Drivers/Hardware :: Cannot Turn Off Bluetooth

Feb 10, 2016

I am using a desktop PC that does not have any Bluetooth devices, but Bluetooth is shown as on in the notification center. If I click on it there, it guides me to settings>devices, but there is no Bluetooth option there. I checked device manager and I do not have any Bluetooth devices and I have checked my Ethernet adapter settings and there is also no Bluetooth device there.

I have a second PC which also does not have Bluetooth and it does not appear in that one's notification center.

how to make it go away on my main PC?

Apps :: Software To Turn Mac Into Bluetooth Adapter

Feb 23, 2016

I have a mac 2013(early) running win10 (obviously). I have my TV with a auxiliary port. I want to know if it is possible to use some software to turn my laptop into an adapter between my Bluetooth headphones and the TV. I have heard that if the volume is too loud from the TV going into a auxiliary port, it could fry something. I feel like this is something that could be doable, and software exists. But I cannot find any, and I really want to use my Bluetooth headphones so no one can hear my TV when playing games and such.

Drivers/Hardware :: Can't Remove Microsoft Bluetooth Drivers?

Sep 26, 2015

I'm having quite a bit of trouble removing the generic bluetooth drivers that Windows installs for you. Those have to be gone if I want to install Toshiba Bluetooth Stacks, which I need in order to use my Wii U Pro Controller in my computer. I've gone through a few methods to try this out and all have failed.

I started out by simply uninstalling the drivers on the device manager (or whatever it is called in English). Didn't work, as the drivers were back when I had to plug in my dongle to complete the installation for TBS. When I tried this in Windows 7, it worked flawlessly, yet in Windows 10 this method did not work.

Afterwards, I tried deactivating the forced driver signature, as well as make it so Windows Update doesn't automatically download any drivers it finds suitable. On top of this, I traveled into the INF folder of my Windows folder to do steps that Microsoft recommended: rename bth.inf to bth.inf.old and bth.pnf to bth.pnf.old. With all this, it should in theory work right? Nope, it didn't. Not even after a reset.

My last attempt involved unplugging my PC from the Internet as a first step, followed by everything else listed above and then a reset. The drivers were still back, bth.inf and bth.pnf somehow magically appearing in my Windows folder when I have no Internet access. I'm at a loss as to what I'm supposed to do.

Drivers/Hardware :: Bluetooth Is Not Working - No Drivers Updates

Aug 19, 2015

So, I downloaded Windows 10 a week ago, and checked for updates, but no driver updates came up. But I know that my Video Card was out of date, as I kept getting an error and also, my Bluetooth is not working. Hence my point, is there any third party app that allows you to download and update drivers?

Drivers/Hardware :: Bluetooth Not Available After Upgrading?

Dec 8, 2015

I just purchased a recertified Asus Q302LA 2 in 1 convertible 13.3" Laptop which came with Windows 8 installed. When I upgraded to Windows 10, shortly after I got it, the Bluetooth would not function. It did function with the Windows 8.

On the "System Information" page I found at System Summary>Components>Storage>Problem Devices, this entry: Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE Device
BTHMS_BTHLE9&d0f185d&0&0
This device cannot start.

I also found when double clicking on Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE in the Device Manager, and getting the "Properties" box; an entry for "Device Status" under the "General" tab that says: This device cannot start (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

Also, under the "Events" tab in the "Properties" box there is an entry under "Information" that says:
Device BTHMS_BTHLE9&d0f185d&0&0 requires further installation.

I have checked for driver updates and there were none. There is no "Bluetooth" icon in the "Action Center" sidebar, instead there is a "Connect" icon, but I cannot connect my bluetooth headphones or a bluetooth keyboard. Just get the message "No Devices Found".

I have the only two services for "Bluetooth" on the Services page "running" with "Automatic" start. I did not find an entry for the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE.

Drivers/Hardware :: No Bluetooth Driver

Since the move to Windows 10 (from 7) I haven't been able to connect to my Bluetooth speaker. This worked for me under Windows 7. There is no bluetooth entry in the device manager.

I have a Dell Studio 1555. Both the WiFi and the Ethernet connection to the Internet are OK.

The computer is a dual boot machine with Ubuntu. The bluetooth feature does work in Ubuntu.

Drivers/Hardware :: Bluetooth Does Not Recognize / Pair

Oct 6, 2015

System Information: Asus Notebook UX303L, Windows 10, Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition. I just upgraded to Windows 10 (from windows 8.1) on a 2 month old laptop. On previous version there were NO problems with bluetooth. The problems started immediately after upgrade.

When the upgrade finished Windows 10 remembered all of my previous Bluetooth pairs. My bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition) worked before the installation but after my system reboot the cursor no longer showed movement. The batteries are new. The mouse is acting exactly like it does when it is properly connected (lights flash, makes scrolling sounds, etc). When I checked the Bluetooth device screen it still showed as paired. I rebooted. No change. So I unpaired the device. When I unpaired the device it flashed for a second as a possible device to pair with and then was no longer on the list. Other possible devices to pair with appear and disappear from the list without cause. (Ex. sees a scanner for a few seconds then no longer has a scanner. Sometimes its up for a few minutes at most but the list is constantly flickering.) So I rebooted. Then it did not see the mouse at all. I did this for several days. Sometimes when I would turn on my laptop it would flicker, sometimes it would not.

After about 3 days with no explanation it suddenly showed up and did not flicker. I connected the mouse and it worked for about 2 days. On the 3rd day I tried again, and the cursor would no longer respond even though the mouse was acting exactly the same. I rebooted. No change. I unpaired the device and it never showed up on the list. It's flickered a few times but when I click on it to pair it pops up with an error basically saying "cannot pair. Please check and see if the device is still set to connect to bluetooth." That is only on the rare occasion that it actually shows up on the list long enough to hit pair (maybe 2 times out of 50 attempts or more.)

It is a Microsoft mouse by all means it should work on Microsoft drivers.

Drivers/Hardware :: Bluetooth Audio Lag And Choppy

Nov 28, 2015

I just recently purchase a newish laptop recently off eBay. Its a HP ProBook 6470b, it didn't came with a hard drive so I pulled the SSD out of my old Dell 1545 which has windows 10 preinstalled. Long story short when I listen to music over Bluetooth to my stereo, the sound become very choppy and distorted. Specially if I do some typing, extreme processing or moving the trackpad it becomes really bad. If I don't type, move my mouse or have it idle on the music player its fine (most of the time).

I should mention at this present moment I don't have a hard disk caddy since I didn't come with one and I'm waiting it to arrive from Malaysia (so I'm just curious if that could be a culprit). I have tried different Bluetooth speakers and the same problem persists. I have tried my macbook, android tablet, surface and phone with the same reciever and it play musics without any problem whatsoever. I have tried updating, uninstalling and installing drivers and hasn't made that many difference (although disabling the Microsoft UE LE Eliminator useful somewhat). The driver is a broadcomm 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 adapter.

I have disable any enhancement in the sound settings and gone to devices and printer and disable any unnecessary services that is used by my bluetooth receiver but the problem is still present.

Drivers/Hardware :: Wireless Or Usb And Bluetooth Not Working

Dec 22, 2015

I got onto my computer this morning and noticed that it had rebooted. Figured out it updated the latest patch. However, from that point on, I haven't been able to get anything from my computer. Wireless won't work, can connect to any bluetooth device, and none of my USB thumb drives will show up. I have tried logging back out, as well as rebooting. Nothing seems to be working. Since I can't connect to anything, I can't update any drivers (writing this on my mac... )

I tried uninstalling the patch, and it won't. Just spins. Tried to do a system restore, but it won't open up the dialog to allow me to choose. Tried to do diagnostics on the wireless driver and it just hangs. I have to shut it down.

Drivers/Hardware :: Lost Bluetooth On / Off Toggle Switch

Feb 10, 2016

Lost my On/Off Toggle for Bluetooth. Last year whilst I was on 8.1 before my upgrade to Windows 10, I noticed that the On/Off Toggle had disappeared - see screenshot (taken when it was on 8.1).

Now I am on Windows 10 the toggle still has not reappeared.

I definitely had the On/Off option, but I think it disappeared after a routine Windows 8.1 update last year, but I cannot be sure.

Some people suggested that I should delete all the Bluetooth software on my computer, then reboot and the software will be reinstalled correctly. I have not done this because of the fear that once deleted the software to gone forever. I dont have copies of this software and it seems logical that if I delete it, then its gone.

I am using Dell Wireless 1705 Bluetooth, Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator - see Device Manager Screenshot. To turn off I now have to go into Device Manager and disable it.

My Driver is Qualcomm Atheros Communications, ver 10.0.1.1 dated 28-07-2015

I can Disable/Enable the driver, but still no toggle otherwise the Bluetooth works fine.

Drivers/Hardware :: Cannot Connect To Bluetooth Headphones After Upgrade

Nov 15, 2015

I upgraded my Lenovo W530 running Win7 Pro 64 bit to Windows 10. After the upgrade I can no longer connect to my bluetooth headphones which worked before the upgrade. The bluetooth radio is on. When I click Connect in the Action Center it shows that the headphones are connected but they are not. The headphones (actually my hearing aids) play a notification sound when a bluetooth connection is made and I never hear that sound. If I play music the sound goes to the speaker, not my headphones. I have removed the headphones and repaired them. I have checked that all of the bluetooth device drivers are up to date in Device Manager.

Drivers/Hardware :: Unable To Specify COM Port In Bluetooth Settings

Jan 25, 2016

Ok so I have a wireless Bluetooth device. It has worked fine connected to a windows 7 and 8 computer. Now I am trying it on 10. For the software I wrote for it to work properly I need to be able to specify which COM port it uses when connecting.

In windows 7 and 8 I would then go to "Bluetooth settings", click "New Connection", and then follow the setup wizard. Here I would be able to set the device to be in Dev mode and specify the COM port to always use. In the new windows 10 "Bluetooth settings" program I can not find a way to do this.

Also I have two different "Bluetooth settings" programs show up in the start menu. One I can open up and it will show my device, but I am unable to do what I mentioned above. The other program with this name has the same icon as what is on my Windows 7 and 8 machines, but gives me the error "unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)"

Drivers/Hardware :: Bluetooth Mouse Does Not Work On Desktop

Feb 10, 2016

Recently, I acquired a Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse (3600). It works perfectly well, both on my Android tablet and on my old but efficient Netbook (still running valiantly under XP SP3). Never a problem in pairing the mouse on these two machines (and no problem either with the Logitech Bluetooth portable keyboard (K480), which is a real marvel in its own right). On the Android Lollipop tablet, Bluetooth is built in, while the built-in Bluetooth feature on the Netbook gave up some time ago, but was replaced by a dongle, which does its job without a hiccup.

So far, so good.On my desktop, running on Windows 10, which has no built-in Bluetooth capability (but the Bluetooth "service" coming with Windows), I use the same dongle as on the Netbook. With the Logitech keyboard mentioned above, no problem whatsoever: Bluetooth "sees" it immediately and pairs it in seconds - so there is certainly nothing wrong either with the dongle or with pairing a device, or the Bluetooth drivers and softwares, which came with the dongle, or with the Windows Bluetooth properties, which are correctly started and functioning.)

It's the Microsoft Mouse that presents an apparently intractable problem on that same desktop.

When activating the Mouse so that it can be detected when one wants to add a device, it is "seen" almost immediately. It is when wanting to pair the device to the machine that the problem arises. The pairing as such takes a far longer time than it normally does and when that operation concludes, I get error messages saying either that the mouse did not send the correct pairing code OR that it did not send a pairing reaction at all.

So, this is quite mysterious. Having a device that functions perfectly well with other machines, and not at all on my powerful desktop (while it can be detected, and while other devices function normally).I guess that the problem resides with that "code". However, Windows does not ask for it and Microsoft says that the mouse does not need one - which makes things even more strange, since it mentions a code when the pairing misfires. They are in Dutch (language of my Win OS) but the images speak for themselves. The error message on the 3rd screenshot says: "Communication with Bluetooth device has failed / No pairing reaction received". Sometimes (after bootup) the error message says failure but "Bluetooth device sends wrong code".
