Feb 27, 2016I did a clean install to Windows 10 on my new computer on Feb. 12. I also installed Office 2016 at that time. Since then there were a few updates on that day, Feb 12 and two or more on Feb 14th. and then nothing. And nothing at all for Office 2016. Am I missing something or have updates really slowed down.

Aug 22, 2015Got W10, rebooted several times during the process. W10 takes an average 30-35 seconds longer than W8.1 to boot up, and then proceeds to roast my CPU for about 1/2 hr before it settles down, for about 2 mins, then starts roasting it again. During this time, my RAM shoots up to 80% usage.
Again, I rebooted plenty of times, I feared for my high end HP laptop, so I rolled back to W8.1. I will have to wait until MS has its crap together on this one.
Booting Takes Too Long
Jul 29, 2015I expected far more better booting times from Win 10 than this, my PC used to boot up in like 15 secs on Win 8.1 and now its 30+

Installation Time Too Long
Mar 27, 2015I downloaded the Windows 10 Technical Preview build 10041 yesterday and have just started the installation today. It's been already two and a half hours and I'm currently at 23% overall completion. The setting up process is at 78% and I'm getting impatient. Is this how long it usually takes? Should I restart my PC?

Dec 21, 2015I know there are several threads by this name, but my problem, as far as I know, is quite peculiar and I haven't seen anything similar to this in any thread. Yesterday I did a clean install (actually I wiped the whole hard drive and converted it to MBR since it was in GPT and Windows wasn't letting me install it on GPT filesystem) of Windows 10, and installed all the necessary drivers and the basic essentials. I don't know exactly when but after I was done doing some housekeeping, my Windows started taking too long to boot. What happens is that it shows the Windows loading screen (like in the image attached), does the boot animation for about 5-10 seconds, then blinks the screen momentarily, and then shows the Boot animation screen again. But this time, the loading circle animation is really choppy and the pixels seem to be slightly blown out. Then it takes a good 1-2 mins at that screen and then shows the blue screen with loading animation, shows it for another 15-20 seconds and then shows the Login screen.

Jan 27, 2016So recently I have been getting very long boot times, not sure how long as after 20 mins I get bored and walk off. After silly amount of time trying to boot it comes to a black screen with a mouse curser. Ctrl + alt + del does not work but I found pressing start + r and typing explorer.exe makes everything work. I installed some Intel drivers other day while rooting my tablet, maybe this is the issue?

Dec 6, 2015So, I've encountered this issue lately where Windows 10 takes considerably longer to boot than before. (Usually 4 to 5 minutes) It used to boot under 30 seconds before so I don't know what went wrong here.
So, the screen with the Windows logo and loading circle disappears quickly but then it hangs after when a black screen appears with nothing but the mouse cursor(Which can be moved around.) This is the infact main problem, the black screen remains for quite a time before the user screen appears then the desktop. What can cause this problem? Can it be an update, as I never had this issue before neither with Windows 8?

Aug 25, 2015I want to delete a folder on my second hdd because i'm cleaning everything up but there are files inside it which have a too long name... I already tried things like trying to delete the folder manually with CMD.exe and a program called Total Commander but it just won't work. It keeps telling me I can't delete it because it has a too long files name. The files inside the folder are AECACHE-files which are from Adobe After Effects. I'm on a 64-bit version of Windows 10 by the way.

Feb 23, 2016Click on the start menu > Power > Shutdown.does not immediately shut down. I can continue to do tasks for about 30seconds. The computer suddenly switches over to the "Shutting Down" screen with green/blue/<color> background.The computer takes several minutes to shut down.
I have attached a screenshot of Event Viewer logs for Microsoft/Diagnostics-Performance/Operational filtered to Event ID's 200-299 (Shutdown).I have also run a sfc /scannow but there were files that Windows was unable to fix.I'll include the log files as a zipped attachment.
Right Click On Desktop Take Long Time To Show Up?
Aug 13, 2015I have a strange problem where my PC would idle and take a long time for the Contextual Menu to show up when I Right Click on a blank space on the Desktop. It literally take about 10 - 15 seconds for the Menu to show up.
After that it is fast again. Then after awhile it does it again. I don't know what the problem is. I try to do a Clean install of Windows 10 Pro. Wipe everything clean and install it on a 256GB Samsung Pro SSD, and it still does it. There is barely anything on the Contextual Menu so I don't know what the problem is.

Jan 11, 2016I am running Windows 10 Pro. My computer had BSOD quite frequently these few days. It's kind of weird. I was unable to replicate the problem if I just use it for like 1-2 hours. If I use it for a little longer, BSOD will occur when I am trying to shut down. There were no problems at all when I am using it. It is not interrupting my usage but it is really annoying to see BSOD every time whenever I am shutting down.

Performance :: File Explorer Take Long To Load
Sep 7, 2015I just upgraded to windows 10 and one of the things that bugs me is the file explorer on task bar load very slow. It takes around 1 seconds to load if I click on the explorer on task bar. However, if I use the win+E button the explorer open instantly.
I tried to create shortcut from the file explorer exe in windows folder and the time it take to load is about the same with loading on task bar.

In fact I'm using that and Explorer to type this. Nov 26, 2015After upgrading to W10, I've had nothing but issues since day one. Restarting is always a pain because after booting past the Windows 10 logo, I end up with a black screen for about 1-2 minutes, followed by the login prompt. After which, I'm istting at another black screen and then the desktop, very slowly, loads in. It'll show the taskbar, then the few icons, then the Windows theme plays.It just seems way to slow for this to be normal. I've tried everything I can think of up front.

Jan 5, 2016Time to time happens that my whole windows( and everything else that could) slows down and any kind of tasks are very painful to complete. Even writing becomes very laggy.
Usually I'm in the middle of gaming and have a lot of apps opened.I try finishing what's unfinished and close everything(usually at this step I restart my computer). By checking task manager I can see memory used at 99%. Last time I was curios how slow can everything finally turn(since it slowed even more down with time) and after about 15 mins cpu usage hopped to 100%. Then both my screens turned black(only mouse cursor didn't disappear) and I had to hard shut down my computer by the physical button. So far the only solution to this has been restarting the computer.

Feb 12, 2016Is this normal? my computer turns on, i get a black screen for about 35 seconds followed by the logo and a spinning circle and then after typing in my password i get another 30 seconds of waiting before it loads. it wasnt doing this when i had windows 7, is this just normal for ten?

Oct 4, 2015I recently upgraded one of my laptops from Win7 Pro to Win10 Pro. Ever since then it has been taking a much longer time for the laptop to connect to either of my home networks (two different homes). This is with either WiFi or Ethernet.
When it was running Win7 it would connect to either home's network in a few seconds. Now it usually takes over a minute, as much as two minutes. Once it does connect everything works fine.
