I tried setting the resolution smaller, but that just made the screen smaller and objects are still hidden. When I remove the check mark from full screen, the screen is to small to find the hidden objects. The game worked fine on my 19" monitor, but not this larger one.

Feb 2, 2016I have a 240GB SSD so I like to be careful about space allocated to my games. With Steam games it is easy to just copy the game folder to an external HD when I'm not playing it then moved it back when I fancy playing it.
However, I purchased Rise of the Tomb Raider from the Windows Store and that option doesn't seem doable - the game installed itself into a folder inside C:/Program Files/WindowsApps which isn't viewable unless I taken ownership (I already messed up all my metro apps doing this but fortunately I had a recent disk image to recover from it).
Any way to either change the location of the game installation or an easy way to backup and restore the game files?
Gaming :: Low Res Game Coming Out Of Sleep Mode
Oct 7, 2015Recently upgraded a friends computer to windows 10 and we're running into an annoying issue while playing a low resolution (800x600?) game. The game boots up fine and everything is great until we pause and come out of sleep mode when the whole image on the screen is compressed to half the screen with inverted colors (this same thing happens when the windows key is hit to go back to the desktop and try to go back to the game). The image isnt frozen, you can hear the sounds and see things lighting up. The actions are working on the whole screen but the image is compressed to the left half of the screen. So it seems to me that there's some software issue involving the graphics card since the computer is having issues switching between resolutions?

Oct 10, 2015I guess its best to start with the fact i have a triple monitor set up all running off a nvidia 970 video card. 2 24 inch monites left/right and a 32 in monitor in the center. When ever i try to play battlefield 1942, the older sim city, red alert 2/yuri's revenge etc since upgrading to windows 10. the game seems like its playing in fullscreen. But as soon as i go to the left or right edge of the screen my curser comes out of game, and i select what ever the mouse is over dropping me from game. i just played starwars battle front beta for the last 3 hours so i know its not an issue with game launched from origin, and probably related to win10 and older games.

I've been playing tons of my regular games.. Battlefield 4, ArmA 3/ ArmA 2 DayZ Mod ( OverPoch ) , Insurgency, etc.. mostly FPS and survival games.. lately in ArmA 2 I've been getting this lag/freezing and the audio will be like robotic till the freeze stops and the game runs like normal again..
this happens throughout play sessions in ArmA 2 DayZ mod and has happened like once or twice in Battlefield 4 but hasn't really happened again in awhile.. I'm trying to see if there is a fix to this or if it's just an ArmA issue or Windows 10 and ArmA compatibility issue..

Store Giving Error 0x80072eff - Server Stumbled
Jul 30, 2015I'd really like to see what the store has to offer but, I can't access it at all. It just gives me the "server stumbled" and the error code.
I also can't use my micorsoft account at all. Any pre-installed app that you can link an account to fails. I'm really at a loss.
I looked up some of the error codes and found plenty of companies willing to let you pay to "fix" the error.

Feb 26, 2016So, this is a really weird problem I've only JUST started to encounter. I went to go overclock my CPU, as I've been playing FF14 a lot these past few months and figured an overclock would work out with the events taking massive chunks out of my framerate whenever I go near a populated area.
So, the Overclock failed, and I had to restart my computer and go back into the BIOS to reset everything to factory. This is where it gets weird. Now, whenever I boot up my PC it'll go into Windows but give me a 0xc0000225 Error. But, when I go into BIOS and go into the boot menu and boot my SSD from there, it works flawlessly. It's not a /massive' inconvenience I suppose, but it's still baffling.
I've got an Asus Z97-A Motherboard.

BSOD :: Starting Fullscreen Game From IDE Error 0xD1
Sep 22, 2015Many BSOD's happened while I'm developing and testing a game. I'm using Intellij IDEA community edition. The game is using lwjgl 3, which in turn uses GLFW 3 and OpenGL. The BSOD always happened, while I was editing one of the source files, and quickly launched the game from the IDE. The game is configured to start in fullscreen. BSOD never happened when it launched in windowed mode.
The error code seems to be 0xD1, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Nov 12, 2015As of lately, my computer will crash randomly while playing mostly graphically intensive games. I can do normal things on my PC all day long and play low end games with pretty much no problem. As soon as I play GTA 5, BF4, or something of that graphic capability the application will crash. Sometimes within a few minutes, but mostly within a 15-30 min period.
Quite frequently, the Runescape Client (queue jokes) window will randomly close too. I kind of feel like this is the same issue going on. However, with this being much less graphically intense, it happens less frequently or takes longer for a crash to occur.
99% of the time I get the same 0xC0000005 error (means the program has attempted to access memory that it shouldn't. ), on rare occasions it will BSOD with a 1A MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error or a 4E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT.
This has become extremely annoying and I don't quite know where to pinpoint the problem, and all of these seem to be memory related issues. Due to the fact that it mostly happens with graphically intense games, I want to point my finger at my video card.
I thought about stress testing my video card to see if it will crash again. I don't really know how to strictly test the memory of a video card, but that was my best guess. Below are the troubleshooting tips I have tried, as well as links to pictures from Event Viewer, Bluescreenview, and debug reports from WinDBG for the 1A and 4E errors are attached.
Troubleshooting steps I have done are:
Tried reverting back to the last "most stable" driver for my GPU (Clean Install)Updated video drivers to the latest version (Clean install)Checked my SSD for errors using software from the vendor (Don't believe this is an issue because two games are on different disks, and the same thing happens)Checked my RAM with memtest86 for 24 hours (Did this twice now)Scanned for malware, no threats foundUsed CCleaner to clean crap off of my computerEnsured Windows was fully up-to-date with the latest critical and optional patches.
Gaming :: Games Crash To Desktop Without Error?
Oct 13, 2015My games simply crash to desktop without any warning, it only occurs with demanding titles, such as BF4 and the recent Black Desert Online, hell even with Warframe.
I did some research and there was some mentions of memory sticks, but I've run a memtest on my memory just before re-installing my windows and there were no errors with 8 passes.
I did do a fresh install of windows quite recently but this issue existed before the re-install as well. I am thinking maybe my graphic card is faulty?

BSOD :: Kmode Exception Not Handled Error When Gaming
Dec 18, 2015Been recently encountering BSoDs with KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED when gaming, specifically the open beta of Monster Hunter Online. Happens after around 2 hours or so. Doesn't happen with other games and has not happened before.
