a way to install the old driver to Windows 10 at least?
My sound card is Conexant SmartAudio other spec can be found in Sytem Spec and the installed driver version is 8.66.4.0.
Why can't I view video anymore on Facebook and other videos since downloading Windows 10? - videos appear green or like digital scrambled on Facebook now...

After a long struggle to import my pix from the camera to Win10 and finally succeeding, I've now another mystery
1. How to put the imported 10 or so photos into a folder? I did it with another bunch of imported photos and now I can't remember how I did it though I tried and tried..
2. How can I pick out the ones I want to send (and how to send them by email?) as I prefer not to delete the ones I won't send, to avoid later regrets. I don't even know how to delete any individual photos....
MS keeps everything a secret - no links to choose photos, or delete them, or send them, or change the order in which they are arranged, etc. I had come to learn photos in Win7 with "Photo Gallery" after a long time - now I'm condemned to the same torture on the new windows!
Even if I mark an album, say, 'my documents' as a "documents" type folder in my onedrive online settings, these photos will still be included in my 'photos' tab stream. that and, any photo ever that's on my PC will show up- not just photos in my "my photos" folder on my PC. it's really annoying, i'm getting gamesave pictures, wallpapers, screenshots, and all kinds of random crap that aren't supposed to be part of my camera roll stream all over my one drive... why is it doing this?
When viewing photos stored on OneDrive in the Photos app for Windows 10, is it possible to save it to your PC? I can't seem to see an option to do so...
So I upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to Windows 10 last night and so far quite impressed. However it looks like an issue has carried over from Windows 8.1 to 10.
I'm finding that the Photos app cannot see the photos stored on my SD card. I have directed the library to point to the SD card and it is the only location defined in the Library for Photos. This was a problem in 8.1 but as I never used the app I stopped worrying about trying to sort it. However I can see myself using the app in 10, so would like to figure out what is happening.
It's not a case of the app not showing duplicates because I temporarily disabled the option for it to show OneDrive photos and now nothing shows.
I am using a Samsung Slate 2 64 Bit. Since upgrading to Windows 10, it will not print. The paper feeds as if it's going to print, the power button begins to blink slowly as if it's spooling, then nothing. It eventually times out and I get a print error, sometimes it tells me that there is no driver. I have updated the driver through the HP website, I've wasted countless hours online with support controlling my computer. I've had 3 technicians from HP just disconnect and not say a word because they can't figure it out.
My BT is working fine, I've checked. The printer works as it should with a wired connection. I have bought another identical printer and the same thing happens, so I know my printer is not broken. One tech told me that the print spooler isn't running, and indeed sometimes it does stop suddenly. What does happen is that I hit print, the printer does its typical "nothing", the paper feeds and everything stops until I reboot. It will not even allow me to delete the print job until I reboot. As soon as the computer shuts down, the job will print. I've read that there is an issue with the print spooler for Windows 10. I cannot seem to find any updates with a fix. My only solution I can see possibly is somehow go back to Windows 8.1 until Windows 10 actually works.
