View 1 RepliesWould it be possible to get copies of the cool icons you use on your Windows TenForums tutorial pages? Example: the disk drive with the reverse circle for system restore.
View 1 RepliesWhen I'm inside a folder and want to manually rearrange something to a different spot, I can't do this. There's not even an option in the right-click context menu to move it.
View 2 RepliesIn every version of Windows 10 I have used, including the most recent official build (and unlike every previous Windows including XP, Vista, 7, 8, etc...) my window positions on the desktop are not remembered (sticky) each time I close the window. Meaning that each time I open a window I have to either re-position it or adapt to wherever Windows has chosen to place it.
View 9 RepliesAfter an update and at other times I find when I boot up the tiles in the start menu have moved to a different position from where I had set them. I try to keep the tiles for those programmes and folders I use most at the top for easy access.
Is there a way of stopping windows 10 from re-arranging them into a different order?
What I mean is when I use photo viewer (or any program it seems) to view pictures in a folder and I then press left or right to change the displayed picture, it changes it based on the name of the file. I want it to change based on the position of the file in the folder because I like to have my photos organized by creation date. As it is now when I try to use a photo viewer it jumps around the files in the folder and is highly annoying when I'm trying to view them by order of position.
View 2 RepliesI have a third party wallpaper changer that I like, but when I updated to Win 10 every change comes out as centered, with a boarder. No matter how many times I change it to "fill" next changes to "centered". I have plated with the settings in the program but nothing works. The program is Wallpaper Master. if there is a way to set the fit in windows to default to fit instead of center.

i want change position Toast Notifications Windows from Bottom to Top.
Whenever I open a folder and position it on desktop whereI want it to be, after closing and reopening it again, it repositions. With a few opening-closings I realized that every time I open the folder anew, it gets repositioned a bit lower, diagonally. This wasn't happening on Windows 8.1. Is there any way to keep the folder in the same position every time I open it?
View 9 RepliesUntil yesterday everything was working fine. This night I shutdown my computer and this morning, when I started it up, I noticed the icons of my dekstop in the default location and with the default dimensions.
I repositioned them , I changed icon dimensions again but if I sign out/sign in , restart , shutdown/startup the computer , all my desktop icons go back to default position and default dimension.
I have the option "Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar" off.
However since the last update whenever I either copy or move a file into any folder windows puts that folder under the Recent group in the taskbar.
On Windows 7 start menu you could have a folder such as EA Games and then sub folders within. For example a folder for tiger woods golf, a folder for say Fifa and so on. It seems on Windows 10 you can only have one folder level. I have tried creating sub folders but all the shortcuts within the sub folders all appear under the one top/master folder when actually viewing the start menu. Am I correct in this observation/restriction?
View 9 RepliesI inadvertantly installed win 7 32 bit on having to reinstall Windows a few weeks back, without realising (Yes, I know...!), and have since upgraded to Windows 10 (32 bit). Some of my programs will work better under 64 bit. Once I've moved everything to a safe place, can I reinstall Windows 7 (64 bit), and then upgrade to Windows 10 (64 bit)?, and will it be easy to activate?.
View 3 RepliesThis weird issue started happening few weeks ago, when I turn on my computer in the morning, the time would still show the time before i turned off the computer at night, this happens a lot. Then i go into settings and check "Set Time automatically" sometimes the time is off by 1 hour.. it happens maybe half of the time . It thinks im in the wrong timezone or something.. even thought i have it set pacific.

View 1 RepliesShortcuts used to be indicated by a fairly unobtrusive arrow in the corner. A few days ago they changed to an overly visible white arrow in a green circle in the lower middle of the program icon. Then they changed to a gray X in the corner. Now they're back to the arrow in the green circle.
View 7 RepliesI cannot read the names of the various icons on the desktop. And I have been trying desperately to change them going to the settings etc. But no luck.
View 1 RepliesWhen I lock my new Windows 10 home edition 64bit laptop it remains on the Sky/red plane wing, I don't even have the 'love/hate this photo' option, So far I have set Bing as default search engine, cleared out the folder where the spotlight photos are stored, changed the setting to picture then back to spotlight.
View 3 RepliesI installed Windows 10 recently and when it was finished loading all the icons in the start menu are now on my desktop. Is there a way to change it back to the way it was with Windows 8.1.
View 2 RepliesI have several computers and want different desktop background pictures for each. Never been a problem until I upgraded one computer to Windows 10. Now, Windows keeps changing the wallpaper so all my computers have the same desktop background picture.
View 1 RepliesI recently upgraded one of our Windows 7 Pro computers to Windows 10 Pro. The computer has several printers attached to it. One HP networked printer and two Zebra label printers that are local via USB. Both of the local label printers are being shared through the computer so that others on the local network can use them as well.
The issue I am having since the upgrade is that when any of the other users on the network prints to one of the label printers, it changes the default printer on the hosting computer to that label printer. I can manually change the default printer on that computer back to the networked HP, but the next time some other user prints to one of the shared label printers, the default printer on the hosting computer switches the default back to that label printer.
I already turned off the Windows 10 option to manage the default printers. I've updated just about every driver I can think of, reinstalled printers, un-shared/re-shared the label printers, ran Windows updates, etc.
I'm trying to find a way to change my Recycle bin icon to a Mac Pro, because, well, I can. I know you can do it on OS X, but I haven't found a way in Windows.
