Feb 10, 2016I've repeatedly attempted this, but always get "An error occurred during setup. Restart your computer, then run setup again". This is an all too typical message you can find associated with many Epson products.
I've tried:
-Clean boot
-Safe mode (install enabled)
-Using an Epson removal tool I finally obtained after my 5th chat with Epson.
-An Epson fix deleting temp folder and looking for setup.exe that never appeared.
-Manually removing all Epson folders and registry entries I can find.
-Disabling firewall and AV
The same CD installed ok on my 6 year-old laptop (both run Windows x64).
I've run SFC /Scannow - ok
At best, the scanner is recognised as being connected when plugged in, and appears with a yellow trangle under 'Other Devices' in Device Manager.

Oct 5, 2015When i upgraded to windows 10 on my toshiba laptop the display changed from black printing on a white background to blue printing on a black background which i can"t read. my old eyes aren't working so well any more and i would like to switch back to the black on white.

Aug 23, 2015I downloaded windows 10 but now my printer is not printing from different websites or from my email accounts. I have a Canon MX700 series. It will print only things that I have in Microsoft word but not from any site online.
I also get the error message...Awww Snap or something. I never had problems printing until the download.

I setup the computer, used disk for the Win8 and downloaded the Win10 driver and installed on the second laptop. Both Asus laptops printed and then quit.I have reinstalled printer, run every diagnostic I can find and still cannot get either to print.

Aug 28, 2015I have a multifunction HP C5280 printer connected via USB to my router that has a built in printer server and it's a couple of days I can't print through it from my laptop anymore (but I still can print from my smartphone as always).
The problem started when I removed the device from control panel to try installing the latest driver downloaded from the HP website, because I wasn't able to scan from it, but at least I still could print. Since then, even if the printer appears as ready, Windows doesn't even send documents to the spooler: the printer icon appears on the taskbar but it just says "0 document(s) pending".
Additional informations: I already uninstalled the downloaded new driver and installed back the previous working one and it's not a spooler problem since I can print if I directly connect the printer through the laptop USB.
Installation :: Media Creation Tool Error - Setup Couldn't Start Properly
Aug 1, 2015This morning I started the windows creation Tool to download Windows 10 ISO to do a clean install. About 10 minutes into the download the machine lost power. I rebooted into the machine and tried to run the Tool again, but all I get is "Setup couldn't start properly. Please reboot your PC and try running Windows Setup again". So, I rebooted and all I get in the same message. What can I do to fix this?

Aug 31, 2015I have a home network with 4 Windows 10 and two Windows XP computers. The 4 Windows 10 computers are in a Homegroup and all are set up to share files and printers. I can access documents on all of the computers in the homegroup from every other computer in the homegroup. Two of the computers are logged in with local user accounts. The other two are logged in with Microsoft ID user accounts. One of the Microsoft account computers has an HP inkjet printer and a Brother laser printer attached via USB ports. I can print on those two printers from the host computer and from the two computers logged in with local accounts. I cannot print to those two printers from the other computer logged in with a Microsoft user account. When I try to do so I get a notification that says "access denied, unable to connect". If I change that one computer to a local account, it works just fine immediately, but when I change it back to a Microsoft ID user account the problem recurs. That would seem to preclude driver, homegroup and network problems, but I rule nothing out at this point.

Aug 2, 2015After upgrading to Windows 10, I've been having tremendous problems getting my Brother MFC-J430W working wirelessly, installing the latest Windows 8.1 x64 drivers from their website works fine and it detects the printer through wireless right away.
My problems with it are the Printer constantly says its offline under the Windows 10 printing tab however the Brother's icon shows the device connected and ready and even shows me the current ink levels. The only way I can currently print a document is by restarting my computer, and very quickly sending a document to print before it goes offline again. So basically the printer only seems to connect online when I restart the computer but goes offline within a minute or two, I didn't experience this issue in Windows 8.1 x64.
Notepad / Rich Text Document Stops When Printing
Jan 19, 2016I have a friend that has this problem,When he tries to print from either notepad or rich text document it says that it stops working,With no error code.
Printing from Chrome browser and Thunderbird email client work just fine.And his other computer prints just fine from notepad and rich text document.

Nov 4, 2015After I uninstalled catalyst control centre (because I was having problems with it). When I restarted my mouse and keyboard weren't working. So I tried a ps2 kb and mouse and this worked. I went to device manager a looked at the USB devices, all of them had a yellow warning sign next to the devices. I checked each one and they all had error 39 (missing or corrupted drivers). I tried updating and uninstalling the devices with no avail. How can I fix this?

Oct 19, 2015There may be something simple I'm overlooking here, but recently I've noticed that audio on my computer (music, videos, games) every so often plays a glitchy sound, and the video and music lag for the same time period. It's an occurrence that happens fairly frequently but not predictably (i.e. there is no pattern to it at all). It's as if the audio "stutters".
It's not the fact that I'm running a lot of power-hungry programs (happens when, for example, five programs are running or only one); it makes no difference where the programs are stored (i.e. SSD or HDD) and, for that matter, I don't believe it's hardware-related at all as this does not happen on my parallel Xubuntu install; it's not due to lack of disk space nor running background processes.
It's not hugely detrimental to my work but it is becoming a mild-to-moderate annoyance whenever I do anything multimedia-related.
Note: It may also be related (but is a different set of symptoms) that when playing MS Solitaire Collection for long periods of time, the game will begin to freeze altogether for short periods of time, this time periodically and predictably and longer than any other game. "Long periods of time" is anything over about ten-fifteen minutes, and the freezing gets worse the longer I play.

Aug 21, 2015I just upgraded to Windows 10 OS. It doesn't recognize my iPod. When I attach to the USB port, I get a message there's a problem with this drive. Then, Disc Check can't be performed because Windows can't access the disk. When I open Settings > Devices, the message says iPod Driver error.
I expect I need a new Driver installed.

Drivers/Hardware :: Chipset USB Controllers Error 10 At Every Boot
Sep 26, 2015Since some weeks my usbs stopped working, including the mouse and keyboard. Fortunately I have remote desktop enabled and I could access to the computer. What I saw is that in every boot the usb chipset go to error state with code 10 (The message is: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API).
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, updating it , disabling and enabling, using troubleshooter and reinstalling the usb.inf. The only that enables ok the usbs is disabling and enabling it, but when I reboot, error 10 again.
I don't know what to do. I found in other sites that the solution is only perform a repair install or format the computer and because I don't want formatting the computer I want to know if there are other options that would repair my usbs.

Printer says its ready but I cannot print from any application. Printing troubleshooter finds no problems.
