View 6 RepliesTrying to record KSP with the screen recorder, but it will only record for exactly 10 seconds then say 'There's nothing to record. Play some more and try again.' I have tried it windowed and then on a couple other games, same thing. Graphics driver is up to date.MVI 4064 -
View 1 RepliesI plan on buying a new computer and want to transfer my Windows 10 App Game Statistics for Hearts and Chess to my new computer. Where does Windows 10 store these game statistics so I can save the folder.
View 3 RepliesDesktop Audio Device is set to my sound card, but it doesn't work. Shadowplay works fine
Microphone is disabled, there is no mic
Shadowplay's volume is too quiet. Is it because I'm using sound card?
OBS Studio and turning up the game capture server in the Windows volume mixer solved my issues respectively
In my PC I have a AMD A10-6800K and a HD 6950. My problem is that I want to be able to record game clips with my computer BUT my 6950 doesn't support it, but my 6800K APU does... I was wondering if I could record with the APU but still use the 6950.

I have two hidden object games that has a screen that is to large and some of the objects are out of site on the sides. I tried setting the resolution smaller, but that just made the screen smaller and objects are still hidden. When I remove the check mark from full screen, the screen is to small to find the hidden objects. The game worked fine on my 19" monitor, but not this larger one.
View 2 RepliesThis has happened twice now since upgrading to windows 10 and now it is starting to give tough time...
View 1 RepliesTesting the xbox game DVR records great but for some reason does not record sound. Also will not work if a game is in full screen mode only works in windowed mode.
View 5 RepliesI have a 240GB SSD so I like to be careful about space allocated to my games. With Steam games it is easy to just copy the game folder to an external HD when I'm not playing it then moved it back when I fancy playing it.
However, I purchased Rise of the Tomb Raider from the Windows Store and that option doesn't seem doable - the game installed itself into a folder inside C:/Program Files/WindowsApps which isn't viewable unless I taken ownership (I already messed up all my metro apps doing this but fortunately I had a recent disk image to recover from it).
Any way to either change the location of the game installation or an easy way to backup and restore the game files?
Recently upgraded a friends computer to windows 10 and we're running into an annoying issue while playing a low resolution (800x600?) game. The game boots up fine and everything is great until we pause and come out of sleep mode when the whole image on the screen is compressed to half the screen with inverted colors (this same thing happens when the windows key is hit to go back to the desktop and try to go back to the game). The image isnt frozen, you can hear the sounds and see things lighting up. The actions are working on the whole screen but the image is compressed to the left half of the screen. So it seems to me that there's some software issue involving the graphics card since the computer is having issues switching between resolutions?
View 2 RepliesWhen I try to record a game using the Game DVR functionality, it give me an error saying i do not meet the hardware requirements. i have a GTX 980.
View 4 RepliesI guess its best to start with the fact i have a triple monitor set up all running off a nvidia 970 video card. 2 24 inch monites left/right and a 32 in monitor in the center. When ever i try to play battlefield 1942, the older sim city, red alert 2/yuri's revenge etc since upgrading to windows 10. the game seems like its playing in fullscreen. But as soon as i go to the left or right edge of the screen my curser comes out of game, and i select what ever the mouse is over dropping me from game. i just played starwars battle front beta for the last 3 hours so i know its not an issue with game launched from origin, and probably related to win10 and older games.
View 1 RepliesI have upgraded my OS to Windows 10 which has DirectX version 12.
After upgrading, I installed GTA4 game in it. Now directx version changed to 10.1.
How can I get directX 12 back?
Whenever I try to run any game on my PC after 1 minute, everything freezes and I have to reboot. I've tried rolling back my graphics drivers but that didn't work either.
View 9 RepliesRecently I've been on Windows 10 Pro x64 bit, I did a clean install after the free upgrade and loving 10 so far..
I've been playing tons of my regular games.. Battlefield 4, ArmA 3/ ArmA 2 DayZ Mod ( OverPoch ) , Insurgency, etc.. mostly FPS and survival games.. lately in ArmA 2 I've been getting this lag/freezing and the audio will be like robotic till the freeze stops and the game runs like normal again..
this happens throughout play sessions in ArmA 2 DayZ mod and has happened like once or twice in Battlefield 4 but hasn't really happened again in awhile.. I'm trying to see if there is a fix to this or if it's just an ArmA issue or Windows 10 and ArmA compatibility issue..
My Specs:
Windows 10 Pro x64 bit - Clean install
MSI GTX 970 4gb OC
i7 4770k 3.50GHz
MSI B85-G41 PC Mate(MS-7850)
111GB ADATA SSD S510 120GB (SSD) - for My OS
465GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKS-00UU3A0 (SATA) - Programs
1863GB Seagate ST2000DM001-1CH164 (SATA) - Games
16gb DDR3 ram
1000w PSU
I have updated my onboard sound drivers ( Realtek) to the very latest along with my chipset..
I have reported it (and others) on the Nvidia forums. Doesn't seem to happen for light gaming for 5 minutes or so (and of course won't happen after playing solitaire) but after heavy gaming (Battlefield Hardline, the free Star Wars beta) for 30 minutes or so, after exiting most of the start menu is often blank. Takes a reboot to get it back.
I do not believe it's corruption issues on my OS or hardware issues. Things I've done:
1) SFC/scannow no issues
2) Ran this "Get-appxpackage -all *shellexperience* -packagetype bundle |% {add-appxpackage -register -disabledevelopmentmode ($_.installlocation + "appxmetadataappxbundlemanifest.xml")} to reregister icons.
3) Did a rebuild of the icon cache
4) Did extensive memory tests - all passed.
5) Turned off "game mode" in Antivirus
Is there any way to Uninstall Xbox app & Live Gaming from Win10? When I try to install/run game 'Halo2' on Win10 its refuses saying there is already a Live Gaming account running (Halo2 uses Live Gaming itself). I suspect the Xbox app (which also uses Live Gaming) is to blame for this. As I don't use or need the Xbox app can it be removed?
View 1 RepliesMy OS crashed each time I play games like FIfa 15 or CS GO. Had the issue when I was on win 8 and has now persisted in windows 10 as well. So first the the output from graphics card disappears afer 4-5 mins of usage and then PC freezes with some looping noise from the speakers.

I tried Windows 10 and found that Guild Wars 2 had such bad lag that it was unplayable. I had a ping of 1360 as one point when it had been in the 60-80 range previously. Internet web pages took painfully long to load. I have an excellent ISP and have never had complaints about internet access before. In searching forums I read that Window 10 has issues with data packet loss, excessive lag, etc. I went back to Windows 7 and this fixed the lag issue with Guild Wars 2 and Web Pages load instantly again, so I know Windows 10 was causing the problem. Windows 10 is safe for online gaming yet?
View 3 RepliesI am unable to watch a movie or look at youtube videos when i am gaming at the same time. The symptom is that the video laggs but the audio is fine sometimes. its like its dropping frames but when i highlight chrome that i use the problem goes away. what could cause this. The problem started right after i installed windows 10.
I am using mpc-hc to watch movies and i am using chrome to watch youtube. I have tried internet explorer but the problem is still there.
Using windows 10, gtx 970 and 16 gigs of ram so my hardware can handle it.
Suddenly, sound recording stopped working in my Windows 10 machine. This was working pretty good in Windows 7. Later I upgraded it to Windows 10. It was working well initially. I even tested it with Cortana. Now, when I try to record, it doesn't work.
Tried with another set of headphones. => Not working
Tried with Ubuntu => Not working
Tried the same headphones in another machine => Didn't try
I have been trying to record streaming video from a site using several addons for firefox when I try to caputre the stream or download the url it only captures downloads a few mins of the stream and then another url will show up from the site that is only a mb or 2mb and it will repeat this ad nausium for the lenth of the video so there are hundreds if not thousands of urls that are like only 30 seconds to a few mins of the film... I am wondering if there is anyway to record the stream in these cases?what I mean by getting hundreds of url's while streaming video
View 1 RepliesWindows 10's GameDVR looks very promising, and other than this issue I've been having, works really well.
For some reason, it is not recording any audio at all. I'd like to to record both in-game audio as well as my microphone, but it only records the video. I have audio recording enabled.
I've got the old volume mixer back, but it does not have the drop-down for inputs? With 4 various inputs now being forced drill down to the speaker cpl every time you want to set volume/mute/unmute an input, well that's a truly ridiculous regression in usability, I don''t suppose there is a reg hack to get the drop back??
I really don't get how things like this pass committee, "all in favor of putting the most useless volume mixer since dos in our flagship product?? Ok, the eyes have it, now get back to work we've got a lot removing., diminishing and disabling to do before this "upgrade" is ready!!"
I recently updated to windows 10 and the previous day using 7, shadowplay worked flawlessly. I've noticed nvidia capture server does not show up in the volume mixer anymore. I've updated everything and reinstalled drivers. Video still records just fine but upon playback there is no mic or game audio with/without desktop capture enabled. I'm using gtx660, and an AMD fx 8350
