Drivers/Hardware :: Sound Settings - Volume Lowered At Startup
Oct 22, 2015
No matter what I do the volume setting is always lowered at startup. I hope there's a setting somewhere that I'm missing. Could it be a Realtek setting/problem?
Since I installed Windows 10, whenever I start my laptop the sound is muted by default. It doesn't happen with a restart, only when starting after a shut down.I know it's a first world problem, but it's annoying.
I would like to eliminate the sound when I adjust the volume on the sound icon in the lower right hand area of the task bar . Wat steps I can take to be able to still adjust the volume, but not hear the loud sound it makes when adjusting?
I just did a clean win10 install yesterday, everything works fine except for my audio sound volume. My device is compatible, it works just fine under Windows 8.1 but its way too small compared from my Windows 10 now.
On my headphone all works fine, but the sound through the integrated speakers is much lower. With some movies I can put the sound up to max and still its not loud enough.
I've got a really weird problem with my sound on my PC. Whenever i try to listen to anything on my computer using headphones, i can hear the music/background noise perfectly clear, but when the volume is High, sound stop for 2/3seconds, and couple of seconds sound - and again. Headphones are new and I do not use Realtek.
I noticed that all the Technical Preview (Evaluation copies) updates do not contain any Windows Startup or Welcome sound. Will the final release of Windows 10 contain a start up sound ?
The Conexant HD Audio Sound Driver was replace by High Definition Audio Device after i update to Windows 10 Home Version 1511 from 1011
Now if i want to plug my earphones to the left side of the computer where the audio jack socket is located the sound does not transfer to my earphones except i will change the default sound device from speakers to headphones.
How can i set it to automatically when i plugin my headphones/earphones/external speaker automatically transfer the sound to this device without changing the settings?
I just have a old Ace Aspire V3-471G with Windows 10 installed . Everything is fine for 3 week . And then one day when i restart a laptop to install some app , I heard very noisy beeping sound . And then Windows 10 starting but then immediately restart again . It keep going on like that. I decide to install old Windows 7 and it start fine although if i connect USB , sometime it will beeping again.
I'm running Windows 10 (build 10130) in a virtual machine and I noticed that the startup sound wasn't playing. The box for "Play startup sound" is checked in the Sound control panel, and I even checked imageres.dll to see if the startup sound was still there. (it still is.)
I just installed the most recent windows 10 tech preview last night; but my sound blaster pci express sound card did not get installed correctly or something because i am getting no sound at all. I roll everything back to the old setup.
What the heck is going on with the volume in Windows 10? Randomly, after unpausing the sound, the sound will be incredibly loud. As soon as I adjust the volume (even just pressing the sound increase or decrease button once) the sound volume goes back to being as loud as it should be. It is extremely frustrating when I pause and unpause and then cant hear because I am now deaf.
My max (100) volume on Windows 10 is about 40% of what it used to be on previous windows. I can barely hear anything on YouTube. I found about 5-6 topics on google discussing this, but none of the solutions worked. I've tried reinstalling the driver, tried changing the frequencies, nothing works. I have a DELL laptop.
I enabled the boot to startup settings option in winaero and now my computer boots to bitlocker. I checked online and I don't have the key for it. What can I do? (Computer is surface pro 3 i5 4g of ram)
I have only one account with administrative privileges. However, at reboot, Windows 10 starts fresh. It says preparing system.
There are some programs I installed which remain, however, don't save settings. For instance, Mozilla Firefox won't stay default browser, it won't save my homepage, addons won't save. It's similar with other programs.
It seems like Windows just doesn't save settings but loads fresh at ever startup.
The problem is that the volume of different sources of sound, for example YouTube, gets reduced if I turn another difference source of sound, for example League of Legends. So, once I play League of Legends, my YouTube music gets reduced. If I first run League and THEN YouTube, then YouTube gets reduced, if I first press PLAY on YT and then go to League, my League volume gets reduced.
I don't know what the hell is going on and I hate it. I have Windows 10 Pro and I have tried the "Do Nothing" option at sound settings. I have checked out every single tab on sound settings and nothing works.
This problem started once I installed W10, it worked fine on W7.
own a sony vaio laptop and recently did a clean install of windows 10 on it, however I noticed that the volume was significantly lower than windows 8.1. My computer uses Realtek HD Audio.I tried installing drivers from Sony's as well as Realtek's website, however there is still no change.
