View 1 RepliesSo if I try out a lot of apps, there's a history of the apps that I have downloaded in the Windows app store. Is it possible to clear this list especially for the free software that I have downloaded?
View 1 RepliesHave tried several times to delete browser history in settings. Turned unit off and on. History will not delete.

View 1 RepliesI would like to be able to delete or clear my internet history automatically when I close my Google Chrome browser.
I have found a workaround solution, which is described on this webpage about clearing Google Chrome history on exit but I would like to know if there really isn't a more elegant solution instead of installing an addon.
I receive many e-mails in my Yahoo account every day since I am subscribed to many threads in this forum. Recently I noticed that I cannot access Yahoo mail. In Yahoo support they suggest deleting the browsing history. I did it and was able to access my e-mails again only to have the same problem next day. Is there any setting in Internet Explorer or Yahoo that would fix the problem without having to delete browsing history every day? Since I mostly use IE I am not sure if this problem appears in Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Google Chrome, but I would prefer keep using IE.
View 1 RepliesLast night, Dec 3, 2015, windows automatically updated and this morning my computer gave me a new windows startup screen. All my stuff was there, it seems a new version of windows was installed.
Windows 10 home, 64 bit.
I attempted to check my email the usual way, by the Comcast web site, at xfinity.com. I received error messages that I needed to enable cookies. I checked my settings and cookies were still set where I left them, blocking third party cookies only.
I re-tried several times, getting the same error messages, so I enabled all cookies. I still get the same error message, I cannot access my email because cookies are not enabled.
I just updated to Windows 10. I always run pc tools to keep my pc clean. After i updated my PC to 10 i ran my super anti spy software and all my tools. I mostly just find 50 or 70 things to get rid of all tracking stuff but after 10 i run it and get 2172 tracking cookies . I think its the app store tracking me. Can i find something in settings to turn this off or don't worry about it?
View 11 RepliesMy SUPERAntispyware (free) seems to do a better job than Norton at blocking tracking cookies. It blocked 7 or 8 a day on average on my Win7. It's just stopped 257 that have arrived in the past TWO days on my new Win10. Nearly everyone had the name Microsoft in its title.
(1) Should I just accept that this is now the normal way of life and not get angry with Microsoft for the intrusions?
(2) Does Windows Defenders block tracking cookies? Being cynical, is it programmed to let through all those with Microsoft in its name?
I use IE11 - not Edge
I need to clean cookies manually, I tried c:usersuserappdata but can not get, I set permission to show hidden files and folders still nothing.
View 1 RepliesWhen i press Shift+Delete to delete any file, it doesn´t do anything except maybe 10 beeps, its the sound it makes for example when asking for something or some pop-up windows like that. Also when I try this, like at this moment, when writing this in Chrome (which is pretty hard, because of the following things), it does weird things like typing random numbers, deleting the text, skipping the like if I pressed the arrows or enter button, also it was going back in browsing, all by itself. It happens more after when I press Backspace or Delete.
I don´t know what is happening, can´t believe this is a Windows function i don´t know about or if I should be worried about my keyboard or maybe even a virus. (I am not using any downloaded antivirus).
How see call history in Windows 10?
View 1 RepliesSo this is pretty critical: I use Win8.1's built-in File History back up to my external drive and it works great. What I need to know is, when I upgrade to 10, will it be able to bring that back up into 10 even though it was done on 8.1? Otherwise I'd have to go do it all by file; having it do itself would be much preferred.
View 2 RepliesNot for the first time in W10 I noticed a notification slide off the screen before I had a chance to read it..
I need to access those notifications, after all, I'm in charge of the West's nuclear arsenal and could have missed something damned important!
How do I review old notifications that got away from me?
In task manager on the app history tab I have a listing called Uninstalled Processes. In has used about 58 minutes of Cpu time since I cleared the history about a week ago. how I can find out what the uninstalled processes are or any info on this at all
View 2 RepliesI know I can go to My Library and see every app I've ever downloaded but that's not useful, I've downloaded three times as many apps as I've kept. I want an update history list like the W8 mobile store has.
View 2 RepliesI have a Dell XPS 8700 with Win 10 Pro and 16 GB of Ram. I had to install Driver updates to Roxio Creator NXT 4 to copy and convert DVDs. I was asked what was the name of the updated drivers. How do I find the history in my computer for the driver updates?
View 2 RepliesI would like to clear my Reliability history after doing some program testing that generated a lot of errors. I cleared out all of the Event logs, but a number of errors are still showing in the Reliability history.
There was a tutorial in the Windows 7 forums as well as a similar Win 7 solution with a batch file at the Windows Club.
It appears that the files used to be stored in the ProgramdataMicrosoftRAC folder, which doesn't seem to exist for Windows 10.
What do I do if I want to keep the Run Dialog Auto Suggest History in Windows 10?
It has not been showing me the history ever since I upgraded to 10 from 8.1.
I noticed this morning, when I was trying to correlate a problem I was having with Quicken, that my update history is missing from Settings. View your Update History. I realize that I can see it in Control Panel Programs. Programs and Features Installed Updates but I am curious if there is a way that I can bring this info back to Settings.
View 3 RepliesHaving switched from Windows 8 to 10 I find that most of my files have either no history of saved items or very limited history going back only a month or so.
View 7 RepliesMy windows 10 browsing history recently started coming up empty most of the time. How it might could be fixed?
View 5 RepliesI am trying to backup my data (not a system image) to an external hard drive Although I have succeeded in backing files up the system does not work automatically (as it implies it will) and the only work around seems to be to select an alternative drive each time.
In addition if I use File History to attempt a backup the system appears to write to the external hard drive but nothing gets recorded. There is sufficient space for the data (12GB - hard drive total size 120GB) so I do not think it is lack of space.
I currently do File History with 1 external HDD as everyone else does. I have a spare external HDD that is just gathering dust. I wonder if I could do File History with 2 external HDDs? Will I run into trouble if I did?
The idea is that I could do File History with the 2 external HDDs on alternate days, so if the internal HDD and one external HDD happen to die on the same day (very, very unlikely, I know) I lose just one day of backup at the most.
Just noticed the files that have been saved to my remote HD via file history are all saved twice, is this normal?
View 2 RepliesWhenever I do the File History Backup; at completion it gives me the following message: "Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:UsersAdminSkyDrivePictures. Error: (The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003))". I believe this occurred for the first time after I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I no longer have a SkyDrive folder it was replaced with a OneDrive folder. For some reason it is still looking for the SkyDrive folder. In the "Exclude from File History" screen I am unable to exclude the SkyDrive folder. I guess that doesn't surprise me because I no longer have SkyDrive folder. How then do I prevent this error occurring when doing a File History backup?
