View 1 RepliesI upgrades to Win 10 the the above network/wireless printer worked fine. I've now done a fresh install and it doesn't!
The scanning function works but trying to print produces an error. I've been advised by Samsung support that their driver doesn't support Win 10 and that they don't know when a new version will be released. They said it would still function under the upgrade as it still had access to the old Win 7 drivers there.
Any way of making the Win 7 drivers available on a fresh Win 10 install?
Since changing to W10 I am unable to install the above on my lap top, both worked fine on my old vista machine, little notice comes saying something like ..incompatable with the O.S, is there away to get around this ?
The printer, an Epson DX4400 is a few years old I know, but it is still very good and I dont really want to get rid of it.
After upgrade from 7 to 10 my 2 brother printers were visible and apparently ready. The HL2270DW would not print - just spooled forever but the MFCJ825DW worked. I tried using the Brother uninstall tool to remove the laser driver then installed the W8.1 package for it. Would not install. So I wondered if the other printer was to blame and removed it as well and re-installed. I have done this many times now getting progressively more thorough including removing all mentions of Brother drivers using Devices and Printers interface, uninstalling in Device Manager installing in a different order and as administrator, removing folders left over etc. The result is always the same. I can get one of them installed but attempting to print gives the error Driver not installed - do you want to install? Click through, install via windows process but it fails anyway.
View 2 Repliesi've updated to windows 10 on my pc and i'm unable to download the driver for my epson sx235w printer to my pc. i've tried the install disc and also via the drivers online. each time it starts to download the drivers it gets stuck on the download part with the spinning wheel for at least 30mins.
the printer was working perfectly on windows 8 via a usb cable, but since going to windows 10 the printer isnt recognised and the drivers wont install.
my hp photosmart 5520 e-All-in-one printer will no longer print after I downloaded and install windows 10. What should do.
View 1 RepliesI can't use my printer after I upgraded to Windows 10. My HP Envy 5530 printer is not shown in the printers and drivers in my control panel. I tried to add my printer in the control panel. It searched the network for my printer and they found it. I click on my HP printer on the screen so it can be installed, but after I click on my printer I get an error screen. I tried to disable my firewall and I still could not get my printer installed.
I downloaded the latest update of the printer software and it won't let me install it. I uninstalled my printer software and it won't let me install the downloaded software. I tried using the HP Print and Scan Dr on my computer and it hasn't offered any way. I've only gotten troubleshooting for trying to fix a printer with a wire connection. My printer is a wireless connection they don't offer any troubleshooting for a wireless printer. I don't know what to do so I can actually use my printer again. I can't find a solution by searching online. How can I get my computer to install the printer software?
New build. From a fresh install of windows 10 i try to install the drver for my IGPU Intel HD 530. each time i do that i get a BSOD with this message:
VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE igdkmd64.sys
Or sometimes it's
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXEPTION_NOT_HANDELED igdkmd64.sys
I've tried drivers from motherboard manufacturer CD, website and intel and some autodetect driver software. I always get the same behavior:
The screen start blinking several time ( black screen) before showing the BSOD then reboot and repeat it self. Even the driver downloaded by windows update have the same impact.
I've managed to install it in safe mode but when i restart in normal mode i get the same behavior.
I've tried 2 different monitors, VGA and HDMI , tried with UEFI on/off => same result.
I've tweaked once the tdr delay to 8 second, but didn't work.

I recently upgraded my SENS 900X Samsung laptop from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10. I did the easy upgrade, not a clean install. I did reformat my computer while it was in Windows 7, updated it, then upgraded to Windows 10.
When I turn on or restart my computer, I get a message which says:
I found : Link: Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 10
However, after performing step 3, I get this message: "Your power plan information isn't available. Access is denied."
Unfortunatley I am unable to install any driver for my phone; the Oneplus One. This is the error I'm getting:
"one of the installers for this device cannot perform the installation at this time"
I get the same error for ADB and Fastboot drivers.
The issue is I have a network printer selected as the default in Windows 10. I have the option "Let Windows manage my default printer" turned off. At one point randomly, the default printer goes back to the Adobe PDF as the default.
Steps taken:
* I have checked the registry settings to ensure that the options "let Windows manage my default printer" is switched off. I can confirm this.
* Switched the default printer back to the network printer and performed a reboot. The network printer remains as the default. At some point of the day it goes back to Adobe PDF.
Windows 10 downloaded to my laptop, and stated that it's ready for installation, etc. As I reboot my laptop, it just goes back into Windows 7. I can't seem to figure out why either. I also tried downloading the stand alone installer with no success either. It will just say installation failed.
View 4 RepliesI have a Dell Inspiron SE 7520 with Intel HD 4000 and HD 7730M. So I tried every possible solution to this and nothing. I uninstalled the drivers (both). Tried to use the latest drivers for both and nothing. Tried every other possible fix (Scandisk, sfc/scannow, etc) and I can't make both drivers work at the same time. Only thing I can do is make Intel 4000 work alone, but not the 7730. If I let 4000 work alone I can use my notebook, otherwise is endless reboot.
Problem happened when I was playing Fallout 4, I received a message of "Driver crashed and recovery", but then I got BSOD with endless reboot. All messages on the blue screen are about drivers. (I get diferrent messages). I reinstalled Windows 10 but it didnt fixed it. I tried Windows 7 and nothing. It seems that there isn't a fix for this, what should I do?
I did a clean install of Windows 10 on my Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet. Everything went fine. But, I wasn't able to install the driver for the internal GPS. It's a Broadcom BCM4752. The installation of all drivers I found (including Lenovo) ended with the message: "An upgrade was needed. Please reboot your system and restart the installer." Which I did - but, it didn't work!
Installing the driver under Windows 8.1 and upgrading to Windows 10 worked without problems!
My SSD is mysteriously missing a ton of space..It is my C: drive with Windows 10 Pro installed on it.
I put the SSD in, while using Windows7, anyway, I got Win 10 (clean install from scratch), Cloned from HDD to SSD, moved around the boot order (In BIOS the drive is called a Samsung EVO 250)
Only 113 of 250 showing. Where is all my space hiding!?
Figuring the paging and hibernation bits can't possibly account for 137Gb...?
I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and alll is working well except for the CD/DVD drive does not automatically recognise a CD when its inserted. With previous Windows 7 when I put a music CD in drive wiith itunes open then itunes would ask if i wanted to import CD.
The CD/DVD is recognised in Device Manager and says that it is working properly. the only way I can get the CD to be recognised after inserting the CD is by going to the Device Manager and double clicking the CD/DVD line to open 'properties'. At that point itunes asks me if i want to import.
The drive is a Samsung SH-223L.
Autoplay is ON
I have installed intel's driver detection tool and it informed me that I have a custom driver installed by the manufacturer. Acer site scanned my pc and found new driver VGA 10.18.15.4248, which i downloaded but upon installation tells me is the wrong driver for my pc. I have upgraded(haha) from win8.1 to 10, not sure if this is part of the problem. This driver was released 7/15. I ran windows driver updater and it tells me the driver I have, the only one btw, is current. I have tried to contact both Acer and Intel and get no answers.

View 9 RepliesI've just bought a fancy new curved screen HD Samsung monitor, but can't get it to work with my Windows 10 PC. Samsung tell me that they haven't released a Windows 10 driver yet, but that it should work with the basic Windows 10 driver. It doesn't.

View 5 RepliesI have a new Windows 10 system (A) which has a printer attached. I'm trying to share the printer with another computer (B) also running windows 10, both computers can see each other on the network but when B tries to look at A it gets a message that it can't access A.The printer is shared and as a far as I can see file and printer sharing is enabled but the add printer routine can't find it.
I can see A and it's shares on a W7 computer (C) on the same network without problem and it has detected and can use the printer. All computers are in the same Workgroup and both W10 machines (A+B) are in the same Homegroup.B was able to use the printer when it was attached to D, unfortunately D is now dead and replaced by A.

View 2 RepliesI am unable to print wirelessly with my Epson 545 Series printer. Works fine with old laptop Windows 7 but Win. 10 is having a problem.
View 1 Repliesi have an older lexmark monochrome laser printer. it was working fine until the most recent win 10 upgrade, now i can no longer install it as the default printer or print to it. I have removed the printer and reinstalled it. I have updated the drivers. I can see the printer in the devices list. I cannot set it as default printer. The manufacturer say it is compatible with win 10 but I cannot print to it. I would like to be able to use it as my default printer and only go to my injet when I need color copies.
