View 3 RepliesAsus a52f laptop w10/64 video picture is upside down. Device manager, okay no red/yellow marks, info Device USBVID_13D3&PID_5130&MI_007&3222d138&0&0000 - driver provided by MS version 10.0.10240.16384 (2006!). Looked on the Asus website only shows drivers for win7.
whether there is either a new win10 driver or an app to flip the image?
WEBCAM NOT WORKING. I have a Toshiba DX730 All-in-One desktop PC running Windows 10. Since I upgraded to Windows 10 my integrated webcam has not worked. I have unsuccessfully tried the following:-
1. Checked the BIOS to ensure the webcam is enabled - it is.
2. Uninstalled/installed the appropriate drivers from Toshiba Support numerous times, including after a clean boot.
3. Uninstalled the hardware from Device Manager numerous times. An interesting point here is that the webcam does not appear in Device Manager under Imaging Devices, but is shown under Other Devices as USB 2.0 Camera, next to which is the dreaded yellow exclamation mark. Right clicking this and selecting Properties always shows that no driver is installed. I've run Driver Update and pointed it to the appropriate folder, but Windows always fails to find the driver.
4. Uninstalled Skype, just in case it was causing a conflict.
5. Run the software in compatibility mode.
None of this has worked!! When I open the Camera app the following error message appears "Something went wrong. Make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another app". Skype cannot detect a webcam.
Was not working straight after upgrade, but I noticed it worked after doing a Vaio system check. Now it's gone again. Don't fancy doing a system test everytime I want it to work and automatic update driver does nothing.
Searches on microsoft site generally brings up issue with same error that are external plugged in devices. This is the internal cam in my Sony Vaio.
I have a Lenovo G550 Laptop that is many years old which has a built in WebCam that worked fine in windows 7. I did not check to see if it worked in the installation of Windows 10 or the update for Windows 10. So to my surprise when testing my camera with Skype, it gave me the blue screen of death. I tried opening it with the Camera application on the computer and again, it crashed.
Here is what I have found out so far:
1. My Lenovo laptop is not on the list supported that Lenovo has on their website for this problem
2. When looking on the D drive of my computer under drivers and camera and driverpackages, I find files that say: Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. This tells me that there isn't one for Windows 10 so I need to find a correct update for my computer.
So here is my question:
Am I wrong in assuming I need a Windows 10 Driver Package for the camera.
Uninstall the Easy Camera application that came with the computer, update the driver from Lenovo, and then your camera is good to use.
After installing Windows 10, my integrated Dell webcam video is not working. After exhausting every option possible, bottom line is that Dell is not supporting my laptop model in Windows 10. There is no Windows 10 webcam driver available other than the one that Windows 10 installs automatically. It does not open my Dell webcam video. Any way other than installing a USB webcam?
View 19 RepliesHave eventually got 10 on my Toshiba Satellite R830. The problem I have is my Webcam does not work. Thought it was a driver problem but one was installed checked with Toshiba support site but no drivers for 10 showing only the one on my laptop. Spoke to Toshiba who tell me that this is all down to microsoft as they understand as microsoft were doing all of this automatically they had undertake to update all the drivers in the new installation???
Trying to contact microsoft seems to be impossible as they want an activation code but when I said I do not have one for Win 10. Was then told they would transfer me tech support and the inevitable disconnection occured. This after some 20 minutes waiting on the phone.
I have an Asus laptop with a Nvidia 840M, and after it shut down during Limbo I realized my fan wasn't working. I could not hear it running, so I tried Speedfan. But Speedfan is unable to recognize any internal fans, and CPUID just says that the CPU fan is at 0RPM. There's nothing in the BIOS and I think my drivers are all up to date. I don't know if this is a Windows 10, driver, or hardware problem as i don't remember what my fan was like before.
View 9 RepliesI upgraded to Windows 10 on my gaming PC and suffered from network drivers not working along with my graphics driver. But now Windows 10 says it's not activated. "I had a legal version of Windows 7 on this computer and now Windows 10 isn't activated.
View 1 RepliesSo I tried to update from Windows 8 to 10 last week. That didn't work for me, so I had to format everything and install Windows 10 afterwards. At first neither W-LAN nor LAN would work. Then I un- & reinstalled the W-LAN driver so now everything's fine except for my ethernet connection.
- Adapter is enabled
- I have un- & reinstalled the driver multiple times (even tried compatability mode, since some sites state that the latest version for AR8161 only supports win 8)
- I was about a thousand times in the properties menu of the ethernet adapter
The full name of the adapter is "Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)"
I just ran diagnostics on the ethernet adapter and after trying to fix some network protocols Windows prompted me with this. So I tried to fix this by entering
Code:
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
Code:
sfc /scannow
Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Code:
sfc /scannow
In cmd which sadly didn't do the trick. Neither did entering
Code:
netsh int ip reset c:
esetlog.txt
in cmd (admin ofc) after editing the permissions for the "26" folder in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Nsi/{eb004a00-9b1a-11d4-9123-0050047759bc}
So the group "everyone" has "full control".
I am still stuck here w/ the "One or more network protocols are missing on this computer" -problem.
I seem to be having issues with my webcams. Every time I plug one into a USB port I receive a "USB Device Not Recognized" notice. I have uninstalled and installed the driver many times and restarted the computer. I have also tried an older LifeCam VX1000 with the same results.
View 1 RepliesFor the past few months, the right touchpad button does not work with the Windows 10 drivers. Windows 8.1 drivers worked fine. If I switch mouse settings to left handed, then the buttons work fine, but obviously this is awkward to get used to. I have rollbacked the driver to a very old edition and it worked fine, however then I had no synaptics touchpad settings so the touchpad settings could not be altered.
19.0.9.7 is the synaptics version
touchpad works fine on other user accounts
I installed Windows 10 for the first time a few hours ago. I like the new interface, etc, but I have a few problems:
Xbox One wired controller doesn't work. Windows 10 automatically install a driver for it, but it still doesn't work. I tried some solutions like this, but without success. I haven't that Microsoft Xbox One Controller entry he wrote about.
Xbox controller works fine with another PC. And these USB ports as well, works fine with other devices.
The Webcam on this laptop has been working fine for some time, but just recently it stopped working and I believe this occurred after one of the automatic upgrades. Following considerable investigation I find that I have 2 drivers under Imaging devices, they are as follows.
A Intel(R) Imaging Signal Processor 2400
B Intel(R) AVStream Camera
When it stopped working B was the driver showing under Imaging devices.
I also discovered that when I "updated" the driver and selected A the webcam worked and I thought problem solved but when I close down and then restart the webcam no longer works. The device listed in Device manager is still A. If I "update " still driver A the webcam works again.
Driver B is still present but only when I get to "Select the device driver to install". I do not select it.
How can I get out of this loop? Will deleting driver B work and if so how do I do this?
got a toshiba s50-b-15f hd laptop, i cant launch the hd webcam...it was working fine with windows 8.1 but since ive upgraded to windows 10 home i cannot find how to start the toshiba webcam HD ?...there is nothing on the toshiba website for my laptop...
View 9 RepliesI updated my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10, as an update not by formatting and reinstalling. I realized that the webcam is not recognized anymore, in the system info under problematic devices there is a:
Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1C2D
PCIVEN_8086&DEV_1C2D&SUBSYS_11471043&REV_053&11583659&0&D0
This device is working properly. In the device manager I can see the device above listed with an exclamation mark.
The Laptop is an Asus N53SV.
After installing asus AISuite 3 my mouse and keyboards stopped working, i can only use them in the BIOS.
I have restarted the PC many times and changed the usb ports but nothing worked.
Some weeks ago I upgraded my son's Zenbook. Initially it seemed to work fine. So I did a clean install. I can vaguely remember an odd miss start-up after the clean install. It seemed to work allright after that. Anyway my son skyped a couple of weeks ago to say it isn't working. Generally speaking, can I fresh install the original W7, it was home premium. I haven't a disk and wonder if there are any ISO's available at MS for download?
View 5 RepliesI just upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7, I have a ASUS G75vw.
Well i guess to sum it up as soon as I updated the software my audio and video playback doesn't work anymore. For example iTunes tells me "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration, Audio/Video playback might not function" how to fix it?
My HDMI Cable is not working on my Asus Notebook after I did the Windows 10 update. I have tried fixing the sound and resolution on control panel, i also made sure all updates and installation of apps are up to date, however, the TV doesn't seem to recognize the cable anymore, or the computer.
Tried changing the settings on the TV as suggested on one of these forums. I must be missing something.
The other day, I tried to do a factory reset on my laptop, but it failed, and I could only click cancel. Now, when I booted up my computer, it goes to the ASUS logo, then a black screen, still backlit, with an underscore flashing in the upper left corner of the screen. I can access the BIOS, and have been trying to do boot overrides. I don't have the ASUS Recovery partition installed on the laptop, and I don't have any possible ways to install an ISO. T
View 2 RepliesI have an ASUS laptop X751L.
Yesterday the USB ports and wifi stopped working within a couple hours of each other.
When plugging in a USB device the laptop makes an audible signal that it picks it up but nothing happens after that.
I have Windows 10 installed on it.
ASUS N61JQ, Win 7.
I just did a fresh install of win 7 home Premium, and installed the windows updates that came up automatically. I'd like to keep this system free of bloat and I do NOT have the driver update/laptop install disc.
I have formatted the SSD twice now because (I think) I installed drivers in an improper order; I keep having different issues with unrecognized hardware or sound not working etc. This time around I have gone only with Win 7 updates and now I would like to install only what is necessary to get this back to gaming.
So what is the order I should go on? Here is the list of drivers available from ASUS: [URL] .....
So is it chipset 1st... then restart... then GFX drivers+restart then... etc. Just getting this machine to work properly again
i have a killer e2400 network adaptor over a wired connection on my msi motherboard. Unfortunately, out of the blue it has stopped working. I constantly get the error message "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration." I have tried a number of things such as stopping and restarting the services in computer management. Nothing appears to work. I know my router works as I'm using it now on another computer.
View 2 RepliesSo i had this virus that was keep sending and redirecting to websites like - get money from this etc. So I wanted to uninstall but i uninstalled something VCI controller driver and now my keyboard, mouse are not working, I am on windows 7. I tried to put disk and try repair but it gave me an error...
View 1 RepliesSo, I was updating the graphics driver, and the computer rebooted itself, when it turned back on all I saw was my chosen accent color in the frame of my main monitor (I have 3). I then turned off the computer, removed the card, and plugged one of my displays into the MOBO. The PC booted just fine, and ran normally. I turned off the PC, and put back in the graphics card and booted back up, I got the same thing. I'd been meaning to do a system refresh, so I chose then to do that. I did the refresh, and now whenever I have the card in the PC, I get stuck at the HP Boot screen (not letting me enter the BIOS) and the PC beeps once, then not again. I turn off the PC, remove the card, and Windows runs perfectly.
