Since updating to Windows 10 I have lost many of the normal graphics found on pages and on my browsers. The color is blue and some boxes that require a check are not visible unless you happen to run your mouse over them. Internet Explorer and Firefox have also lost most of the graphics; now all the artwork on the pages look like just bare bone versions of the pages when I saw them on Windows 7! This is affecting both my PC and my laptop!
I have an issue which has been going on since beta win 10. If i have a minimized window open on the desk top I can not view it unless i minimize all other windows. It seems once my cursor crosses the top of the taskbar the window I am trying to get to closes, only way to get to it is to minimize all other windows and then I got get to it and then click on it? Same thing if I want to change the volume if I click on the taskbar the volume window will close once the cursor crosses the top of the taskbar? If i right click on the volume icon then I get the volume mixer and I am able to get to it to adjust? I keep thinking this is a bug that will get fixed, but never does.
I just got a new Dell computer with Win10. when I minimize a page an icon appears at the bottom of the screen in the taskbar (?) and a thumbnail picture appears at the right side of the screen. I don't want the thumbnails and I haven't found a way to stop them with out stopping all thumbnails. I just don't want minimized pages to show up on my desktop.
i selected the optoin Auto hide but when ever i am on a maximized program like chrome for example my taskbar does not pop up i have to minimize the program to get it to pop up and that gets anoying is there a way to make it pop up when ever i move my mouse down to it.
I have a HP Notebook 15-ac134ns Windows 10 Home 64bits from 3 months ago. When I run some programs (at the moment I have detected Firefox, Chrome, Teamviewer, Windows Live MSN, and some others) installed by me, they work normally, but when I minimize them they don't go to taskbar, I see like the windows goes up and dissappears. But program keeps running, so I can locate in running processes.
Then I have to find Explorer process, kill it, and firefow shows up in task bar for a few seconds, so I can click on it and it is accessible again in the very same point it was before.
I have tried to locate the "missing" programs with Alt+Tab or in different desktops, but not available.
I have also tried to pin and unpin the programs to taskbar, but same.
i noticed that after updating to build 10547 i cant play music and minise the app anymore. this but happened a while ago back on windows 8 and it just went away i think but its very annoying, i have to use vlc to listen to music now and i like groove music
I need Windows 10 to boot directly to a program. Whatever I try .vbs, .bat or just shortcut in Startup folder, it always starts minimized to task bar. When I click on the task bar it gets blown up full screen.
Once I turn off the Tablet mode it starts good, maximized.
How can I solve this so it boot in Tablet mode AND start the program in proper size?
NOTE: I use touch screen but I dont think it maters.
Whenever I use my surface after charging all night I get white screens from apps that are minimized and edge doesn't respond. Ive actually got to close out all those windows and start over. SP3 ... Windows 10 ...
On my desktop, when I run a music app in Windows 10, say Plug radio or Tunein, it stops playing music after a second or two of being minimized. If I maximize, it starts playing again. If I change the volume with the keyboard, and the little pop up window with volume, artist, song info, etc. pops up, it starts playing again, but as soon as it fades away, it stops again.
I checked under Task Manager, and the .exe file for the app suspends when you minimize it, and starts running again when you maximize it.
I have a laptop that I also upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1, and it doesn't do this. I can minimize the same apps and they continue to play. When the desktop was Windows 8.1, I didn't have this problem.
I have an HP Pavilion DV6 3203tx with dual (Intel/AMD) graphics. I use my tv as a second monitor, but after upgrading to Win 10 this is no longer recognised.
HP does not provide specific drivers for this notebook for Win 10.
I uninstalled the AMD drivers and the ATI software and then downloaded and installed the latest CCC software and drivers from AMD. (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 Drivers Download for Windows 10, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP).
I have the Administrator account on my computer. I am the only User, no other accounts have been made. So why is it from time to time I find I am blocked from doing something as I do not have permission? Who else but me fas permission? Examples include permission refused for accessing a particular file (not one requiring a password, which would be understandable) and particularly being refused to permission to save somewhere (nowhere 'special') so I have to save to a folder other than the one I had chosen, or selected by an app.
Also, as I am also always the Administrator, why do I have to opt in to what I am in the first place as with Cmd prompt? I used to get apps not launching because I was Administrator, and the only way out I discovered was to reset.
I have just upgraded windows 7 ultimate to windows 10 pro.My laptop has become significantly slow and I am unable to install graphics. When I try to install nvidia graphics, it says to install intel first. When I try to install Intel graphics, it says, 'The computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software'.
I recently updated to windows 10 from windows 8.1 and I have encountered lots of issues,
Firstly, my graphics card (GeForce gtx 760) isn't detected at all! Judging by the frame rate in the few games I can run, it seems to be just using the Intel built in graphics in my cpu. I can't open GeForce experience to update my driver.
Secondly, My computer is booting and running far slower than it was with windows 8.1 and a lot of programs won't open.
i'd just fresh install win10 pro 64bit and my only 3.21gb of ram usable out of 8gb..
im using asus x550d Processor AMD A10-5750M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics, 2500 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) win Version 10.0.10240 Build 10240
After installing windows 10 preview I can't connect to Internet? No problem connecting access point but no connection to Internet. Installed on a Dell laptop.
I am using a D-Link DWA-160 Xtreme Dual Band USB Adapter into a NetGear Router. I have three Win 10 machines connected two of which are just fine. The third is displaying "Limited Access". After doing all the normal substitution things without effect I did a System Restore. I was immediately able to connect for about five minutes and then got "Limited Access" again. I undid the the System Restore and got the same result. Connected as soon as the roll back was completed but then went back to Limited Access.
I've installed windows 10, but I've got a strange problem. My WiFi connection randomly gets limited for one second. It isn't so bad, when I'm browsing, but if I wanna download something... that's terrible :S 'cause when the wifi stops, the download stops too... What can I do? I think it's not my laptops problem, because before win10 - on windows 8.1 - it worked fine. If it matters something, it gets limited in about every 5 or 10 minutes.
I downloaded windows 10 the first day I was able to access the internet. Now it's saying its limited. I troubleshooted and it says it does not have valid IP configuration and in the wireless connection it says unidentified network. It says public network shouldn't it be on private? Need straightening this out. Like I said it worked fine one day and now its says no interternt and limited. Sigh.
So I installed Windows 10 3 days ago via the USB provided by Microsoft through purchase on their online store. Since the install I have found that my WiFi connection, on startup, will work for maybe 2 minutes before dropping down to "Limited" and occasionally disconnecting entirely.
My PC is custom built and has worked perfectly fine for the almost 2 years I've had it. I've tried everything from resetting the router, having my ISP replace the router, uninstalling my Wireless Adapter from the Device Manager tool, installing the latest driver updates (Windows 8 for Rosewill RNX-N250PCe) and even running the ipconfig release/renew (which didn't release for some reason.)
I'm using my lumia 625 (which has windows phone 10 build 10536) to connect my laptop (windows 10 too) to the internet using bluetooth (less battery consuming & has smaller rang = more security) , the problem that i'm facing is that I can't set my connection as limited like wifi connections. I have always automatic updates and I only have a very limited bandwidth. And is there any tool usb tether my phone to my laptop?
My laptop have an Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics processor. I have 2GB ram and i am planning to upgrade it to 8GB as my laptop supports upto 8GB( 4GB*2).Now I have only 64MB dedicated graphics memory and around 700 MB shared memory. I wish to know if I can increase my graphics shared or dedicated memory after increasing my RAM . My BIOS does not allow to do it . Is there any other method or any third party software??Is there any way in windows 10 to do this??
In October I bought the MSI GTX 980 graphics card as an upgrade for my Radeon R9 280x. I presumed that I would be getting a lot better performance in games since the 980 is a much more powerful card, this was the case in some games like GTA 5 where I can run the game at much higher settings. However I have found that in a lot of other games my performance seems to have gone down, as an example I will use Borderlands 2 as I have been playing this a lot recently.
Using my old card I was getting pretty much a constant 90+FPS when playing Borderlands 2 but with my current card I am currently getting less than 60 at most times and during combat it can drop to 20's. This doesn't make any sense to me as I have not changed any other hardware other than the graphics card and somehow It is performing worse than my old card.
I understand that the CPU is one of the biggest FPS factors and know that an upgrade to that would be needed for a lot higher FPS but surely an upgrade shouldn't cause an FPS decrease.
Recently I got my free windows 10 upgrade. Once I upgraded I wanted to see if I got any new drivers to install so I deleted my drivers and now once I installed them back I get the error "No AMD Graphics driver is installed or the amd driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD Driver appropriate for your AMD hardware." I have dual graphics. They are AMD Mobility radeon HD 4200 series and AMD mobility radeon HD 5000 series. In device manager HD 5000 has error code 43 and HD 4200 says no drivers installed for this device.
I was recently playing a game and realize my graphics card wasn't running as good as I would like. Realized i hadn't updated the drivers in sometime so I went ahead and did. After restarting my computer after the updates like it told me too, my screen was pushed in 1in. on both sides and 1/2in. on the top and bottom. Along with skype and steam not opening, even though I was on it right up until I restarted my computer.
