After I installed windows 10 my printer won't print. It shoots out the paper but it is blank. I checked and all the drivers are up too date. I use a Canon MX860 All in one. It worked fine on Vista, 7 & 8.

View 9 RepliesI have installed Windows 10 after having 8.1. I cannot get my printer to work it is a Kodak one wii fii enabled but since installing windows 10 it will not print via wii fii. It has a couple of times printed via the usb cable but more often than not wont print. I wondered if it was anything to do with it picking up which port I am trying to print from. What I can do. Was thinking of getting rid of Windows 10 and going back to 8.1 but dont know how to do it.

View 1 Replieswhen I try to print any documdent with a print command, I only get anoption to save the document as a tiff file. Saving the document and then trying to print it gives the same "save as" option again. Printer is HP photosmart 6100 series.

In Windows 10, when I print I have a print destination of 'Fax' which puts me into the Windows 10 Fax code which tells me that I don't have a fax machine set up and then we go downhill into total irrelevancy.
View 5 RepliesThe print spooler chokes on both of my Windows 10 machines when trying to deal with certain pdf files. For instance when I tried to print [URL] ... via my browser (Chrome), it printed the first 6 pages, but the printer showed an error when it came to the seventh page. When I then tried to create another job just to print the seventh page, it just hung around in the print spool and nothing happened at the printer.
I tried this several times on two machines. It was also impossible either to cancel the job in the print queue manager or to stop the spooler in the services manager in order to manually clear the print queue, which meant that the only way I could clear the queue was to restart the machine. I got the same behaviour whether I was printing to my physical printer or to the MS pdf printer. I also got the same behaviour when I tried to print from a different browser (Edge). This is not the first time I have had a problem with an unprintable file like this in Windows 10.
It seems that since Windows 10 my hp new laptop will not print to my wireless (old?) hp 6500 709n all in one printer..

I use a Lexmark 7600 Series printer.
My computer recognizes my printer as my selected device and prior to installing Windows 10 I could print easily.

View 1 RepliesThe issue is I have a network printer selected as the default in Windows 10. I have the option "Let Windows manage my default printer" turned off. At one point randomly, the default printer goes back to the Adobe PDF as the default.
Steps taken:
* I have checked the registry settings to ensure that the options "let Windows manage my default printer" is switched off. I can confirm this.
* Switched the default printer back to the network printer and performed a reboot. The network printer remains as the default. At some point of the day it goes back to Adobe PDF.
When I use the Microsoft print to pdf printer in Win 10, it gives the file a name and saves it to My Documents. How do I change the save to location to my desktop? Can I name the file myself rather than accept the name win 10 thinks it should be?
View 9 RepliesAfter upgrade from 7 to 10 my 2 brother printers were visible and apparently ready. The HL2270DW would not print - just spooled forever but the MFCJ825DW worked. I tried using the Brother uninstall tool to remove the laser driver then installed the W8.1 package for it. Would not install. So I wondered if the other printer was to blame and removed it as well and re-installed. I have done this many times now getting progressively more thorough including removing all mentions of Brother drivers using Devices and Printers interface, uninstalling in Device Manager installing in a different order and as administrator, removing folders left over etc. The result is always the same. I can get one of them installed but attempting to print gives the error Driver not installed - do you want to install? Click through, install via windows process but it fails anyway.
View 2 RepliesWhy can Microsoft understand I don't want to use these POS Realtek drivers. I use to disable driver updates from Windows 10 by going into Device Installation settings and Never install drivers from Windows update but now since the last stupid update everytime the POS Realtek drives install automatically no matter how many times I roll back and remove them. I hate the Realtek drives because the audio is super loud and sounds terrible. I just want to use the Microsoft HD Audio Driver which sounds great and uses little resources but no Windows 10 decides that the POS Realtek driver is better.
View 7 RepliesJust like the title says, I don't want the realtek audio drivers as it completely messes with my audio and also doesn't correctly switch when i plug in headphones for example.
It also doesn't allow for the 'speaker fill' enhancement to be used when playing stereo content through surround sound.
Windows itself does a far better job as opposed to realtek.
Every time i uninstall realtek it automatically gets reinstalled.
So, first up, was getting crashes with my windows 10 after installing nvidia driver 359.00, mostly crashes that recovered automatically, then started getting Blue Screens. Tried 359.06 and had the same problems. Rolled back to 358.91 which originally had been stable but after the rollback became crashy, but less than the other 2 drivers.
Had a HARD crash while playing Dragon Quest Heroes, rebooted from that and could not boot into windows whatsoever. Had to pull the card, use the motherboard video, removed the nvidia drivers entirely. I can boot into windows as long as there are no nvidia drivers while using my GTX 670. While attempting to reinstall any nvidia drivers with maybe 5% of the green bar on the installer showing it goes black screen, sits for a bit, then reboots. BIOS looks fine, windows splash comes up, not the password screen, black screen there. Tried what I could find to put the password in and get past he black screen but nothing happening.
Is there a problem with my card or my windows install? I'd rather not buy a new card but its always a pain reinstalling windows if I don't actually have to. how to export all my windows settings if I do need to reinstall.?
Can't print from any app in Windows 10. Printing from Edge, Google, etc. just spins around and Microsoft Word or any pdf just freezes and eventually says "not responding"
Printers are HP LaserJet Pro P1102 and HP 7250. The download and install assistant for update firmware is very slow. 2 hrs in.

View 4 RepliesI installed windows 10 using the iso option of media creation tool. I did a clean install of it. It worked fine till the time I noticed that the graphics were not installed. So I downloaded drivers for my nvidia 7025 nforce 630a (309.08-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql.exe). But when I tried to install it, after some time, the display went blank and i got an "Out Of Range error". I encountered this error in the past, so I tried to boot the system in "low-resolution mode" and then fix it. But Low Resolution mode gives me same error. Need installing the driver correctly, as the performance of the system is damn slow (as it is using microsoft's basic video driver).

View 2 RepliesHP 1512 all in one printer only has a usb connection (not wireless) It was connected and worked in Win 7 but would not work in Win 10. Win 10 does not recognize the connection during installation.
I followed the directions in the printer support, disconnected and reconnected, uninstalled and reinstalled, got HP to connect to my computer, and worked on it for 2 days. Now I have no Printer Support files (HP Techs deleted too much?)
I want to delete a printer selection from the print window for example text document File>Print I've deleted it in the window but it comes back.
