I have a Toshiba X500-10T laptop with bluetooth not pairing with HP 460wbt printer.
Manage bluetooth devices finds printer but when I click to pair after some time the printer disappears with the following message.

Yesterday I downloaded Windows 10 on my wife's laptop and she immediately lost access to my Brother MFC-8500 printer which she was previously accessing though a wireless network and a router. The Brother is hardwired to the desktop, which was also upgraded to Windows 10, with a USB cord and is listed under printers on the desktop as "Brother MFC-8500 USB." Could you give me the procedure and the syntax for making this printer accessible once again to the laptop? If the syntax requires the desktop's IP address, could you tell me how to find it because the tutorials on the Web still talk about the Control Panel which seems to have been replaced with "Settings."

ever since I had a new hard drive installed on my Toshiba Satellite I cannot make a connection to my printer. I was on Epson Tech support for almost 3 hours, and they told me the printer is fine, and I am connected to it, but there is something blocking the print job from going to the printer.
I forgot to mention that when they installed the hard drive, they upgraded my wind. 7 to Wind. 10.

We have a new (albeit old) wireless printer (HP Color laserjet CP3525) with a wireless adapter card. Computers running Windows 7 or Windows 8 could see the network and connect. All computers could then print to the printer. None of our computers running Windows 8.1 could see the network. I upgraded one computer to Windows 10. It can now see the printer network but cannot connect.

I have two Windows 10 Pro x64 machines - say, A and B - connected into a home network. Both machines have two interactive user accounts registered on them: Admin (member of Administrators) and Bob (member of Users). On both machines user names are exactly the same and account passwords are exactly the same.I don't use HomeGroup file sharing, all sharing is set up using accounts and passwords. Everything works fine with folder sharing.
Now I would like to share a printer. The printer is connected to machine A. I enable sharing for that device and give it share name HP. I also go to the printer security settings and enable everything for Administrators and Users. Now I go to machine B. First, I log in as Admin. I go to Devices and Printers in Control Panel and perform the regular procedure of adding a network printer. At some point I have to enter the name of the printer, so I enter AHP. Without asking for any credentials Windows successfully connects to the remote printer, installs drivers, prints the test page etc. The remote printer appears in Devices and Printers. Everything works as it should.
Then I log out from Admin and log in as Bob on the very same machine B. The first thing that I notice is that for Bob the new printer does not exist in Devices and Printers. This is probably OK, since access to shared network resources depends on per-user credentials.
So, I attempt to "install" this printer for Bob as well. I repeat the same procedure from scratch. this time as Bob: go to Devices and Printers in Control Panel and perform the regular procedure of adding a network printer. Again, at some point I have to enter the name of the printer, so I enter AHP. However, Windows suddenly asks me for credentials to connect to the printer. If I enter Bob's user name and password, Windows refuses connect to the printer, claiming that Bob does not have permission to access it. End of story.
Note that I can work around this problem: I can enter Admin's user name and password when installing the printer for Bob and ask Windows to remember these credentials. Everything will work fine after that, which means that Bob will access that printer as Admin.I don't want to give Bob credentials of Admin to access the network printer. I want Bob to access that printer under Bob's credentials. It works perfectly fine for file sharing. How come it doesn't work for printer sharing?

Just realised that, since I upgraded from Win 7 64 Home Premium to Win 10, it has not detected the laptop's Bluetooth device. It doesn't even feature as a device in Device Manager ... not even one with a problem.

The issue is I have a network printer selected as the default in Windows 10. I have the option "Let Windows manage my default printer" turned off. At one point randomly, the default printer goes back to the Adobe PDF as the default.
Steps taken:
* I have checked the registry settings to ensure that the options "let Windows manage my default printer" is switched off. I can confirm this.
* Switched the default printer back to the network printer and performed a reboot. The network printer remains as the default. At some point of the day it goes back to Adobe PDF.

Both the Windows 10 laptop and the Windows Vista laptop have discovery on and file and printer sharing on. The printer is connected to the Windows Vista laptop. The Windows Vista laptop can see the files within the Windows 10 laptop. The Windows 10 laptop can see the Windows Vista computer but as soon as it tries to see inside it gives an error about "spelling of the name, etc." If using the diagnosis tool it says "One or more network protocols are missing from this computer". "Resolving problems as administrator" does not solve anything.

Ever since i updated my windows 7 to windows 10, i am unable to use any of mobile's Wifi-hotspot to use internet on my laptop which i used to do earlier hassle-free.
Now whenever i try to connect my laptop to a wifi-hotspot of any of my mobile phones the laptop seems to connect with it and also shows 'Internet Access' sometimes (or Limited Access most of the times) but when i try to open any of the websites it doesn't open.
How do i connect my laptop (Win10) to a portable WiFi-Hotspot?

My laptop is Acer Aspire 7741z-4806 ... I don't have Bluetooth option in my laptop.
Settings > Devices has no Bluetooth option listed.
I have searched the web and some postings said my particular model does not have Bluetooth included.
Yet, in my Services, there are 2 listings of Bluetooth.
Further question............. is there any Bluetooth program I can download to my laptop? I had run into one called NFC but it did nothing.

I have an Epsom RX560 (Printer/Scanner/Copier)
When Connected to Windows 10, it recognised the Printer straight away.
No need for the Install disk, it was up and running in just a couple of minutes and even without the install disk the results are picture perfect.
Is there somewhere in Windows 10 where it would recognise the Scanner instead of the Printer, or would I have to use the Install disk.

After upgrade from 7 to 10 my 2 brother printers were visible and apparently ready. The HL2270DW would not print - just spooled forever but the MFCJ825DW worked. I tried using the Brother uninstall tool to remove the laser driver then installed the W8.1 package for it. Would not install. So I wondered if the other printer was to blame and removed it as well and re-installed. I have done this many times now getting progressively more thorough including removing all mentions of Brother drivers using Devices and Printers interface, uninstalling in Device Manager installing in a different order and as administrator, removing folders left over etc. The result is always the same. I can get one of them installed but attempting to print gives the error Driver not installed - do you want to install? Click through, install via windows process but it fails anyway.

I have an Acer Aspire laptop that used to have Bluetooth on it. I just recently noticed that all evidence of Bluetooth has disappeared from the OS. The Bluetooth module that I am using is:
Bluetooth 4.0 + HS, the two drivers listed on the support portal for my model number are an Atheros Wifi/BT combo and a Broadcom. I can't tell since there since the OS doesn't see it.
First thing I tried is to download and install both drivers from the manufacture's site (Acer Support). Both installers did not detect the BT module being present and ended prematurely.

I'm having quite a bit of trouble removing the generic bluetooth drivers that Windows installs for you. Those have to be gone if I want to install Toshiba Bluetooth Stacks, which I need in order to use my Wii U Pro Controller in my computer. I've gone through a few methods to try this out and all have failed.
I started out by simply uninstalling the drivers on the device manager (or whatever it is called in English). Didn't work, as the drivers were back when I had to plug in my dongle to complete the installation for TBS. When I tried this in Windows 7, it worked flawlessly, yet in Windows 10 this method did not work.
Afterwards, I tried deactivating the forced driver signature, as well as make it so Windows Update doesn't automatically download any drivers it finds suitable. On top of this, I traveled into the INF folder of my Windows folder to do steps that Microsoft recommended: rename bth.inf to bth.inf.old and bth.pnf to bth.pnf.old. With all this, it should in theory work right? Nope, it didn't. Not even after a reset.
My last attempt involved unplugging my PC from the Internet as a first step, followed by everything else listed above and then a reset. The drivers were still back, bth.inf and bth.pnf somehow magically appearing in my Windows folder when I have no Internet access. I'm at a loss as to what I'm supposed to do.

So, I downloaded Windows 10 a week ago, and checked for updates, but no driver updates came up. But I know that my Video Card was out of date, as I kept getting an error and also, my Bluetooth is not working. Hence my point, is there any third party app that allows you to download and update drivers?

I am using a desktop PC that does not have any Bluetooth devices, but Bluetooth is shown as on in the notification center. If I click on it there, it guides me to settings>devices, but there is no Bluetooth option there. I checked device manager and I do not have any Bluetooth devices and I have checked my Ethernet adapter settings and there is also no Bluetooth device there.
I have a second PC which also does not have Bluetooth and it does not appear in that one's notification center.
how to make it go away on my main PC?

I just purchased a recertified Asus Q302LA 2 in 1 convertible 13.3" Laptop which came with Windows 8 installed. When I upgraded to Windows 10, shortly after I got it, the Bluetooth would not function. It did function with the Windows 8.
On the "System Information" page I found at System Summary>Components>Storage>Problem Devices, this entry: Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE Device
BTHMS_BTHLE9&d0f185d&0&0
This device cannot start.
I also found when double clicking on Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE in the Device Manager, and getting the "Properties" box; an entry for "Device Status" under the "General" tab that says: This device cannot start (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE
Also, under the "Events" tab in the "Properties" box there is an entry under "Information" that says:
Device BTHMS_BTHLE9&d0f185d&0&0 requires further installation.
I have checked for driver updates and there were none. There is no "Bluetooth" icon in the "Action Center" sidebar, instead there is a "Connect" icon, but I cannot connect my bluetooth headphones or a bluetooth keyboard. Just get the message "No Devices Found".
I have the only two services for "Bluetooth" on the Services page "running" with "Automatic" start. I did not find an entry for the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE.

Since the move to Windows 10 (from 7) I haven't been able to connect to my Bluetooth speaker. This worked for me under Windows 7. There is no bluetooth entry in the device manager.
I have a Dell Studio 1555. Both the WiFi and the Ethernet connection to the Internet are OK.
The computer is a dual boot machine with Ubuntu. The bluetooth feature does work in Ubuntu.
