Drivers/Hardware :: Disconnect And Connect Events?
Feb 23, 2016
I am being troubled by repeated occurrences of the Disconnect and Connected sounds. I am trying to identify what is causing these and thought there might be a clue in the event logs. Does these events are logged?
I seem to be having a weird thing where my computer makes the dis/connect sound randomly but especially when I am gaming. There doesn't seem to be a loss in connectivity of my keyboard or mouse as I can still move around in the game.
I'm running a wireless mouse and separate wireless keyboard (i.e there are two receivers connected to my pc)
Also something else that is weird and may be to do with it, my gpu (970) is showing up in the "safely disconnect" menu in the bottom right of my taskbar.
I have messages in some devices, manager in individual devices under events
display Device PCIVEN_8086&DEV_0416&SUBSYS_06501558&REV_063&11583659&0&10 requires further installation.

And there are more under more devices. They all appear to be working OK and have had no errors.
My Lenovo Yoga 3 14 running Windows 10 x64 is disconnecting from the wifi for some reason. It will randomly disconnect from my wireless internet. None of my other devices are having this issue and my roomate's computer is fine as well.
My question is in regards to shared folders. I run a desktop and laptop connected by ethernet, through a router. Both machines run Windows 10 Pro. Both machines have static IP addresses setup in the router. I do not use a software firewall and both computers are allowed onto the network.
I share folders on both machines in order to run client software on the laptop which connects to the flight simulator on the desktop. All of the shared folders have full control setup for everyone in both security settings and the shared folders tab.
There are HomeGroups set up on both machines with the correct information.
The problem (finally you say) is that occasionally, one computer cannot open the shared folders on the other over the network. This doesn't happen all the time, nor is the solution consistent. Sometimes closing and reopening the network folder fixes it. Sometimes just waiting does it. Other times, I have to reboot the computer(s). This creates issues with my client software trying to connect to the desktop. The error is: 0x80070035 Windows cannot find.....(to paraphrase).
I should point out that the other machine shows up in the network folder. I just can't access it when this happens. This happens mainly on the laptop attempting to connect to the desktop, although once in awhile the desktop cannot find the laptop.
I have checked and rechecked settings, deleted and rebult the HomeGroup, ensured password protected sharing is off, network discovery is on; amongst other things. I read about changing the shared computer name to its IP address. I also read somewhere about changing a number of registry entries that would force a change in Windows network behaviour.
I have Windows 10 installed on my SSD primary drive. I also have a 4 TB RAID 10 array that I want to remove to reutilise the disks in my new NAS. However...
If I remove the drives, windows won't boot. I've seen various errors, but basically it loads to logo, spins round and round and then halts, usually with "inaccessible boot device".
I had to reinstall from scratch Windows 10 Enterprise 32-bit on my Dell Venue 8 Pro 32 GB tablet. After the first installation, the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse (both work fine under Windows 8.1), disconnected after 10-12 seconds. However, probably after one of the automatic updates, they started working normally (it took about a day or so).
Now, after the 2nd Windows 10 installation, the problem with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse reappeared. I forced the Windows updates, but no luck.
It's curious because, if I keep the Settings window active, on the Bluetooth page, both the keyboard and the mouse work. If I minimize the Settings window, after about 30 seconds, both devices stop working. If I close the Settings window, or move to a different settings page, both devices stop working immediately.
I have changed the Bluetooth Support Service from Manual to Automatic, but it did not work. Running the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter did not work either.
So I have a Lenovo Z480 and just installed Windows 10 on it. I used to have Win7 earlier and i'm still using the same drivers. I tried Connecting my Samsung Galaxy S4 to it via Bluetooth and It woudnt even detect it. It detects other laptops around it though.
My phone also doesn't seem to detect the laptop but detects others.
I have recently bought a dell xps 8700 and it worked great for about 3 days then the wifi would disconnect and not recognize any connections even though every other device in our house works perfectly. I am 100% certain it is an issue with the computer itself and not the wifi network i had to return the computer for a new one twice already and the issue has happened with every single one. i have tried updating the network and chipset drivers witch resolves the issue for about 2-3 days. what would cause the exact same issue to re appear on 3 separate products is beyond me. i am also aware of the issue with old vpn software from windows 8 but the computer came with windows 10.
I upgraded my Lenovo W530 running Win7 Pro 64 bit to Windows 10. After the upgrade I can no longer connect to my bluetooth headphones which worked before the upgrade. The bluetooth radio is on. When I click Connect in the Action Center it shows that the headphones are connected but they are not. The headphones (actually my hearing aids) play a notification sound when a bluetooth connection is made and I never hear that sound. If I play music the sound goes to the speaker, not my headphones. I have removed the headphones and repaired them. I have checked that all of the bluetooth device drivers are up to date in Device Manager.
I want to connect my Google Nexus 7 Tablet to my PC Running Windows 10 Pro. Previously while running Windows 7 I used to connect without any fuss. Today when I tried to connect this device, I did not find my Device on My Computer.Debugging Mode is enabled in my Tablet.
1 I can see device connected on Safely Remove Device near the clock (notification area). I can safely remove it as well from there. But the device does not show on My Computer.
2 In Device Manager I can find the device as " Android Composite ADB Interface" I have uninstalled the driver various times but when the device is re-connected it connects as "Android Composite ADB Interface". I have re-booted the PC and tried but failed to show up in My Computer.
Under Android Composite ADB Interface Properties - General - it shows as --Type: Android Device, Manufacturer - EaseUs, Location: Port #0002 , Hub #0004
3 In Control Panel - Devices & Printers it shows under the category- Unspecified Device - "Nexus 7".
4 I did not get any clue in Device Manager. No yellow icon.
just updated to windows ten with my Sony Vaio 14 touchscreen laptop. 2 things ive noticed so far that have been bugging me is 1. I cannot adjust my brightness with the f5 & f6 keys like i could before... nor do i know how to changed the brightness now at all. Also if not able to connect to an external display (i.e. monitor or TV) used to do it automatically with 8 now nothing.
I use AutoHotKeys to remap my windows key, and use Logitech Setpoint to map the middle mouse button to close the currently focused program. This worked fine in Windows 7.
Now with Windows 10, it works "most" of the time. For all program like Firefox and File Explorer and whatnot its fine - when I click the middle mouse button the window closes, and when I click the windows key it does the remap I want. But for other focused programs, like notepad.exe, regedit and compmgmt.msc snapin these events don't work now. The middle mouse click won't close the window and the windows key just acts normal with the AutoHotKey mapping ignored.
Its like all Windows 10 program have been recompiled for the Windows 10 release obviously, but specifically these Win10 programs seem to be one step above the internal windows message queue maybe any ignoring these message or not seeing them?
I've been experiencing a problem with the Windows 10 Calendar app - it shows duplicate events. I'm using a Microsoft account (Outlook.com) and have in configured on the computer. Mail app Works ok and syncs. Calendar App shows duplicate events. If I access the same calendar on Outlook.com the calendar shows OK with no duplicates. On another computer with the same Setup the calendar does not show duplicates, Works as expected so this seems a problem confined to this one computer only.
This Windows 10 instalation is about a month old (installed from scratch - no upgrade from 8) ans has all published MS updates instaled and also all app updates. Have tried to uninstall the Calendar app, rebooted, reinstall the app, but duplicates persist.
I'm at halt with this feature in Win10. I add 2 events from Cortana, which I want to Recur daily, BUT now I want to make some adjustments to one and delete one completely,
I deleted from Cortana, but when I saw in Calendar, I saw those events, I felt ok ...lets delete events from Calendar itself as its a/w my outlook ID.
But I am completely confused with finding how to delete or make changes in the app, and to my surprise it didnt sync with my ''CALENDAR in web''.
Title says it all. After waking from sleep mode the computer disconnects from the internet and I have to reboot to get a connection. Makes the whole point of having a "sleep" mode useless. This is annoying because often I go away from m y computer for a few hours during the day and don't want to have to reboot to get back onto my computer. Rebooting wears out the components and is uneccessary when it should simply wake from sleep mode with no hassles. I have a wired connection via ethernet cable. My router is always switched on.
Since upgrading to Win 10 I noticed that whenever I eject any usb device that it takes a very long time before I get the ok to disconnect; sometimes a couple minutes!
I finished upgrading to Windows 10 today. I looked at various features for a while. Then I Looked at the Event Viewer--Administrative Events. The following errors were logged:
Event ID = 513, 24583, 8229, 1, 3041, 17207, 3041, 17204, 131, 69, 131, 1002, 5973, 69, 10016 plus others.
Most of the errors were logged multiple times. Most of these errors were present on Windows 7 Pro from which I upgraded so they are not unique to Windows 10. I was hoping they would go away with the upgrade.

Super annoying bug (or user error?) where whenever I create an event in Windows calendar, after hitting save it moves it one day forward.
So for example, if I create an event for 01/12/2015, it will isntead show up on the 31/11/2015. If I edit the event, it will show the 31/11/2015 instead. If I change it back to 01/12/2015 and hit save, it goes back to 31/11/2015.
It does this with any date, these dates are just an example.
My Windows 10 Calendar app won't show any events older that 3 or 4 weeks. It is synced with Outlook and a Gmail account. Those events do show on my phone and if I go to the individual websites.
Just installed Win10 yesterday, and taking a first look at the Calendar app. Unless I have overlooked something, this app has a flaw that makes it almost not worth using.
I'm using the app to display my Google Calendar events, a month at a time. In many cases, I have enough events scheduled for a single day that they won't all fit in the cell in Month View. Is there really no way to display all the events for a given date (including the ones that don't fit) in Month View? (For example, in the Calendar app on my phone, it is usually the case that not all the events for a given date show in the grid, but tapping the date in question displays a pop-up that shows them all). This app just runs them off the bottom of the cell. It doesn't even alert you to the fact that there are additional events for that date that it isn't displaying!
After upgrading from W8 to W10 and then doing clean install of W10 my Ethernet connection is randomly popping alerts and losing connection (event viewer reports this as event 1014), card also is randomly being reset.
troubleshooting just resets Ethernet card (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller) saying there was an issue with DNS.
I've never used Cisco VPN
Issue did not occurred on W8.1
Tried both drivers (Windows 10 update and Realtek for win8.1 using both compatibility and normal install)
