Aug 15, 2015Why the folder where the photos are is what opens up when I plug in a usb camera and not the photo app. I have autoplay enabled and photo as my default photo viewer.

View 2 RepliesI am using a Dell latitude E6400 that was on 7 and now on 10 and since uploading 10 I can not upload photos from me card reader or my camera a Cannon 400D to my pictures.
I use Flickr as a image hosting site and on there when I want to get the image code to post a photo on to a forum I can no longer get the code as when I select the photo and click the share tag as the dropdown comes up the image code bar slides off to the left not letting you click it to use it , will this be a windows problem or a Flickr problem ??
I am a bit of a Old luddite (69) and find this all very confusing and disappointing for what is supposed to be the most tested system they have ever launched ?
I have the iPhone 6s plus. I am using windows 10 pro. I am having an access denied error when trying to erase the photos-videos after import. I can't find the answer anywhere.
To get the import started you have to plug in the phone via USB. Then in file explorer you right click the icon and select the importing option. Setup the options etc. and select import. Everything works great up until it starts to erase the files off the device and then I get that error displayed in the image below.
[Desktop Dell Inspiron 560 4gb RAM; high speed cable; MS Windows10 64bit; Windows Live Mail 2012(awful!!!); MS Word Pro 2003; Mozilla Firefox; Avast AV; Windows Media Player; Adobe Reader; Adobe flash Player]
I put the memory card from my Nikon dig. camera into my card reader, I plugged the card reader into my computer USB, and the photos appear on the screen. But, there's no clickable link at all for me to import and/or save them. I need to send them to someone and find no way to do it....
Across the top of the photos it only says this and not as links:
Upper right: Photos
A little below: Select items to import from E:/
A little lower: New Items (Clicking on this it makes my pix on the screen disappear, and clicking again brings them back!)
And below that: November 2015 (date I did this). And on same line: Clear (Clears the check-marks on each photo).
I updated to the latest drivers for Intel AVStream Camera on my tablet / laptop. After the update, only the front camera works now.
View 1 RepliesI swear I had a import photos and videos option for devices on Windows 10 but now it seems I don't. This is what I get for options.I don't even have the options in my autoplay settings and default settings.
View 9 RepliesBefore installing Windows 10, when I plugged in my camera to my PC, I got a dialog box from which I downloaded my pics. Now, nothing appears on the task bar, nor do I get a dialog box. Am at loss what to do next.
View 3 RepliesIt doesn't matter whether I insert the chip or use the cables "just absolutely nothing happens and ther is now explanation given.
View 1 RepliesSince installing windows 10 I haven't been able to retrieve the photos.
View 2 RepliesSince upgrading to Windows 10 I have been unable to download photos from my mobile (not a smartphone just a Nokia with keypad) and my Sony camera. I always use one of the USB slots on my PC or a dongle on my desk which is attached to the PC and I keep getting a message saying it doesn't recognise the source. I am completely at a loss as to what to do next.
View 4 RepliesI have so far been unable to view the photos currently stored on my camera in windows 10. This was extremely easy with XP
View 6 RepliesI just noticed something odd tonight when browsing through my photos in Windows 10 10240. Almost all the pictures from my camera roll are blurry / low res when viewing in the new photos app. I compared them side by side on my other PC right next to it running 8.1 pro and it is night and day. The same pictures appear crisp and clean in the traditional windows photo viewer. I know that i have two different monitors with different resolutions but i never noticed a problem before when i had 8.1 on the pc that now has windows 10.
I think this is a real problem with the app in windows 10 because a) when i zoom into those photos that are blurry they become clear when zoomed in enough and b) it is very noticeable, something that i never picked up before when i was on 8.1. Now when i view wallpapers or downloaded images from the internet they seem to be clear so it doesnt really make much sense why it is just my camera roll pictures from my Lumia 929.
The Camera worked fine on my tablet which was earlier on Windows 8.1. But, after updating to Windows 10 Home, it gives me an error - Make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another app. I tried the following :-
1. Updated the app.
2. Turned Windows Firewall off.
3. Tried disabling and enabling the Camera - OV2680.
My computer with Windows 10 no longer recognizes my Hero 3+ GoPro Camera, nor my Nikon D5100. I have looked for drivers, but to no avail. Any way that I can pull pictures/video off these devices and put on computer?
View 13 RepliesOne of the Best features that I miss about XP was being able to download 'Selected Photos' from my Digital Camera.
Now its All or Nothing, which means I have to go to my Photos and then delete the ones that I don't want.
The camera on my Toshiba S50-B laptop worked fine when on the original Windows 8.1 but doesn't work now that I have upgraded to Windows 10. It says "Something went wrong - make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another application". I have tried everything I know of and find no reason. Is there another driver required or ...? I cannot even find the camera.
View 2 Replieshow to make my Nikon D50 camera work on Windows 10? It worked fine on XP and 7, but not at all since upgrading to 10. The windows 10 help page has a link to Nikon, but the D50 driver is not available from there.
View 1 RepliesI just 'upgraded' to Windows 10 yesterday from 7. Windows 7 has a generic photo upload program that activated when I hooked the camera up. Windows 10 does not recognize my camera in G drive.
Is there a generic program available to upload photos? Samsung support says they do not support Windows 10.
[Desktop Dell Inspiron 560 4gb RAM; high speed cable; MS Windows10

After a long struggle to import my pix from the camera to Win10 and finally succeeding, I've now another mystery
1. How to put the imported 10 or so photos into a folder? I did it with another bunch of imported photos and now I can't remember how I did it though I tried and tried..
2. How can I pick out the ones I want to send (and how to send them by email?) as I prefer not to delete the ones I won't send, to avoid later regrets. I don't even know how to delete any individual photos....
MS keeps everything a secret - no links to choose photos, or delete them, or send them, or change the order in which they are arranged, etc. I had come to learn photos in Win7 with "Photo Gallery" after a long time - now I'm condemned to the same torture on the new windows!
Even if I mark an album, say, 'my documents' as a "documents" type folder in my onedrive online settings, these photos will still be included in my 'photos' tab stream. that and, any photo ever that's on my PC will show up- not just photos in my "my photos" folder on my PC. it's really annoying, i'm getting gamesave pictures, wallpapers, screenshots, and all kinds of random crap that aren't supposed to be part of my camera roll stream all over my one drive... why is it doing this?
View 1 RepliesWhen viewing photos stored on OneDrive in the Photos app for Windows 10, is it possible to save it to your PC? I can't seem to see an option to do so...
View 1 RepliesSo I upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to Windows 10 last night and so far quite impressed. However it looks like an issue has carried over from Windows 8.1 to 10.
I'm finding that the Photos app cannot see the photos stored on my SD card. I have directed the library to point to the SD card and it is the only location defined in the Library for Photos. This was a problem in 8.1 but as I never used the app I stopped worrying about trying to sort it. However I can see myself using the app in 10, so would like to figure out what is happening.
It's not a case of the app not showing duplicates because I temporarily disabled the option for it to show OneDrive photos and now nothing shows.
I bought a new PC with W10. How to import email from Windows Live Mail in W10 Mail?

View 1 RepliesStart, right click, Control Panel, Hardware and Devices: my camera (Nikon D7000) comes up. Import pictures fails. The error message says: 'no pictures or videos were found on this device'. Did the same thing on my Windows 7 machine (good thing its not yet upgraded). It correctly found 58 pictures and imported them.
