Just realised that, since I upgraded from Win 7 64 Home Premium to Win 10, it has not detected the laptop's Bluetooth device. It doesn't even feature as a device in Device Manager ... not even one with a problem.

View 1 RepliesI have tried for days to remove a Bluetooth Speaker that did not install proper, I remove it try to re-pair does not pair, then upon reboot it is installed again with error. No matter how many times its removed Windows keeps re installing the device on its own.
How do you completely remove a bluetooth device, all traces so you can start fresh?
I have searched the internet for 2 days and no one has the answer yet. Not even on the MS forums
I can get it to pair and says it is paired but it says it is disconnected in the playback and recording settings dialog box. Is it possible my devices are too old the Bluetooth dongle is BT2.0 and the headset is a MotorolaT225 hands free speakerphone for my cellphone which works fine. If they are then what headset does work with win10 out of the box?
View 6 RepliesI'm not sure if this is the right place or if it should possible be network related... but for some reason, the "Bluetooth" tile is back in my Action Center, but I have zero Bluetooth devices on or installed.
It was there after the latest build 10586, then I think the first Cumulative Update came out and it went away... I doubt there was any causal link between them... but now after a restart of the computer, the tile is back... and I don't know why.
On Windows 8. 1, I had no issues with this speaker. It's a JBL Charge. After upgrading to 10 it worked fine until a reboot when it failed to connect (it pairs, but won't connect, and the speaker doesn't appear as an audio-out option in Sound settings).
The Bluetooth wizard in PC Settings says "Driver error" next to the speaker icon.
Poking around in device manager, I see this error:
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Conflicting Address Range}
The specified address range conflicts with the address space."
The only references I find to this error online are for different (and quite old) version of windows, and seem unrelated to Bluetooth.
I can't even look at the "resources" tab because it appears to have vanished in Windows 10!
I have a Toshiba X500-10T laptop with bluetooth not pairing with HP 460wbt printer.
Manage bluetooth devices finds printer but when I click to pair after some time the printer disappears with the following message.
My computer with Windows 10 no longer recognizes my Hero 3+ GoPro Camera, nor my Nikon D5100. I have looked for drivers, but to no avail. Any way that I can pull pictures/video off these devices and put on computer?
View 13 RepliesI've noticed an interesting fact while i was working with few usb's . Windows 10 , at least mine cannot eject usb's no matter if you just plugged it in , safe eject doesn't work . There is a message coming up "this device is currently in use close all programs...."
View 9 RepliesMy laptop does not want to recognise the sound card/audio driver that are built into it. The fun part is this just happened. Audio played yesterday, and the time before that, and even before the upgrade. The only thing that has changed (or at least is the biggest change i can think of) is downloading and installing Cygwin (sans audio packages). In trying to play a song on the new microsoft Groove, i get this;
Further inspection in the playback devices, the only two options are the Speakers/Headphones and communications Headphones, the former of which i can only assume is my actual computer speakers (otherwise its completely gone!).Looking at the device manager, everything seems okay. All the drivers are up to date so im not sure what could be wrong there?
Its Windows 10 pro (upgraded from Win7 Pro) and the computer is a Dell Precision M4600. (I am pretty sure the audio driver is in the device manager image).
The camera on my Toshiba S50-B laptop worked fine when on the original Windows 8.1 but doesn't work now that I have upgraded to Windows 10. It says "Something went wrong - make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another application". I have tried everything I know of and find no reason. Is there another driver required or ...? I cannot even find the camera.
View 2 RepliesI've been attempting to use applications like Teamspeak or Google Hangouts, but whenever I try to use the built-in microphone on my laptop, it doesn't work. It did work when I was using Windows 8.1. The "update driver" button only says that it's up to date.
EDIT: I have also found that the microphone appears to be turning on and off, stopping any audio when it's on.
I have a new all in one desktop. I want to use the monitor as an extenal screen for my laptop. I connect the hmdi lead from the laptop to the AiO hdmi input socket. The laptop 'sees' the external monitor (Fn and F5 tells me this) but the monitor will not detect the laptop.
View 1 RepliesI have a MSI GS60 ghost pro gaming laptop which has Intel HD graphics 4600 and Nvidia GTX970M GPU, CPU i7 4720HQ, running Windows 10. I study abroad, several months ago i went back home and plugged-in my laptop to the TV via HDMI for gaming like normal. Yesterday i bought an ASUS VC239H external monitor and tried to do the same thing, but there is no HDMI input signal, the Laptop cannot detect the monitor (include display settings, intel HD graphics settings, nvidia settings). This is what i tried:
- Fn+f2, Fn+f8 keys, windows P switching to duplicate or extend or anykind of options
- plug the monitor into my friend's laptop with windows 8 through that HDMI cable and it works fine, the same with other laptop running windows 7==> cable and monitor are normal
- plug my laptop to my neighbor's smart TV. There was ''connected' symbol which appears on the TV but black screen instead of image, Laptop couldn't detect the TV
- reinstalling nvidia and onboard-graphics drivers and update to the latest
- Made a clean install of windows, tried windows 8 also but the same result
- Updated my BIOS and EC
- Bought an adapter HDMI-Mini Displayport to use the mini displayport with HDMI cable

My laptop suddenly crashed and now it says "Boot media missing" when I restarted. After that, it always takes me to "Preparing Automatic Repair" and then the 'Troubleshoot' menu.
In the 'Troubleshoot' menu, it has two options: 'Reset this PC' and 'Advanced options'.
When I choose "Reset this PC", it asks me whether to keep my files or remove everything. I've tried both and it displays an error. When I choose to keep my files, it says that drive is locked and tells me to unlock the drive and try again. When I choose to remove everything, it says that there is a problem resetting the PC.
And then I've moved to "Advanced options". The options are: System Restore, System Image Recovery, Startup Repair, Command Prompt, UEFI Firmware Settings, and Go back to previous build. I've tried all of these and it all returned an error. When I chose UEFI Settings, it restarted to BIOS/UEFI setting. And my BIOS/UEFI can't detect my hard drive. DISKPART from Command Prompt can't detect it either.
My project is due in 3 days and I've got all my files in there. Is there a way to fix this? Or to recover my files?

The device was paired, but would not connect. I attempted to remove the device, but the tablet has been trying to "REMOVE DEVICE" for 3 days now.
I can't stop or interrupt the process.

On my Android phone, I can select any of the 10-20 devices that show when I enable bluetooth. How do I do that on Windows 10 on a PC/Laptop? It seems like Windows 10 just tries to connect to the first thing it sees when you turn on Bluetooth.

I am facing a problem with the Bluetooth connectivity in my laptop(OS:windows 10). If i connect to any Bluetooth device (phone/audio), wifi becomes limited and I'll not be able to access the internet. I'm facing this problem only after upgrading to windows 10.

So I thought of uninstalling and re-installing my bluetooth driver, which happened to be Microsoft Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Driver version 10.0.10586.0 ( dated 2006-06-21 ). Now I'm not able to find this driver again. I'm facing with the bluetooth.
View 13 RepliesI have been trying to test Bluetooth file transfer on my Lenovo IdeaPad running Windows 10. I am using an Android phone and an Android tablet to transfer a file. NOTE: Bluetooth transfer from the phone to the tablet works as expected, therefore any error in the Bluetooth stack on these devices can be ruled out.
On the Windows 10 laptop, the pairing works. I've documented the process here. The error can be seen in picture 3.
I can pair the LG Optimus G Pro with Windows 10. However, when I initiate transfer from the phone OR the PC, the transfer fails. On Android, the error is just "Transfer unsuccessful". I've posted 3 images about the error on Windows when transfer is initiated.

I have a Broadcom Bluetooth USB 4.0 driver installed. How to solve this? Lenovo has not published a Win 10 specific driver for my device (Y580)
I am running Windows 10 Home version 1511 build 10586.63 on a Dell XPS L502X laptop. I have just bought a Bose SLIII bluetooth speaker. I can connect it up to the laptop no problem and it works well, however when I disconnect it I cannot reconnect them without removing the device and pairing it again. On my Android phone it is detected and automatically reconnects. Why I have to recreate the device each time I want to connect on the PC? If I do a Win+A then 'connect' and select the speaker device, it tries for a few seconds then I get a yellow message 'Couldn't connect'. When I remove the device and 'Pair' it again it connects immediately.
View 5 RepliesI have tried both front and rear inputs and still no success. My PC won't recognize my headphones being plugged in. They're headphones with a USB and 2 jacks (speakers and mic), and when plugged in the green light is active on the headphones showing their working/have power. Changing the connector to a solo jack, I can plug it into my PS4 / iPhone and it works fine. However on my PC it doesn't work, despite it working completely fine for 2 weeks until 2 days ago.
I've tried going to device manager and updating drivers, and I've also tried managing audio settings and making it my default device but the PC is not picking up the headphones exist, even after ticking Show Disabled Devices. In device managers, the headphones aren't under "Sound, video and game controllers", "Audio inputs and outputs", or "Unknown Devices" (as I have no Unknown Devices menu). I do not have RealTek Audio Manager. These are the solutions that worked for most people but not myself.
The events that led to this error was last night I was trying to watch a film but my TV (which is my monitor) speakers weren't working. After updating sound drivers and realising they were for some reason disabled, I re-enabled them and they worked fine. However, disabling them again does not fix the problem. The PC does not pick up the headphones at all, mic or sound. I do believe that it is an issue with the newest drivers I installed after upgrading to Windows 10 three days ago. The headphones worked fine on Windows 10, but I believe the issue is with the new drivers I installed to make my TV speakers work.
