The hardware ID in device manager is Vendor 1002 and device id 7166 which pcidatabase says is "ATI RADEON X1300 / X1550 Series Secondary". Windows update didn't find anything nor did slimdrivers nor did ATI autdetect utility. I just formatted it from windows 7 which used to work fine.
View 4 RepliesI've got a notebook Pavilion DV6-3152SL with hardware AMD Phenom(tm) II N620 Dual-Core 64 bit, bios F29.
After upgrading from Windows 7 HP to Windows 10, I've got a big problem with the AMD graphic drivers, which are both now version 15.200.1062.1004. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series seems to work fine, while AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series stopped working of an error code 43 and I'm unable to fix it. I've already tried these chances, but no one of them has succeded to solve the problem of my AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series:
- Updating the driver from the AMD website both installing it manually and utilizing AMD Catalyst Istall Manager;
- Withdrawing the HD 5000 to let Windows Update installing a new one;
- Updating through the software HP Support Assistant.
... But I can't fix it: driver update for AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series is impossible. And, in any case the configuration goes lost at reboot and my notebook goes on saying "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly.
Windows 10 can't find my USB hub (F4U017). Device manager shows driver SXUPTP.SYS has a problem and has blocked it. I can't find an upgrade.

View 1 RepliesI recently installed Windows 10 on my Samsung Series 7 Chronos (NP700Z5A-A01DX). The HDD is a Hitachi HTS547575A9E384 which I originally thought was a hybrid HDD with 8gb ssd partition, but I'm not 100% sure.Anyway, with Windows 7 the computer came back from sleep in 1 or 2 seconds, now it's much slower. I've followed all the instruction online for reinstalling ExpressCache etc. but I get the error message "SSD not fund, please create a partition manually".Running DISKPART, List Disk I only have a one disk showing. (750gb, Drive 0)
View 6 RepliesI gave up on trying to do a clean install, so I just deleted every single program in control panel.
All of my drivers were either automatically updated or I was able to update them myself.
These three are listed as unknown. The drivers won't update.
I ran the Intel Driver Update Utility, and it said no drivers found.
I checked the Asus driver page, and the driver list barely had anything at all.
Pretty sure these are named something like thermal, collaborative, and something else.
My DVD drive does not work after I updated to Windows 10 (even though it does on the same computer in Linux Ubuntu) .
View 4 RepliesI hardly ever use it, so hadn't noticed until today that my DVD drive has disappeared from Device Manager (no DVD-CD ROMs appear there at all) and I cannot use CDs/DVDs in my PC. I strongly suspect Windows 10 as the culprit. I upgraded from W7 early August. However, I can't seem to find any way to download / install the necessary driver.
I have a custom built PC. What I'm missing is: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS40 ATA Device (CD-ROM drive). It appears that this is an LG product. I've checked their website and there only seem to be drivers for (up to) W7 here. If I download the zip file and open it, I get a DriveUpdater dialog box, but it says "can't find target drive" and I cannot therefore update. This link looked promising, but the downloaded DriverToolkitInstaller.exe application triggers my AVG, saying threat detected and removed, and I cannot proceed.
when I upgraded to windows ten I selected keep nothing when it asked me what files I wanted to keep thing it would delete all the junk I don't need on my pc, but after the upgrade my HDD was just as full as it was before. so I tried to manually delete stuff but now when I look through my cdrive I says all the file are empty except for the windows one. When I look to see how much room I left no my hard drive it says one out of two TB is full but I cant find what's taking up that 1 TB anywhere.

View 9 RepliesI recently bought a new PC with win 10 on board. I now find that I want to retrieve some data from my old PC which is unserviceable.
I purchased a 22 pin sata to usb cable. When plugged in I find the Device manager will not find this new drive. The led's on the cable light up but the drive is not running.
The old HDD is a 3.5" unit which ran on win 7. the old drive is a Samsung HD502HJ/b (part No.) and is in working condition.
I am wondering if it requires a driver of its own? Or something a more diverse problem like a usb 2.0 or 3.0 conflict, maybe.
I just upgraded from Windows 7 PRO to Windows 10. I notice that my external USB 3.0 drives can't be found. Before the upgrade it was ok. The only external device that does show is a Sandisk FIT USB 2.0 stick.

View 5 RepliesMy laptop does not want to recognise the sound card/audio driver that are built into it. The fun part is this just happened. Audio played yesterday, and the time before that, and even before the upgrade. The only thing that has changed (or at least is the biggest change i can think of) is downloading and installing Cygwin (sans audio packages). In trying to play a song on the new microsoft Groove, i get this;
Further inspection in the playback devices, the only two options are the Speakers/Headphones and communications Headphones, the former of which i can only assume is my actual computer speakers (otherwise its completely gone!).Looking at the device manager, everything seems okay. All the drivers are up to date so im not sure what could be wrong there?
Its Windows 10 pro (upgraded from Win7 Pro) and the computer is a Dell Precision M4600. (I am pretty sure the audio driver is in the device manager image).
Why can Microsoft understand I don't want to use these POS Realtek drivers. I use to disable driver updates from Windows 10 by going into Device Installation settings and Never install drivers from Windows update but now since the last stupid update everytime the POS Realtek drives install automatically no matter how many times I roll back and remove them. I hate the Realtek drives because the audio is super loud and sounds terrible. I just want to use the Microsoft HD Audio Driver which sounds great and uses little resources but no Windows 10 decides that the POS Realtek driver is better.
View 7 RepliesJust like the title says, I don't want the realtek audio drivers as it completely messes with my audio and also doesn't correctly switch when i plug in headphones for example.
It also doesn't allow for the 'speaker fill' enhancement to be used when playing stereo content through surround sound.
Windows itself does a far better job as opposed to realtek.
Every time i uninstall realtek it automatically gets reinstalled.
Upgraded old laptop (HP Pavilion dv2225) to WinX and everything works except for sound. Device Manger (Win key+ X) shows no missing drivers for sound. Used to play AoK under Win 7.
View 2 RepliesI have been installing and reinstalling windows 10 through bootcamp 6 on El Captain on my Macbook Pro.
But i keep getting the same result - the speakers and right click option are missing.
Where i can download drivers for Windows 10 on bootcamp 6 or what other way to resolve this issue.
I'm using build 10240, and in the first install, it installed the Realtek audio drivers.
The problem with these drivers is that they completely mess up the sound in my headphones.
Anyways, I've tried : Uninstalling the audio manager in control panelDeleting the oem#.infUninstalling the drivers in Device Manager
None of these work. When I uninstall it, the driver is just reinstalled when my computer reboots.
so before I wiped my entire PC the sound was working flawlessly - I would use the audio inputs for the Razer Blackwidow Chroma and it would work perfectly.Since the reset however, no sound has been discoverable, I get a red x on my speaker, and it says "No audio drivers installed" on "Playback Devices" I have tried putting my headphones in every audio jack on my PC (front, back and keyboard) and it still isn't picking my headphones up, I have installed the latest drivers and still no joy.
View 1 RepliesI have a driver that loads late in the boot process. On every boot, the Win 10 boot process is interrupted about half way through by the "Found new Hardware" notification sound. It then continues to boot normally with no errors.Is there a log file that states the drivers that are loaded, and the time they loaded? If not, is there a 3rd party software that can give me that information like the old Dr Watson?
I figure the hardware driver making the "new hardware" sound is probably the last one to load, and I can find which one it is by observing the time it loads.I have unplugged every USB and other peripheral device with no luck. I have no flags in Device Manager, even the hidden devices have no errors.
Unfortunatley I am unable to install any driver for my phone; the Oneplus One. This is the error I'm getting:
"one of the installers for this device cannot perform the installation at this time"
I get the same error for ADB and Fastboot drivers.
After upgrade from 7 to 10 my 2 brother printers were visible and apparently ready. The HL2270DW would not print - just spooled forever but the MFCJ825DW worked. I tried using the Brother uninstall tool to remove the laser driver then installed the W8.1 package for it. Would not install. So I wondered if the other printer was to blame and removed it as well and re-installed. I have done this many times now getting progressively more thorough including removing all mentions of Brother drivers using Devices and Printers interface, uninstalling in Device Manager installing in a different order and as administrator, removing folders left over etc. The result is always the same. I can get one of them installed but attempting to print gives the error Driver not installed - do you want to install? Click through, install via windows process but it fails anyway.

View 3 RepliesI just got this laptop (Dell Vostro 3558 i3), a few days ago i upgraded to windows 10 using the media creation tool. After the upgrade, the touch pad works but I cannot scroll. I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them. When I upgraded there was nothing listed that went along the lines of synaptics in the control panel (uninstall).
I have tried installing the drivers of windows 10 and windows 7 from the dell website, what happens is quite weird, the installer says it installs without any errors but nothing happens, there is no synaptics program listed in the control panel.
Excuse me if I left any important details out but it is the first time that i have come across this issue and don't know what info I should give. I should also note that before I upgraded the touch pad worked along with the program of the drivers, now all I get is the usual mouse options and in device manager it recognizes it as a P/S2 mouse.
I very briefly switched on the IGP whilst swapping from Nvidia to AMD last month and now Windows Update is constantly trying to update (and failing) the drivers even though no Intel drivers are currently installed, I used DDU to remove the Intel and Nvidia drivers.
How to stop it? Now whenever I open Windows update I get updates are available for Graphics Adaptor WDDM1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 for Intel HD Graphics 4600
I can't even search for new updates any more!
