Nov 9, 2015I have recently received four emails with attachments that have failed to download. The attachment icon is in place but at the bottom the notice 'download filed' appears.

View 12 RepliesI can't download anything from internet or email attachments. Have Windows 10 installed by manufacturer (not upgrade). Seem to be using Microsoft edge and can't find explorer in my program list.
View 1 RepliesI seem unable to download attachments to my emailsĀ
View 1 RepliesUsing Gmail with Windows10 mail client, attachments take very long time to download. Using gmail directly they download quickly. Appears problem is with Windows 10.
View 2 RepliesFor a while now I haven't been able to download any attachments in the mail app. Also my webmail now says, outlook (preview). So I'm not sure if that is a factor. Also the email is a hotmail.
View 1 RepliesI have never had any problems printing attachments until today, which tells me it must be a system difference (I recently downloaded Windows 10 to my computer)
When I searched it advised to open the FILE TAB, under printer CLICK PRINT OPTIONS, in the print dialog box select PRINT ATTACHED FILES BOX...
I only know of one file tab and I cannot access it from my email.
Upgraded to windows 10. Now received emails show the paperclip but when I open/read the email there is no attachment.
View 3 RepliesThis issue started yesterday. Just downloaded W/10 3-4 weeks ago. When I open an email, say with an attachment or an Ad from a supplier, a box appears in red with letters and "code" type numbers/info saying session timed out
Did not have issue with 8.1 or previous W/7 Home Premium.
Today in emails, when opening up links to documents, the document pages come up empty, without any words but with the lines, boxes and formatting and logo at top of page. What is being blocked here and what have I accidentally clicked on to disallow these to come through? Do I go into settings and look for something specific? I am in the dark here. Just happened today, fine yesterday. Windows 10, Gmail used.
View 3 RepliesWhen I reply to an email, Mail keeps adding spurious PNG files to my messages. They definitely aren't there when I hit "send" or when they're in my outbox, but they are attached to the mail before the recipient gets it. Sometimes I see them in my "Sent" file, but not always; usually the recipient cannot open them and often I cannot do so either, but when I can open them they seem to show a graphic related to the business of the original sender of the mail that I am replying to (it doesn't happen if I start a new mail instead of replying to one)
View 3 RepliesUpgraded both our Desktop & Laptop to Windows 10 in the past few months. Last week I tried to access some Outlook emails that were more than two years old, the attachments & emoticons do not appear. This is on both PC's & the same result using Edge, IE or Chrome.
I installed Windows Live Mail & now I can see all the attachments & emoticons. Forwarded some of the emails from Live Mail to myself & now in Outlook the attachments/emoticons all appear as well (all three browser Edge, IE & Chrome). So say for instance I have a 2 & 1/2 year old email in a Outlook folder that will not display attachments/emoticons but the very same email just forwarded from Live Mail to my Outlook inbox now displays all attachments & emoticons
Tried inspecting elements. See msgs regarding HTML, Java Script in Edge? Don't have either Java or Silverlight installed, guess the newer browsers are moving towards HTML.
Using Windows 10 and since last upgrade, unable to open attachments in e mail accounts.
View 1 RepliesWhenever I try to reply to or forward an email that has an attachment, I receive a notice of failure from the postmaster of Hotmail, the predecessor to Outlook. My operating system is Windows 10 and this happens when I use Edge, Internet Explorer or Google browsers. I am subscribed to Toshiba Support and they have spent many hours in multiple sessions trying to determine the cause without success.
View 4 RepliesAny type of download from any site while in Edge will not download. When I click on Download nothing happens. I'm having to open Chrome if I want to Download anything at all.
View 1 RepliesI can not download anything. when I click on anything that I want to download, it just sits there and nothing happens. no error no nothing. if I use Firefox, all is fine, no problems there.what to do?
I don't know if this is related or not, but if I move a file from Documents to the desktop or try to save a file to the desktop or to the folder downloads, I get an error telling me I can not do that and I need permission from the administrator, I am the administrator, I have the only account on this computer and it is an administrator account.
I have a fresh install, dual booting with Windows 7 and I just notice that my default download location folder for Windows 10 is set to my download folder in Windows 7.
How can I change it to be set to Windows 10.
every single browsers i use the download speed is limited to 3mb/sec But say steam/origin download at max speeds (8.1mb)
View 1 RepliesI've faced this issue many times, and I still don't know what can I do to download an audio or video from a webpage to my computer. I have JDownloader2 installed, and for example, if I add a YouTube link, it analyses it and I can download the audio or the audio+video, choosing the quality. This can be done in many, many sites.
But sometimes, this method does not work at all. For example, right now I'm trying to download the audio from here:
Egghead Van Halen - New Sounds - WNYC
Which is this one:
New York Public Radio Popup Player
If I add any of those links to JD, it won't find anything to download. I know I can record my screen or audio, but that's way too newbie. I want to download directly the audio source, without loosing quality.
I'm trying to find the place to change the download folder of Microsoft edge, because it just goes treat to my downloads folder and I want it to be a folder on my desktop.
View 3 RepliesI upgraded to Windows 10 a month ago and now have the Microsoft Edge browser. Now every time I try to download a software program (anti-virus, CD burner etc) I get a message saying I'm not connected to the internet. I have tried everything! Not only can't I download anything, when I try to install the CD creator software I just purchased I also get a message saying it can't connect to the internet. I have tried changing my firewall settings, removing my anti-virus and trying to go back to Internet Explorer 10. Nothing works. Am I going to have to reinstall Windows 7 on my computer?
View 1 RepliesIs there any way to get Microsoft Edge to ask every time where to download files like you can in IE 8 and up, instead of just setting it to 1 folder at a time.
View 1 RepliesWent to the Windows Software Download site: Windows 10 to download a new W-10 iso.
From the above site, I clicked on the "All Windows downloads" link and got this: [URL] (The copy and paste doesn't show the "https" with a red line striking it out.
The page says:

View 1 RepliesIs there a way to change the default folder for downloads in Edge? I don't really want downloads being directed to my C: which is a SSD. I would prefer to change this to my HDD. Internet Explorer allowed this.
Even if it means a manual registry edit
Is there anyway I could use adobe reader to open PDF documents in EDGE? ...
Is there a way to force Edge to download PDF Files, or open in Acrobat Reader?
We all know that IE, Firefox, etc have the option to copy the download link of an ongoing download job. But it seems Microsoft had something really great in mind and has apparently removed that feature from Microsoft Edge I wonder wheres the 'Edge'??
how to bring back the useful 'copy download link' option of an ongoing download link in Edge?
