Drivers/Hardware :: Pinch And Zoom Keep Resetting On HP Pavilion 15-ab045sa
Sep 22, 2015
Product Name: HP Pavilion 15-ab045sa 15.6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I am getting really annoyed! in Mouse and touchpad settings I don't want pinch and zoom enabled! So I disable it only to find out when I restart the computer, it has enabled itself again. I hate it as I keep resizing my desktop icons because of pinch and zoom.
I saved a profile for my Mouse and Touchpad settings. But it still loads the default settings, that has pinch and zoom enabled. I have to Manually load my settings.
our boss here has a Surface Pro 4 and mentioned his Pinch and Zoom on the touch screen isn't working any longer. He used to be able to open an Outlook message and he could pinch and zoom successfully using the touch screen. I know sometimes you actually do pinch and zoom on the touch pad. Is this even possible? The setting on the touch pad control panel is enabled and we are able to pinch and zoom on the pad but only in a browser, not within Outlook.
The Webcam on this laptop has been working fine for some time, but just recently it stopped working and I believe this occurred after one of the automatic upgrades. Following considerable investigation I find that I have 2 drivers under Imaging devices, they are as follows.
A Intel(R) Imaging Signal Processor 2400 B Intel(R) AVStream Camera
When it stopped working B was the driver showing under Imaging devices.
I also discovered that when I "updated" the driver and selected A the webcam worked and I thought problem solved but when I close down and then restart the webcam no longer works. The device listed in Device manager is still A. If I "update " still driver A the webcam works again.
Driver B is still present but only when I get to "Select the device driver to install". I do not select it.
How can I get out of this loop? Will deleting driver B work and if so how do I do this?
Need to undertake the above for my daughter's college course. Haven't a clue where to start and I am not particularly technical (understatement). Have found a lot stuff here about merits of FAT and exFat, but just need a working how to. Video will be involved at full 1080p so I suspect that the 4gb limit will be a hindrance (assuming 3 minutes per gb).
Just upgraded to 10. Not blown away so far, but it's a lot less stupid than 8. Glad they gave it away for free, seems like the fair thing to do considering they actually charged people money for 8.
Anyway, I'm here because my mouse settings keep reverting back to factory every time I restart the laptop. I can't stand finger gestures and tap to click, but they keep coming back like a bad case of herpes. Unlike my herpes, I'm still hoping I can cure this problem.
I have upgraded my laptop Asus k43s from windows 7 to windows 10. Everything went fine but then I decided to reset the laptop to have a fresh start. After resetting, my sound button has a red x mark on it saying that "No audio output device is installed". So I go to the device manager to check things out and it says that the drivers are functioning well. I have 4 Nvidia high definition audio and 1 realtek high definition audio(don't know why so many). I tried to disable and enable but no luck. I also tried to do a reset again to check if something went wrong on my first reset but still after the 2nd reset I still get the same problem.
Who's bright idea was it to make the scrollwheel go to the next picture instead of zoom in, in the pictures program. It's awesome that the default picture program plays GIF now, but for regular pictures I liked the scrollwheel zoom. Is there anyway to get this back or am I SOL?
I can be typing a message and all of a sudden the size will start changing from 100% to 125% and sometimes all the way up to 175% before it stops. It does flip back and forth at times. It does all this on it's own without even a thought of increasing or decreasing on my part. It has gone down on it's own to a size that is impossible to see let alone read. This is very irritating for me as it happens randomly and often. There does not seem to be any way to set it and save it as we have always had the option to do that before. I am using Windows 10 Home on a brand new HP. AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics. 2.20 GHZ 8.00 GB RAM 64-bit OS, x64-based processor. I don't know any other specifics about the system. Like I said this happens randomly and very often. It just now happened. Went from 100% down to 55% while I was typing and not trying to change the display zoom size at all. There are no files I can upload to show this....
Ok so I'm not sure when it happened but I was still on windows 8.1 at the time. I'm now on Windows 10 and I can still not zoom with the touchpad on my Laptop
Now its not the end of the world as if I use a mouse I am still able to zoom. but this has been bugging me and I have looked online and cant find anything.
I have opened mouse properties and then gone onto device setting and clicked setting and there is no option for zooming where is should be.
I have Synaptics TouchPad V8.1 on PS/2Port.
I think this is the latest version. I cant seem to find anything else.
I'm aware that semantic zoom on the start menu has not been carried over from Windows 8.x, but I'm having an issue where if I attempt to pinch to zoom on the start menu it becomes unresponsive to where I generally need to do a reset.
Default web page zoom in the Edge browser suddenly became 250% instead of 200% which was perfectly fine for my Surface pro 3. All web pages look overzoomed now, can't use browser normally this way, so every time I follow a link or open a site I have to go to the menu and change the zoom back to 200%. And I didn't find a setting anywhere to set the default zoom of the browser.
IE displays page with 200% zoom still (which is my Windows display scaling) and works fine.
I have a feeling that that change happened after the last system update.
I have a HP Pavilion g6 laptop that was factory supplied with Windows 8 and uses UEFI. I have now done a clean install of Windows 10 - 1511. If I create a System Repair Disk (CD) the laptop will boot from it, and in the boot menu it shows as UEFI. If I create a Recovery Drive (USB) the laptop won't enter the boot menu, and so can't boot from it, but my non UEFI desktop will boot from it. If I use Macrium Reflect to create a recovery USB drive the laptop will boot from that OK. So it seems that Windows is creating the wrong type of drive.
I have an H/P Pavilion g6 lap top. Tried to upgrade to Window 10 twice today. It seems to down load fine, and starts the install phase, when it gets to the black screen where it say it will restart many times, it starts copying files. It gets to 85/87% it shuts the power off to the computer. When you push the power button, it starts up, saying it is restoring previous version of Windows (8.1). Gives a dialog block with Red Shield and an (X) saying some updates were not installed, Error found C1900101-2004...
Downloaded Windows 10 on my HP Pavillion Sleekbook 14 and was not able to connect to my home WiFi. Reinstalled 8.1 and all was back to normal. Is there a new network driver I should download?
I have an HP Pavilion dv6 running Windows 7 Home. I decided to update to Windows 10. Download was successful, it attempted to install the update I guess, was on the settings part. It got stuck though on a blank screen with just a cursor for two hours so I turned off my laptop. Then it restored Windows 7, and now it's redownloading the Windows 10 update again. Thing is, I got an issue with my laptop. Whenever it boots up, I get an error message about the fan not working properly and I have to hit enter for it to continue with the restart otherwise it will power off. Could that have affected the update to Windows 10?
Since upgrading to Windows 10 I can't send e-mails from my HP Pavilion 15 laptop (64 bit) but I do receive them on both outlook and live mail but this problem does not effect my dell desktop (32bit) is this a windows problem or my laptop
I have an hp pavilion dm4 laptop. i have installed windows 10 and using for last 10 months but after updating to latest build 11082 my finger print scanner is not detected in start up login but i can add fingers and delete fingers in windows hello section. this started only after latest build was installed prior to that i was able to work it out.
I am using hp pavilion 15 series P077tx laptop. Currently I am running windows 10 single language. Everything works just fine but when i turn off the laptop it wont shutdown the display goes off but the power led & the system led remains on. I have to hold the power key for 5sec to turn off my laptop every time.
I updated my HP Pavilion laptop to Windows 10 last weekend. Ever since then, I've had a problem any time I'm typing. I can't seem to type for more than 5 seconds without a left click happening on its own (sometimes it's a right click, oddly), which usually either opens a menu, moves where in the document/webpage I'm typing, or stops my typing altogether.
For example, if I'm on an email website, and click New Mail or Reply and leave my cursor hovering over that button, after about five seconds of my typing, the button is clicked again. If I'm typing in a box (like I'm doing right now), I can keep the cursor hovering over the box and my cursor will click somewhere else in the box suddenly, or if I keep the cursor hovering over the outside of the page it'll click and suddenly I can't type anymore. If the cursor is hovering over something I've already typed, I'm suddenly typing back in that earlier text.
This happens when using both a wireless mouse or the touchpad. I typically have the touchpad turned off so I can use the wireless mouse, but have the same problem with the mouse off and its USB dongle not connected.
I also have a problem when using the touch pad that after I've typed for, again, about five seconds the touch pad is completely unresponsive. That's not as bad a problem, since I normally use the wireless mouse. But I'd like to get that fixed, too.
after upgrading to the windows 10 OS, I could not get my HDMI port to work. It does not get recognized at all and is very frustrating. I run the OS on my laptop which is a HP Pavilion. I really need it to be working. I love windows 10 but this is a big problem.
