Oct 3, 2015When I plugged my Samsung camera into my PC with W7, it downloaded into a picture folder. Now I've gone to W10, I can't find out how to do this. I can't remember how I did it before as it was a long time ago.

Feb 10, 2016Even after I got my new SSD it spedup everything but when bringing up the Download folder it super slow at adding up all the file details and icons. It's weird because this only happens in this folder while browsing in file explorer. Even my picture folder loads faster.

Jan 18, 2016Okay I just upgraded to Windows 10 this morning and I had all of my downloaded files from other websites all in the desktop under a folder called software after the upgrade it opened up Windows 10 and ran me through the tutorial, and had me reboot after I change some settings. when it rebooted it took about 20 minutes said something about some new features and "we want to show you new features" and others some other junk.
Finally when I did pull the explorer back up the only thing that was there was the recycle bin, my computer, and the downloads folder which was empty I went through every inch of my hard drive I even went over it with undelete Pro and still no traces of my files they were archive files and setup files for software. when I finally did find a trace of one of my old folders, the only thing that would it would tell me was that it was unavailable and that it must've been moved or deleted I took a picture of the error message and can't find answers anywhere..

It tells me to check if the phone system is updated which it is. It is the only app I'm having problems downloading, I have download others during the day to check if the problem was related to all downloads but it isn't. It's just facebook.

I don't know if this is related or not, but if I move a file from Documents to the desktop or try to save a file to the desktop or to the folder downloads, I get an error telling me I can not do that and I need permission from the administrator, I am the administrator, I have the only account on this computer and it is an administrator account.

Oct 11, 2015In Windows in the past you could go to the windows update download site to find the updates. It doesn't seem to work for Windows 10 cumulative updates. Is there a way to find these updates? I have even tried googling the kb numbers and it only gives details but not the file to download. Aug 7, 2015Today I tried to install a game from the Windows store and it wont download. I noticed that there were 4 apps trying to update as well, but none of them were moving. When I tried to pause or cancel them, the store would freeze. I restarted my computer which allowed me to pause and cancel, but the apps still down download. Even if its just one at a time. Is it a bug? Is there a workaround?

Feb 17, 2016Picked up a Lenovo Yoga 700 the other day. Everything's been going ok. Got some windows updates last night. Today, nothing will download from the windows marketplace. Don't know if they're related. So far I've tried relogging into my windows account, disabling all security software, changing the boot mode, restarting windows update. All things I've found by searching for this issue. None of it has worked.

Any Way To Download Or Activate Standard (old) Windows Photo Viewer
Oct 25, 2015In Windows 10, is there a way to download or activate the standard (old) windows photo viewer? The Windows 10 Photos app sucks for more reasons than I can say in one message. But the biggest problem is that it refuses to let me view my photos if I am not connected to the internet. I am in Ethiopia for a few weeks and internet is spotty. I take hundreds of pictures, transfer them to my Surface 3, then try to view them and it gives me an error and won't let me view any of them. Once I have an internet connection I can view them even though they are stored locally.

Computer Running Extremely Slow After Windows Defender Download?

I've had Windows for a few months now and never really had an issue until the past few days. Overall CPU performance/speed is way down. Firefox freezes then recoops every 2-3 minutes, adobe plugin constantly crashing, even to do things offline is crazy slow.
I downloaded Windows Defender probably a week or 2 ago and that is the only big change that I know of done on this computer. I used to run Malewarebytes, SuperAnti-Spyware and Advanced Windows SystemCare. But was told that Advanced Windows SystemCare was the devil and to try TFC (temp file cleaner) & MyDefrag instead. So now i'm running;
Windows Defender
MalewareBytes (free)
SuperAnti-Spyware(free)
TFC
MyDefrag
Is this combination making my computer un usable? Or something else?

Aug 7, 2015I have read elsewhere that installing Windows 10 top of Windows 7 results in a windows.old folder, which does seem to exist on my computer.
Instead, I have, on the desktop, a folder, Windows 7, which seems to contain many of the files, etc., perhaps all such data, that were in Windows 7, such as all of the folders under Documents. I just looked at Documents in the Windows 7 folder, which even shows a file that I put into Documents in Windows 10 on 3August2015. In fact, looking at the folder,it looks just like what I see when I use the Windows 10 File Explorer from the icon on the task bar.
Windows Old Folder Delete Or Not?
Aug 4, 2015I did an in place W10 upgrade on my W8.1 machine and all seems well with the update-I haven't run into any major issues at all. However, I'm aware of the new 'windows.old' folder allowing me to roll back for 30 days since the W10 upgrade and in my case its large..very large..at 172gb.
My PC, which has a 250gb HD was almost full prior to the upgrade and I chose to 'keep nothing' during the process. As I understand it I can choose to delete this now, or indeed wait until the 30 day expiration.. so would this in effect be my 'clean install' ?
I don't remember this being quite the same with the 8/8.1 process where I DID start fresh with that install. If I delete the Windows.old file then that's a clean install really right? How close to 'clean' is it?
