Oct 18, 2015I need to disable Flash Hardware Acceleration in edge. My videos are green screens. Where I can do this? The only option I seem to have is to switch Flash off in Edge?

Aug 16, 2015Since upgrading to Windows 10, whenever I try to watch a video on youtube or any other streaming sites, all I get is a green screen(sometimes black). I have tried in Edge, IE 11 and Firefox , all the same.
My graphics display adapter is AMD 6310HD,my laptop Toshiba C660D previously running Windows 7. Also I don't know if its related but Realplayer Download no longer works.
Checked on Device manager for driver update-result latest driver installed. I have checked Flash Player and Java(both up to date). Before the upgrade all worked perfectly, if there is no solution I may have to revert to Windows 7.

Sep 16, 2015Few days ago I realized my Google Chrome was having issue with Shockwave flash. I got a popup saying there was an issue and it would not respond. Then I tried firefox and got same issue. I tinkered around with flash, removed and re installed it however when I attempted to play a flash video online, it displayed only a picture and not play video.
So I attempted to play a WMV file on my computer and that too ended up freezing and slowed my system down where I had to exit out of media player. I ran Malware and Virus scans, and I dont seem to have any issues there unless I missed something. Also, I did hear something about Flash being replaced by html5 soon.

Jan 11, 2016I upgrade to Windows 10 a good month or so ago. All seemed fine. I woke my desktop up today to find this green screen w/continuous circles. I have unplugged everything and powered down and restarted. (This is the only suggestion I could find to fix it) The green screen came back up immediately. I have tried to get to where I could restart in safe mode but I can't navigate anywhere. I only have this green screen.

Oct 27, 2015It is really hard to write this as the title says green with green text, anyhow, I upgraded win 7 and my primary account on win 10 is fine, but this 2nd user account, IE11 comes up with a green background, the search bar is green lettering, in fact this area here where I am typing the message is green with green text. What is going on?
I have tried changing the colors from default, I have tried updating the graphics card and nothing seems to work. One lead I thought I had was that this 2nd account was encrypted, but in the settings it doesn't seem to be.

Jul 30, 2015After installing windows 10 all Internet based media is not working. BBC iplayer, Netflix both via app and browsers, YouTube takes notions, any live streaming is a pixilated green screen but again with just sound. As this is the main use of my Toshiba laptop the thing is darn useless now.
Reinstalled windows 10, updated and rolled back various drivers, Done the usual chance video to software acceleration instead of via GPU. Nothings worked and not seeing similar threads so am I alone and if so how do I go about getting a working laptop again as I no longer have option to go back to 8.1.

Feb 10, 2016I have a USB flash drive which for some reason is formatted with an active partition.
I usually use Minitool Partition Wizard to set a partition as inactive but for some reason it doesn't work on this flash drive. I also tried booting from the Partition Wizard boot disk but that won't set the partition inactive either. I even deleted the partition and reformatted the flash drive but it popped up as active again!
How can I force the partition to be set inactive? Note it's quite an old USB flash drive so I'm wondering if there something in the hardware which stops it being set inactive?

Oct 19, 2015I have recently bought a 32gb micro sd card from eBay and was wondering if there is some kind of check I can do to make sure it has correct memory on it, I have heard that some of the sd, hard drives and flash cards from eBay are being faked and what looks like a 500gb hard drive people find out later that its just a 1gb flash drive inside with some kind of modded files in it that makes it look like a 500gb drive, upon transferring files they just delete anything past 1gb.

Dec 6, 2015I recently purchased a Windows 10 tablet, everything else works fine except one annoying issue. I have a 64 GB USB 2.0 flash drive, which works well on my desktop PC (Windows 7). I also have another 16 GB USB stick (USB 2.0). Both USB sticks work fine on my desktop PC. However, when I test the full size USB port on my tablet, only the 16 GB USB stick worked. For the 64 GB USB stick, as soon as I plug it in, the USB light starts to blink forever.
While the USB light blinks, I keep hearing the windows sound for detecting new USB device, but see no notification messages. When I open DISK management or File explorer, I see no trace of this USB stick at all. I also checked "device manager", under USB controllers, I do NOT see any USB Mass storage there, and there are no unknown device in the device manager either. I tried re-scan devices, restart computer, clean USB registry ... None of them works. Then I choose to show "hidden devices" in device manager, and now see a new "USB Mass Storage Device" appear under USB controllers, however the status is "not connected", even though the USB stick is plugged in and the light is blinking.
As I said, I tested the USB stick with my other computer and worked fine. I also tested the tablet's USB port by plugging in other USB devices, such as a 16 GB USB stick, a MicroSD USB reader with a 32GB MicroSD inserted, a USB mouse, etc. and they all worked fine. Now I am really puzzled. It does not look like my USB stick is dead or the USB port on the tablet has any problem.
Drivers/Hardware :: Possible To Create Multiple Partitions On USB Flash Drive?
Oct 19, 2015I recently used a 16GB USB flash drive to create an installer for a new Linux distro. I noticed that the created partition is 8GB and the rest 8GB is unused. I want to create a second NTFS partition so I can use the USB as a recording medium for my PVR, but Disk Management doesn't give me this option. I then used MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition, which did create the partition but warned that it won't be recognized by Windows as it normally sees only the first partition on a USB Flash drive. I even went back to Disk Management and assigned a drive letter to the second partition, but in Explorer I see only the EFI partition (first, drive is formatted in GPT mode) with that drive letter. Is there any workaround? Of course I could just format the whole drive as NTFS, but I wouldn't like to do so until I don't need the installer anymore.

Oct 19, 2015There may be something simple I'm overlooking here, but recently I've noticed that audio on my computer (music, videos, games) every so often plays a glitchy sound, and the video and music lag for the same time period. It's an occurrence that happens fairly frequently but not predictably (i.e. there is no pattern to it at all). It's as if the audio "stutters".
It's not the fact that I'm running a lot of power-hungry programs (happens when, for example, five programs are running or only one); it makes no difference where the programs are stored (i.e. SSD or HDD) and, for that matter, I don't believe it's hardware-related at all as this does not happen on my parallel Xubuntu install; it's not due to lack of disk space nor running background processes.
It's not hugely detrimental to my work but it is becoming a mild-to-moderate annoyance whenever I do anything multimedia-related.
Note: It may also be related (but is a different set of symptoms) that when playing MS Solitaire Collection for long periods of time, the game will begin to freeze altogether for short periods of time, this time periodically and predictably and longer than any other game. "Long periods of time" is anything over about ten-fifteen minutes, and the freezing gets worse the longer I play.

After exhausting every option possible, bottom line is that Dell is not supporting my laptop model in Windows 10. There is no Windows 10 webcam driver available other than the one that Windows 10 installs automatically. It does not open my Dell webcam video. Any way other than installing a USB webcam?

Jul 19, 2015via HDMI and my HD TV works just fine except things like Netflix in either IE, Edge or the Netflix app. Audio streams but the windows is black whilst everything else works fine. Windows 8 does not give me this problem. As soon as I move the window or Netflix app to the main screen the video is shown in the window or app.
In case I forgot to forgot fill in my system specs: Laptop MSI GT70. I thought I read somewhere that having an integrated GPU such as this laptop has part of the problem. My other laptop: ASUS doesn't have an integrated GPU and works with Netflix streaming on my HD TV.

Aug 10, 2015In Windows 8.1, if I split my display in half - I could have multiple apps like Internet Explorer and Visual Basic open. Then if I was watching a video on YouTube in full screen mode, the video would still only be displayed in the half of the screen so I could still multitask and do something else in the other half. However if I try to do this in Windows 10, the YouTube video in full screen mode does actually put the video in full screen and takes up the whole display. Is it possible to just get it to display in half of the screen like in Windows 8.1 or is this not yet possible? Was a really handy feature!!

Oct 5, 2015I am getting a blue screen of death every time I am trying to play a game. It happens in less than 1 minute. Blue screen, video_tdr_failure and freeze.
I have tried everything, and this is apparently a wide spread issue.
How can this be fixed? My Computer is basically useless for gaming now that I upgraded to windows 10. (I have a gaming laptop from 2014, with fine specs, it is not overheating or anything) .....
