Okay so I had this problem in windows 8.1 but fixed it by turning off smart sense which still has the same function in windows 10 but it did not work. I am looking so find solutions online because this problem is really annoying when it comes to games.
View 9 RepliesI have power settings to shut the screen off after 15 min. and put PC to sleep after 20 min. After returning to the PC after more than 20 minutes the PC won't wake up when I move the mouse or type on the keyboard. How do I wake the PC? This only happened since I installed Windows 10.
View 5 RepliesI recently upgraded Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.0. I have tried reinstalling Synaptics, removing and uninstalling Synaptics, disabling palmcheck, but it wouldn't work. It's annoying when you are playing a game that requires moving while pressing keys on your keyboard. I also have Synaptics 7.5 (19.0.10). The only way I can move my mouse while pressing any key is pressing (any key) + shift.
View 5 RepliesI have an annoying problem. When I move from my secondary LCD to the primary, sometimes the mouse won't cross the threshold unless I move it fast. I read about mouse monitor escape speed from this thread, but after adding the reg key to the control panel/desktop and the edgeui, I still have no luck.
I noticed the thread was old. Is this something where those fixes no longer work in the latest and greatest version of Win10? If so, is there a way to stop it from sticking?
Recently there was an update from windows on windows 8. A problem came about when i realized that every time I spectate in a game or watch some TV series, the graphics starts to lag and becomes jerky. I thought it may be a problem with OS so i upgraded it to windows 10, but the problem still exists.

View 2 RepliesAfther installing the intel chipset driver the pc crashed showed a blue screen with large tex saying that the pc run into a problem and is collecting data. Then it turned off and started booting went past the windows booting logo and than showed a black screen with a mouse pointer that constantly changes between loading and busy... you can move the mouse pointer on the black screen and nothing else... I can't boot the laptop and I don't know what to do
View 1 RepliesI'm suffering from PC freezes. It freezes when I'm in windows but not in post. When it freezes my mouse wont move and keys won't register.. so it's just really stuck. I've tried waiting for about an hour but it didn't woke up. It happens really random. While loading a game, watching pictures or idle.. the time interval is very random aswell, couple times a day or once every couple of days. All possible with this freeze.. My current solution is holding down the power button so it shuts down, and then rebooting it. I'm not OC-ed and the pc is about 4~5 years old.
Now I'm wondering if there is a list of things that one would do? I don't really mind doing a lot of extra checking, since I normally don't check my system. A full check would be nice actually. I have tried running mdsched.exe and it showed 0 problems. I'm currently checking my hdd from within windows. (Rmb the partition and select run check) I did not upgrade anything on my pc other then my gpu a couple of years back. But it used to run fine even after the upgrade. The os i'm running, comming from vista pro to 8.0 pro to 8.1 pro to 10 pro could be cause aswell I guess, even tough I did preform a nearly clean install for the win 10.
The reason I want a list of testing programs, tips and tricks is that I can't find a solid list. There must be a certain guideline for finding 90% of the common computer problems? Check hardware first then software?
I just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and I have a 2 monitor setup. I like to drag/drop windows from one monitor to the other, but Windows 10 has a barrier it seems right in the top corners. If I'm on the left monitor, and I go to drag a window to the right monitor, it will hang in the top right corner of the left monitor and not move, until I move the cursor down slightly, then it'll let me move it. Is there a way to remove that stopgap so I can move windows freely from one monitor to the other without having to go around the top corner?
View 7 RepliesI have had this issue for only a couple of days now. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers for the mouse, sound card, and headset, which still hasn't worked. I've seen other sites talking about an "Intel Technologies Access Services" which isn't showing up in my task manager or services (I'm assuming that's a good thing). I guess I'm just not exactly sure what else to try at this point.
View 5 RepliesOver the past few weeks I've been trying various Alfa Wi-Fi adaptors, and different drivers. I've now given up and bought a device (TP-Link) that has a driver built into Windows 10.
However, when I plugged it in it seems to have picked up on an Alfa driver, possibly as the chipset is similar.
Is there a way to purge all drivers for a device type, except the Microsoft ones?

View 2 RepliesIts a common issue, but a long time ago I have fixed this issue but i forgot how. I have already tried all the fixes I could find on the internet. I disabled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on every port, I also went to power settings and disabled use selective suspend setting on EVERY POWER PROFILE.
And i also updated the usb 3.0 extensible drivers and the intel series 8 intel chipset drivers. but everytime i plug my external HDD to my new laptop the first 3.0 port sometimes just keep connecting and disconnecting instantly, and on the second port it connects and stay connected but if i move a big file it will start flickering on and off ( small files i can move) and yes i know about the radiation that 3.0 devices output and i have moved the drive away from the laptop. last step is to disable wifi and try again.didnt work.
USB 2.0 ports work fine
I received an update for windows 10, and after installing, my mouse didn't work. I tried several other mice, and none of them worked. I looked more into the problem and after a while of exploring Device manager, the drivers weren't installed, but when I followed the instructions to install the drivers, it said the drivers didn't exist, even though a couple hours before hand, the mouse had been working fine.
View 2 RepliesI started to upgrade all my drivers since I downloaded windows 10. Everything was going along fine until I hit the driver on my mouse. Gone the mouse disappeared. There was no way to get it back. So I finally hooked up another mouse and tried to go back and roll back the driver to the other version. The roll back box won't lite up and it has to be lite to be able to roll back.
View 8 RepliesI have a Acer Aspire E17 with a precision touchpad. The touchpad works, but I prefer the mouse. Sometimes when I am using the mouse I hear a strange sound then it stops working. It only lasts for about 10 seconds then the sound returns and the mouse works again.

The (Hardware tab) in the Mouse link shows two different types of mouse.
One is a Pluralinput Mouse 0.8.2.0 and the other is a Synaptics P/S2 Port Touch Pad.
The Pluralinput information reads:

I have just upgraded to windows 10 the other day. I am running an Acer Aspire Notebook R3-471T, Intel HD 4400 Series, i5-4210U @ 1.7GHz 2.40GHz, 6GB Ram. So after i upgraded to win 10, i downloaded auto detect driver update from acer and intel. I updated all my drivers and then i downloaded some games. Apparently every 4-5 secs mouse freezes for a fraction then goes back to normal. I can't play anything because every 5 seconds my mouse (therefore the gameplay) freezes. I didn't have this problem on win 8.1.
View 1 RepliesEvery 5/10 minutes, my mouse pointer keeps sticking, for around 1 second, then jumps to where it should have been. It's almost as if the pointer isn't actually sticking but the screen isn't updating. This started happening after upgrading to Windows 10.
View 4 RepliesI've had a Logitech M510 mouse for about a month and time is running out on a return. My problem is jerky and intermittent movement problems. These may have a workaround my using a USB extension cable since moving the receiver away from USB 3.0 ports may eliminate the interference.
I'm thinking of returning the mouse tomorrow before the return term expires. Are there mice that do not exhibit the 3.0 interference or is this simply a technology impediment to using wireless mouce?
I just upgraded to Windows 10 a few days ago on my desktop. After it booted for the first time, everything worked just like before on Windows 8.1.
After a bit, it prompted me to restart for updates. After it finished with the updates, I noticed that the mouse started a major stuttering problem when scrolling.
I noticed it first in Chrome, so I switched over to another program (Notepad++) and it did it over there as well.
I am assuming that it was caused by the update after upgrading to Windows 10.
I've got this issue that comes and goes. So basically my mouse wont click my taskbar sometimes and on google chrome when i press on one of my bookmarks it opens a new tab instead and when i press on it, it closes down, and no im not pressing the X, its wherever i press it will just close down.
This issue started happening this summer when i did a fresh install of Windows 10 but then i fixed it by restarting explorer.exe and it disappeared but now even that wont work. It started to happen again when i installed Windows 10 on my SSD yesterday and the problem just showed up and then after a while it disappeared but now its back again.It is really frustrating. i read somewhere that it could be my middle mousewheel that is lagging up but i dont think so.
I successfully upgraded (well not without issues!) to Win10 Pro. I have been having issues where when I click on something the computer just goes into La La Land. Only way I can get out is to do a hard reset or hold down the power button for four seconds. I am not sure what error report to look at to see what is hanging up the system. Initially the machine did not like my old Logitech Trackman Mx trackball unit so I shut down the machine and unplugged it and plugged in a standard USB Microsoft mouse. The issue is still there but not quite as bad. Seems to be related to moving and clicking the mouse.
