Every time I log into Windows 10 I get a USB connected sound only after upgrading my ssd to a bigger ssd and putting fresh copy of Windows 10... even when I unplug everything ....

Just downloaded windows 10 and it freezes or reboots every time I try and login in for the first time, if u click on anything else on this screen like this isn't me it freezes as well, any work around this to maybe login or revert back to windows 7 without being able to log on?

View 1 RepliesEverytime I do something like open a new tab/website, or click on something that has to load, my audio on whatever I'm listening to lags and has that loud buzz sound.
This lag/buzz sound happens randomly when I listen to things on youtube without clicking on things too.
At the moment I have a Local login and I am considering changing to a Microsoft login. If I do, does this mean that when my PC starts from a boot, that instead of the pin that I use to login to my account on the PC, I will be asked to login with both my Microsoft account username and password? If I make a mistake will I be locked out of my PC?
View 3 RepliesYesterday I installed Windows 10 Professional on my Acer Aspire V5-573G laptop. I installed the English (US) version even though I live in the Netherlands. When I corrected the time I have set it to the correct timezone (see screenshot) but it has the wrong time connected to it. As seen on the screenshot the time displayed is 21:49 even though when I took it, it was actually 13:49. Off course I could manually change the time, but I was wondering if maybe this is part of some bigger problem and if there is a better way to fix it.

Now if i want to plug my earphones to the left side of the computer where the audio jack socket is located the sound does not transfer to my earphones except i will change the default sound device from speakers to headphones.
How can i set it to automatically when i plugin my headphones/earphones/external speaker automatically transfer the sound to this device without changing the settings?
I just bought this sound card and installed drivers for Windows 10. (and a crapton of bloatware with UI of Win XP media player...)
Everything works well except one thing: when I change the sound (or mute) I don't see Windows 10 volume bar. I mean these:
The sound itself changes, but there is no indicator. Is there a way to fix that?

View 3 RepliesI was previously on Windows 7 and upgraded to 10 when the notifications came out last month. In W7 I was able to open the SOUND RECORDER program
and then record sounds from the video that was playing through the internet explorer I was using at that time. It did NOT matter which internet explorer I was using, be it IE or CHROME or FIREFOX, etc. I was previously able to open a video, for example youtube, and then record the sound that was playing into the SOUND RECORDER program, and then save that file on my desktop as a WMA.
I have not been able to find the SOUND RECORDER program in Windows 10. Is it gone? I've tried downloading a couple freebie programs that are similar to it, but they're not recording the sounds either. So now I'm thinking maybe Windows 10 bypassed or simply disregarded my sound card altogether, ? Is that a possibility?
I just installed the most recent windows 10 tech preview last night; but my sound blaster pci express sound card did not get installed correctly or something because i am getting no sound at all. I roll everything back to the old setup.
View 9 RepliesThis has never happened to me before upgrading to windows 10. 2-3 times a day my internet connection simply turns off for no reason. If I unplug the ethernet cable and plug it back again it works fine like normal again. This seems pretty weird and I don't know why is it happening.
PS: I have a laptop and my internet actually works fine on my brother's windows 7 laptop even when it turns off for me, so it's windows 10 problem.

View 1 RepliesEver since build 10130, Windows Search claims to not have access to the internet, yet my laptop DOES. I checked if my internet wasn't kidding me by searching up random shit on Google Chrome, and it turned out that god dam Windows Search was lying. I DID have access to the internet. Plus, when I try to search for an app on my PC, the Search Menu's background is just blank- nothing shows up! Tons of updates later- the problem still exists. I hope I'm not alone.

I am having trouble with my DNS. I can connect to the Internet. I can ping all devices from my NIC to the default gateway, I can even ping other networks if I have the IP address. This includes Google's 8.8.8.8, but when I try to ping URL..., it cannot find the host. I have tried virtually everything I know and what my IT network professional friend knows. I have all the correct drivers. This all started about a month ago when I lost my LAN connection after a Windows 10 update. Then a couple weeks later I lost WiFi. Here is what I have tried so far:
-Any and all ipconfig commands
-Set Google DNS as my DNS
-Full reformat with clean install of Windows 10
-New wireless adapter (Sabrent NT_WLAC 802.11ac USB WiFi adapter)
-New Ethernet cable
-Uninstall and reinstall drivers for LAN and WiFi
My office LAN is p-p LAN, every time i want to use the printer connected other PC on LAN, i must enter credentials to connect, how to disable it? Both 2 PCs are Windows 10 Pro, turned off password protected sharing and turned on file and printer sharing.
View 2 RepliesRecently my laptop has a boot error and auto recovery and maintenances could not solve the issue. So I reset the laptop but kept the files and now it boots perfectly fine however none of the internet is working. It shows that I am connected to the wifi but there is no access whatsoever. I even uninstaled my network adapters and even tried a wired conmection and everything seems to not work. All my other devices are connected to the router perfectly.
I am using a lenovo y50 touch with windows ten 64bit.
I have already tried updating drivers, deleting temp files, disabling firewall (antivirus was removed from reset), and already tried the ip config release and renew.
I've scoured the web and pulled together enough info to enable me to create an incoming VPN connection on our dedicated P2P file "server" which runs Windows 8.1 Pro. On my Windows 10 Pro laptop, I've also created an outgoing VPN connection to the server. When I click the "Connect" button in "Network and Internet" Settings, the connection is established immediately with no error messages and a resulting status of "Connected". On the server side, the incoming connection also shows connected. Sounds like success, but no matter what I try, I can't find a way to actually access any of the drives/files on the server.
I expected the server to show up in the list of "Network" computers, thereby enabling me to map a drive to the shared folder(s), but no such luck. I made sure when I was creating the incoming connection on the server that I enabled "File and Printer Sharing", as well. Also, FYI, the server's WAN connection is on a static IP, and I've done the necessary port forwarding to the server's internal IP address. The one especially odd thing is that when I view the connection details on my laptop, it shows a subnet address of 255.255.255.255, and I don't have a clue whether or not that's correct. There's oddly little information that I can find that describes all of the possible entries that are required in the many and various dialogues that are presented while trying to setup the VPN.
I can't change my profile location to private, and I can't make my computer register that it's connected with either my WiFi or my Ethernet. I've looked through the steps posted here, but to no avail. I don't even have the NetworkList key in my registry! I am online with Firefox and Chrome just fine, but Edge won't connect, nor can I connect to the Store. I did a wipe and reinstall a few days ago, partially to try and resolve this issue, and partially to resolve some other issues dating back to the Insider builds, but this problem is still happening. I'm at my wits end, and I can't even connect to my wife's PC to transfer files. I've enabled network discovery and file sharing on public networks, but that didn't even make a difference. Also, since I reinstalled Windows, I've been unable to activate it, but I think that is tied to this network problem. It's like all the new apps and features won't recognize the connection. I'm not running any security software besides Windows Defender, so that shouldn't be an issue.

1. Google and Yahoo searches do work but
2. Clicking on a search result produces a something like "This page cannot be displayed".
3. The problem goes away in Safe Mode.
4. I have run the following commands in batch mode:

ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int reset resetlog.txt
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
5. Other devices have no problem with the router.
6. I have scanned the computer with Malwarebytes, Windows Defender and Avast.
