View 9 RepliesI just bought this sound card and installed drivers for Windows 10. (and a crapton of bloatware with UI of Win XP media player...)
Everything works well except one thing: when I change the sound (or mute) I don't see Windows 10 volume bar. I mean these:
The sound itself changes, but there is no indicator. Is there a way to fix that?
PC sound, when I play music from for example spotify the sound drops when the bass hits and after the bass the audio turns up again. Its very annoying especially when I play games. I have tried with different equalizer programs but it doesn't work.
View 1 RepliesI can't get surround sound to work on my Windows 10! I have a HDMI Cable going from my gpu (R9 270x) to a projector, and from that an optical audio cable is being sent to my BluRay player with the speakers connected to it... I get sound from the front left and right speakers but thats it, when I go into the playback devices and configure it 5.1 surround sound is not an option.
View 1 RepliesYesterday updated to 10586 my L930 and, as before, the Windows Camera App doesnt record audio on video shooting. I know my phone is affected by the L930 speakerphone mic problem, but until previous version of Windows Camera, audio was recorded at least in the other channels. No surround settings to manage in 10581/6. But after the last two updates, WinCamera is not recording audio. Cortana Works ok. And I cant install Lumia Camera, because it is just showing a "move to Windows Camera" message. The thing is, I already reported this through Insider Comments, but, I need to film video with audio urgently.
View 1 RepliesWhen I play music through my laptop speakers, it plays well with bass but when connect and earphone or headphone to my audio jack, the music quality decreases and the bass of my headphone has extremely low bass. I don't know if it has to do with me updating to windows 10. I'm not sure. I have REALTEK HD AUDIO DRIVE.
View 2 RepliesI did a clean install to Windows 10, because upgrading it break the WiFi connectivity.
Now I got another issue, I noticed that the Audio Driver downloaded from Windows Update is somehow didn't sound good, if I enabled Dolby the bass is drastically reduced like no bass at all. I tried with headset and a small sound system, they both sound like a laptop speaker. The old driver couldn't be installed, the installer always failed.
I tried to use the same driver for windows 10 from another lenovo product with no different. It is not a big deal because I'm using a USB Headset. What matter is when I use a sound system to play music/movie the sound really bad. The solution for now is to disable Dolby but the sound is really low. I would like to know is there is a way to install the old driver to Windows 10 at least?
My sound card is Conexant SmartAudio other spec can be found in Sytem Spec and the installed driver version is 8.66.4.0.
I am running Windows 10 on a desktop PC. I downloaded the free update many weeks ago and it's been running very smoothly until recently. Yesterday, Windows 10 downloaded and installed a new update, after which my PC began running much slower on start-up, and my speakers no longer worked. I went into the device manager and updated all the drivers, and did the troubleshooting techniques that pretty much every page on the 'net recommends for Windows 10 sound problems, but nothing fixed the problem.
View 5 RepliesThe Conexant HD Audio Sound Driver was replace by High Definition Audio Device after i update to Windows 10 Home Version 1511 from 1011
Now if i want to plug my earphones to the left side of the computer where the audio jack socket is located the sound does not transfer to my earphones except i will change the default sound device from speakers to headphones.
How can i set it to automatically when i plugin my headphones/earphones/external speaker automatically transfer the sound to this device without changing the settings?
I just installed the most recent windows 10 tech preview last night; but my sound blaster pci express sound card did not get installed correctly or something because i am getting no sound at all. I roll everything back to the old setup.
View 9 RepliesI just upgraded from Windows 7 but I suddenly found a problem with my speakers.
I have an Intel DH67GD with Realtek HD Audio. The thing is that now that I upgraded to W10 I only get the option of side speakers in 5.1. My MOBO only has a rear speakers jack so obviously now that I choose 5.1 I can't hear anything behind me and no sound comes from the rear speakers. The current driver I installed is 6.0.1.7541.
Upgraded old laptop (HP Pavilion dv2225) to WinX and everything works except for sound. Device Manger (Win key+ X) shows no missing drivers for sound. Used to play AoK under Win 7.
View 2 RepliesAfter installing recent updates 12/10/15 I have no sound???
I checked my monitor and all is fine. I checked drivers and they are all up to date?
I am a grandma but I am computer literate.
I have and Alienware laptop which automatically updated last night. I woke up and turned it on and it tells me my PC has been updated. When it comes all the way on everything is back to normal until i go to listen to music. This is when i realized no sound is working. I plug in my headphones and sure enough, it starts to work, but when i unplug them it does not work. I've gone through all the settings and stuff and i cant figure out what the problem is.
View 1 RepliesSound comes through perfectly fine on my laptop's built-in speakers. However, when plugging my headphones into the 3.5mm headset jack, there is no sound whatsoever. The system recognizes that my headset is plugged in. In fact, the microphone on my headset functions perfectly when plugged in, but the headphones themselves are outputting no sound.
I tested the headphones on other computers and devices, and they work. In Device Manager, the device is listed as "Realtek High Definition Audio". However, the only sound device listed in Control Panel is "DTS Audio Control Panel".
I've tried uninstalling the audio device from Device Manager, and then reinstalling the driver from Realtek's website. However, this is met with the exact same results... no sound through the headphones, and "DTS Audio Manager" is installed in the Control Panel instead of Realtek HD Audio Manager.
If I navigate to Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback, "Headphones" is not listed as a device. Instead, Speakers/Headphones is listen as the sole device. Also, I ran DirectX Diagnostic Tool, and it returned absolutely no errors.
Model: HP ZBook 17 G2
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
There used to be a sound option in my taskbar like everyone remembers, but I had recently installed X-Split and that is the last time I remember seeing it there. I have been on the forums and Google looking for answers but everything I find tells me to go to the settings and hit enable all. This was already checked off but even trying to select individual tasks it's not there.
Need to restore the option, volume is stuck at 37% and can't change it so I've had to use my neighbor's DJ equipment just to watch netflix at something I can hear.I went one setting down to Turn system icons on/off and sound is greyed out can't adjust that.
I am currently using Windows 10 and I notice that my Realtek High Definition audio does not have a "sound enhancements tab" how do I add this feature?
View 1 RepliesI was looking at a video on youtube, didn't do anything, all of a sudden the sound goes out. I make sure nothing on youtube is muted and it wasn't. So I right click my "SPEAKERS" icon (I'm wearing headphones) I click SOUND, then I click the SOUND tab, and the "test" icon is greyed out, meaning I can't click it. I haven't had sound in 3 days and nothings muted.
View 1 RepliesSince going from Win8 to Win10 tech preview I have had to increase my volume a lot more than before to hear anything. Volume issues with Win10?
View 9 RepliesI installed Windows 10 today, but since installing it, i have had no sound/audio. The only sound driver I have is NVIDIA High Definition Audio, but it cannot be selected as "default device".
View 6 RepliesI have a fresh install on my PC and for some reason it doesn't detect my headphones, I've plugged them in the front and rear and still no luck, all drivers and software are up to date, They did use to work before the fresh install.
View 6 RepliesSince the latest Win 10 update I can no longer get sound to come out of headphones.
Before when I plugged in headphones the speakers were turned off automatically. Now nothing happens when phones plugged in except the speakers continue to give audio sound but nothing from headphones.
After updating my Windows 10 last night, the sound went out completely. Shortly after changing the speaker properties to 24-bit, 192000, the sound came back. However, it seems like any music I listen to no longer has any bass. Is there anything else I need to do to get my sound back to normal?
View 3 RepliesI very briefly switched on the IGP whilst swapping from Nvidia to AMD last month and now Windows Update is constantly trying to update (and failing) the drivers even though no Intel drivers are currently installed, I used DDU to remove the Intel and Nvidia drivers.
How to stop it? Now whenever I open Windows update I get updates are available for Graphics Adaptor WDDM1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 for Intel HD Graphics 4600
I can't even search for new updates any more!
I have an HP laptop, and my sound card is (displayed using PCIutils for Windows):
Code:
Intel Corporation 7 Series / C210 Series
and I am finding difficulties in getting stereo sound from analogical headphones (plugged in with 3.5mm jack). Drivers downloaded from HP or Realtex do not work, drivers supplied by Windows (although they are Realtek drivers as well) sometimes work, I mean: speakers and headphones are shown together at the mixer, and sound from headphones is not stereo. I then go to device manager, audio input and output, and uninstall "Speakers/ Headphones". I then reboot with my headphones plugged in, and, after that, the sound is stereo, and (IIRC) the mixer distinguishes between headphones and speakers.
But then things get broken back soon: one time, the windows updated the sound driver, and no stereo sound again. I uninstalled the device, rebooted, and stereo back. Then I unplugged the headphones, and windows said that no speakers were found: I restarted the audio device, speakers were found again, but stereo broken again.
Earlier today I was playing my usual online game when suddenly the sound stopped working. It had been working just fine earlier and I hadn't changed anything except maybe updating Adobe Flash. After a while the sound suddenly came back and then it disappeared and hasn't returned. I've been looking through all the Device Manager and Sound Control, but nothing seems to be working. When I slide the sliders in the volume mixer Speakers/ Headphones and System Sounds lights up green. In the sound panel on the speaker icon there is a green check mark. This is all happening on my pc not my mac. So I'm not sure if I pressed a button during my gaming or if adobe flash might've messed up something. I've posted this thread here because everything I looked up points to Drivers, but to me it seems like they're working???
