Mar 5, 2016I have Dell Studio 1558, when I upgraded windows from 7 to 10, bluetooth have stopped working. It disappeared from Device Manager and i cant install it back.

Dec 22, 2015I got onto my computer this morning and noticed that it had rebooted. Figured out it updated the latest patch. However, from that point on, I haven't been able to get anything from my computer. Wireless won't work, can connect to any bluetooth device, and none of my USB thumb drives will show up. I have tried logging back out, as well as rebooting. Nothing seems to be working. Since I can't connect to anything, I can't update any drivers (writing this on my mac... )
I tried uninstalling the patch, and it won't. Just spins. Tried to do a system restore, but it won't open up the dialog to allow me to choose. Tried to do diagnostics on the wireless driver and it just hangs. I have to shut it down.

The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded.
The only way currently around it is to unplug and replug the Bluetooth adapter.

Jan 11, 2016I just upgraded from Windows 7 home premium to windows 10. When the automatic backup that I had scheduled under windows 7 ran, I got an error. When I try to run backup manually, I get an error saying that I don't have enough space. My C drive is a 745 GB drive with only 128 used. My backup drive is one TB with 438 used and 656 free. I would think that would be enough space. It always worked under windows 7. What do I do?

Sep 26, 2015I'm having quite a bit of trouble removing the generic bluetooth drivers that Windows installs for you. Those have to be gone if I want to install Toshiba Bluetooth Stacks, which I need in order to use my Wii U Pro Controller in my computer. I've gone through a few methods to try this out and all have failed.
I started out by simply uninstalling the drivers on the device manager (or whatever it is called in English). Didn't work, as the drivers were back when I had to plug in my dongle to complete the installation for TBS. When I tried this in Windows 7, it worked flawlessly, yet in Windows 10 this method did not work.
Afterwards, I tried deactivating the forced driver signature, as well as make it so Windows Update doesn't automatically download any drivers it finds suitable. On top of this, I traveled into the INF folder of my Windows folder to do steps that Microsoft recommended: rename bth.inf to bth.inf.old and bth.pnf to bth.pnf.old. With all this, it should in theory work right? Nope, it didn't. Not even after a reset.
My last attempt involved unplugging my PC from the Internet as a first step, followed by everything else listed above and then a reset. The drivers were still back, bth.inf and bth.pnf somehow magically appearing in my Windows folder when I have no Internet access. I'm at a loss as to what I'm supposed to do.
Newly Upgraded Home Laptop Start Menu Not Working?
Nov 30, 2015I have recently (read: yesterday) installed windows 10 home on my formerly windows 8 laptop, and have run into 2 major issues: i cannot get the start menu to come up, and I cannot use cortana/the search bar. I click on them, nothing happens. I hit the windows key on my keyboard, nothing. I tried to search for updates, but I don't know how without the start menu! I am becoming frustrated very quickly, as I have had to use command prompt (I suppose it works, but it is nonetheless irritating) to shut down or restart any time I have had to.

Oct 5, 2015My Bluetooth connection to my PC under Windows 7 worked perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy phone. Since upgrading to Windows 10 I can pair the phone OK, have it show up as a paired Bluetooth device, but when sending files to the PC the connection is made, transfer looks to start then fails each time. The scale bar that appears on screen shows a 1/3rd distance happen, then stops. Message is "connection fails". I also have a PC running WIndows 8.1. Is there some "option" or blocking that is happening; something I need to switch on/off or disable.

Aug 27, 2015I have just upgraded to windows 10 the other day. I am running an Acer Aspire Notebook R3-471T, Intel HD 4400 Series, i5-4210U @ 1.7GHz 2.40GHz, 6GB Ram. So after i upgraded to win 10, i downloaded auto detect driver update from acer and intel. I updated all my drivers and then i downloaded some games. Apparently every 4-5 secs mouse freezes for a fraction then goes back to normal. I can't play anything because every 5 seconds my mouse (therefore the gameplay) freezes. I didn't have this problem on win 8.1.

Feb 23, 2016I upgraded my windows 7 computer to windows 10. I have an external hard drive that I am unable to open. When I connect it to the computer now, a reformatting window pops up asking to do this. Obviously, I don't want to delete the data on there as I used this drive as my backup. How can I go about opening this drive?
I checked on someone's else computer running windows 7 and my data is there, but my friend upgraded his computer to windows 10 and now I can't transfer data that way.
The hard drive is a WD Scorpio, model WD25000BEVS. Don't know if that is useful. I am wondering if part of the issue is that I have this harddrive is from a previous laptop that ran windows vista. That computer failed bcs it was a subpar HP product. I literally baked the motherboard several times for it to work. I finally gave up and got a new computer but kept the drive. I should have reformated it but I only deleted everything but the user folder.
I am wondering if part of the issue is ownership of the drive. I know that when I first used this drive I had it take ownership of the hard drive. I know this can be done in window 10, but I can't seem to ever open properties of the harddrive while its plugged in.

If I click on it there, it guides me to settings>devices, but there is no Bluetooth option there. I checked device manager and I do not have any Bluetooth devices and I have checked my Ethernet adapter settings and there is also no Bluetooth device there.

Dec 8, 2015I just purchased a recertified Asus Q302LA 2 in 1 convertible 13.3" Laptop which came with Windows 8 installed. When I upgraded to Windows 10, shortly after I got it, the Bluetooth would not function. It did function with the Windows 8.
On the "System Information" page I found at System Summary>Components>Storage>Problem Devices, this entry: Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE Device

This device cannot start.
I also found when double clicking on Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE in the Device Manager, and getting the "Properties" box; an entry for "Device Status" under the "General" tab that says: This device cannot start (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE
Also, under the "Events" tab in the "Properties" box there is an entry under "Information" that says:
Device BTHMS_BTHLE9&d0f185d&0&0 requires further installation.
I have checked for driver updates and there were none. There is no "Bluetooth" icon in the "Action Center" sidebar, instead there is a "Connect" icon, but I cannot connect my bluetooth headphones or a bluetooth keyboard. Just get the message "No Devices Found".
I have the only two services for "Bluetooth" on the Services page "running" with "Automatic" start. I did not find an entry for the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE.

Oct 7, 2015Since the move to Windows 10 (from 7) I haven't been able to connect to my Bluetooth speaker. This worked for me under Windows 7. There is no bluetooth entry in the device manager.
I have a Dell Studio 1555. Both the WiFi and the Ethernet connection to the Internet are OK.
The computer is a dual boot machine with Ubuntu. The bluetooth feature does work in Ubuntu.
