View 3 RepliesWhen installing Google Earth , I get the message "error 1603". I tried many times to (completely) uninstall then reinstall GE, with the same result.
View 4 RepliesHaving had google earth on windows 10 for some months,it stopped working . I tried to uninstall but that did not work,so I downloaded google again but still no result.Error 1603 keeps coming up.
View 2 RepliesI have a new Netgear USB wireless router I want to install. When I attempt to run the Netgear Windows10-version installation software for the Driver, the installation crashes with the "Windows Install Error 1603" notification. I cannot figure out what this means, except something to do with the Installer being unable to load the driver. The router IS rrecognized in Device Manager, but with a yellow warning that "Windows could not load the driver".
EVERYTHING else on my desktop is working just great, not a problem anywhere.
Netgear Live Chat support is stumped; they told me to get another unit. Well, I have done that already! The strange thing is that BOTH these routers are INSTANTLY recognized by my laptop running Windows 10 just like my Desktop is. The problem AIN'T the router! Something in Win 10 on my Desktop isn't right, and I need to find out what to do to fix it.
I was downloading Windows 10 32-bit using the Media Creation Tool to my 16 GB pendrive which is empty. Right when it reached 100% it displayed "Something Happened". I found the temp file which I believe it downloaded, its called BIT52D1.
View 3 RepliesHave tried finding a solution on the internet but so far no luck.. I keep getting BSOD when downloading (and only when downloading) files. L1C63x64.sys ...I have attached the dump files.
Everything seems to point at my network adapter driver. Which is from Atheros. Alas they do not have drivers for Windows 10. Anything I can do here? I already tried driver verifier and it doesn't seem to be a 3rd party problem. Also did a memory check and it's not that either..
Uploaded the correct zip ....
just installed GTA V on my PC. I keep getting the 0xc00007b error whenever I try to run the game. I have tried a lot of fixes but to no avail.
View 9 RepliesAs of lately, my computer will crash randomly while playing mostly graphically intensive games. I can do normal things on my PC all day long and play low end games with pretty much no problem. As soon as I play GTA 5, BF4, or something of that graphic capability the application will crash. Sometimes within a few minutes, but mostly within a 15-30 min period.
Quite frequently, the Runescape Client (queue jokes) window will randomly close too. I kind of feel like this is the same issue going on. However, with this being much less graphically intense, it happens less frequently or takes longer for a crash to occur.
99% of the time I get the same 0xC0000005 error (means the program has attempted to access memory that it shouldn't. ), on rare occasions it will BSOD with a 1A MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error or a 4E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT.
This has become extremely annoying and I don't quite know where to pinpoint the problem, and all of these seem to be memory related issues. Due to the fact that it mostly happens with graphically intense games, I want to point my finger at my video card.
I thought about stress testing my video card to see if it will crash again. I don't really know how to strictly test the memory of a video card, but that was my best guess. Below are the troubleshooting tips I have tried, as well as links to pictures from Event Viewer, Bluescreenview, and debug reports from WinDBG for the 1A and 4E errors are attached.
Troubleshooting steps I have done are:
Tried reverting back to the last "most stable" driver for my GPU (Clean Install)Updated video drivers to the latest version (Clean install)Checked my SSD for errors using software from the vendor (Don't believe this is an issue because two games are on different disks, and the same thing happens)Checked my RAM with memtest86 for 24 hours (Did this twice now)Scanned for malware, no threats foundUsed CCleaner to clean crap off of my computerEnsured Windows was fully up-to-date with the latest critical and optional patches.
When I try to record a game using the Game DVR functionality, it give me an error saying i do not meet the hardware requirements. i have a GTX 980.
View 4 RepliesMy games simply crash to desktop without any warning, it only occurs with demanding titles, such as BF4 and the recent Black Desert Online, hell even with Warframe.
I did some research and there was some mentions of memory sticks, but I've run a memtest on my memory just before re-installing my windows and there were no errors with 8 passes.
I did do a fresh install of windows quite recently but this issue existed before the re-install as well. I am thinking maybe my graphic card is faulty?
I have reinstalled java and have java 8 u 60 64bit. i have set factory default on my router. i have restarted the computer and minecraft.
Oother places say minecraft can't communicate with itself, although java is allowed in firewall both private and public..

Been recently encountering BSoDs with KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED when gaming, specifically the open beta of Monster Hunter Online. Happens after around 2 hours or so. Doesn't happen with other games and has not happened before.
Attached my minidump and required information.
So while gaming and browsing my computer will just randomly shut off for no real apparent reason but i am receiving a bugcheck code of 0, i posted the files below....
Update:
While looking through the even files i found that most of the time this would show up
- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
- <System>
<Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="{331C3B3A-2005-44C2-AC5E-77220C37D6B4}" />
<EventID>41</EventID>
[Code] .....
These are the errors that I am receiving that results in pc shut off and no restart...
Did a cpu stress test and just after about a minute my computer turned off so im guessing its that but I am not sure the steps i have to do to see whats wrong with it...
The issue with by BSOD is I don't know what it is triggered by, it happens when gaming, sometimes when I watch streams and other times when I just use my PC to browse reddit and other sites.

Currently, whenever I am playing or starting up any online game (League of Legends, Maplestory etc.) My laptop will freeze with the audio becoming an incredibly loud buzzing sound, often saying that my headphones became unplugged even though they hadn't. When this happens the only way to get the computer to respond is to hard reset using the power button. This issue has persisted for a while now, and I have previously reported it to those over at sevenforums, although sadly that didnt end up getting resolved. Here is the link to that thread:
BSOD During Gaming(Mostly Online) nvlddmkm.sys,dxgkrnl.sys,dxgmms1.sys - Windows 7 Forums
BSOD usually happens in more graphic intensive games like GTA5 or Elite: Dangerous. I haven't gotten it in games like League of Legends or Hearthstone, which are less intense.
2 most recent Minidump files and the debug file are attached below.

I did a bit of research and this seems to have been an issue for a while, or has been in the past. Was upgrading to windows 10, I first had to restart my pc cause it was initially stuck on that preparing to install problem with the green bar being stuck around 25%.
It then got through that and began the installation process with the big circle and rebooting process. However around 91% when I last looked at it it was just black screen, this stayed this way for about 3-4 hours. I then decided to reboot the pc and it has now booted to the login screen. Is this a known bug or could there be a possible issue?
The problem seems a bit different as some people I saw have had to fall back on PC restore points etc. So not sure if it installed or what could be the problem.
Also side note, I upgraded my pc when windows 10 first publically released, but rolled back because I had about 5min shutdown times.
I have reported it (and others) on the Nvidia forums. Doesn't seem to happen for light gaming for 5 minutes or so (and of course won't happen after playing solitaire) but after heavy gaming (Battlefield Hardline, the free Star Wars beta) for 30 minutes or so, after exiting most of the start menu is often blank. Takes a reboot to get it back.
I do not believe it's corruption issues on my OS or hardware issues. Things I've done:
1) SFC/scannow no issues
2) Ran this "Get-appxpackage -all *shellexperience* -packagetype bundle |% {add-appxpackage -register -disabledevelopmentmode ($_.installlocation + "appxmetadataappxbundlemanifest.xml")} to reregister icons.
3) Did a rebuild of the icon cache
4) Did extensive memory tests - all passed.
5) Turned off "game mode" in Antivirus
I installed my Windows 10 and everything was going smoothly. It has installed 2 updates from the day I've installed it and everything was ok. Recently updates KB3081448 and KB3081449 came out but it doesn't want to download them. Instead it gives me error 0x800703f1. My drivers are up to date and my PC is clean from viruses. I also tried installing them manually. It failed after step 2 of the installation...
View 9 RepliesIs there any way to Uninstall Xbox app & Live Gaming from Win10? When I try to install/run game 'Halo2' on Win10 its refuses saying there is already a Live Gaming account running (Halo2 uses Live Gaming itself). I suspect the Xbox app (which also uses Live Gaming) is to blame for this. As I don't use or need the Xbox app can it be removed?
View 1 RepliesMy OS crashed each time I play games like FIfa 15 or CS GO. Had the issue when I was on win 8 and has now persisted in windows 10 as well. So first the the output from graphics card disappears afer 4-5 mins of usage and then PC freezes with some looping noise from the speakers.

I tried Windows 10 and found that Guild Wars 2 had such bad lag that it was unplayable. I had a ping of 1360 as one point when it had been in the 60-80 range previously. Internet web pages took painfully long to load. I have an excellent ISP and have never had complaints about internet access before. In searching forums I read that Window 10 has issues with data packet loss, excessive lag, etc. I went back to Windows 7 and this fixed the lag issue with Guild Wars 2 and Web Pages load instantly again, so I know Windows 10 was causing the problem. Windows 10 is safe for online gaming yet?
View 3 RepliesI am unable to watch a movie or look at youtube videos when i am gaming at the same time. The symptom is that the video laggs but the audio is fine sometimes. its like its dropping frames but when i highlight chrome that i use the problem goes away. what could cause this. The problem started right after i installed windows 10.
I am using mpc-hc to watch movies and i am using chrome to watch youtube. I have tried internet explorer but the problem is still there.
Using windows 10, gtx 970 and 16 gigs of ram so my hardware can handle it.
Trying to record KSP with the screen recorder, but it will only record for exactly 10 seconds then say 'There's nothing to record. Play some more and try again.' I have tried it windowed and then on a couple other games, same thing. Graphics driver is up to date.MVI 4064 -

View 3 RepliesI have a Surface Pro that will not download updates from Microsoft. When I check for updates they are found and show what they are but they will not download. The progress bar shows 0% and does not move.I have tried the download troubleshooter and it shows that it could not identify the problem.I use Edge for browser if that makes any difference. One of the downloads is a hardware download dated 7/28/2015..I checked my history and I have not installed any updated since 12/13/2015.
