I have a product key windows 10 pro. Where do I find the disk online and download it? I would like also windows 10 disk in case I need to reformat my upgrade? I had window 8.1 but I know that soon there is no free upgrade.
Okay, so I am trying to download something from a disk, but it won't let me because I'm not an administrator, except I am. I can't do anything about it because it says I need to try in an admin's password, which i do not know and it doesn't even give me the option to type in anything.
After downloading Windows 10 my disk drive has stopped recognising that I have any sort of disc in it, I believe this is because of the Windows 10 download as I was using it up until the point of the upgrade.
I own a Nokia Lumia 820. Yesterday facebook app was crashing and wouldn't open so I uninstall it. Now that that I'm trying to re-download it it won't let me. It tells me to check if the phone system is updated which it is. It is the only app I'm having problems downloading, I have download others during the day to check if the problem was related to all downloads but it isn't. It's just facebook.
I reserved my Windows 10 on Aug 16, 2015. Its been 2 days now but I didn't got my Windows 10 download notification yet.How long it took for you after reserving until you got a download notification?
I buy this laptop ROG GL552JX-DM019D together with Microsft Windows 10 Home English 64bit License OEM DVD . I tried to install the OS with Windows 10 from the DVD, but I could not, because after I typed the serial number of the DVD with OS , I received the following message:
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disk. Windows cannot be installed to this disk space. Windows must be installed to a partition formatted as NTFS.".
I have recently bought Windows 10 for my new PC and I do not have an optical drive. I am not sure how to put it onto a USB drive so I can install it from that. I've looked all over but I can't find a solid way to do it. I also only have a iMac as another computer so I'm not sure if it will affect how to put Windows 10 onto the USB drive. I need the most specific instructions that you can give me.
I can not download anything. when I click on anything that I want to download, it just sits there and nothing happens. no error no nothing. if I use Firefox, all is fine, no problems there.what to do?
I don't know if this is related or not, but if I move a file from Documents to the desktop or try to save a file to the desktop or to the folder downloads, I get an error telling me I can not do that and I need permission from the administrator, I am the administrator, I have the only account on this computer and it is an administrator account.
In Windows in the past you could go to the windows update download site to find the updates. It doesn't seem to work for Windows 10 cumulative updates. Is there a way to find these updates? I have even tried googling the kb numbers and it only gives details but not the file to download. I wanted to test the Wicd tool ability to add in updates to the media.
Today I tried to install a game from the Windows store and it wont download. I noticed that there were 4 apps trying to update as well, but none of them were moving. When I tried to pause or cancel them, the store would freeze. I restarted my computer which allowed me to pause and cancel, but the apps still down download. Even if its just one at a time. Is it a bug? Is there a workaround?
Picked up a Lenovo Yoga 700 the other day. Everything's been going ok. Got some windows updates last night. Today, nothing will download from the windows marketplace. Don't know if they're related. So far I've tried relogging into my windows account, disabling all security software, changing the boot mode, restarting windows update. All things I've found by searching for this issue. None of it has worked.
I have upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Now, my C drive is almost full with 714GB occupied by "System and reserved". I was in an assumption that, Windows 10 was suppose to take less space.
Trying to dual boot build 10130 iso on a fresh install of 8.1. Received a message:"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is not of the GPT partition style"
Laptop is an Asus x550c. System recovery to Asus factory default.
Asus has a default 4 Partition setup. I added a 5th, Partition 6, by shrinking Partition 4 Looks something like this:
I'm running windows 10 with 8GB of RAM, an Intel i5, an ASRock z77 Extreme 4 mobo, and a Radeon Sapphire 7950 HD. All of the sudden when I boot up my computer it is extremely slow and I found out that my disk usage was 100%. None of the processes in task manager show any usage that would warrant even 5% disk usage.
I looked up some guides and disabled Superfetch and Windows Search in services.msc then restarted my pc. That didn't work even though they are still disabled. I let it sit there for 10 or so minutes and the disk usage went back to normal at <5%. It turns out that if I hit the windows key or press the windows button in the bottom left it won't work and it just makes my disk usage go back up and within 15 seconds it is back to normal.
Why my disk usage is so high on startup and why the windows key won't work/makes me use 100% of my disk?
Video of windows key/button causing 100%: [URL] ....
I have my system built but when i try to install windows 10 onto my kingston 120gb ssd its stops on 6% and it says in the bottom left that windows cant be installed to this disk the selected disk is of the GPT partition style i have never installed windows before...
Went to the Windows Software Download site: Windows 10 to download a new W-10 iso.
From the above site, I clicked on the "All Windows downloads" link and got this: [URL] (The copy and paste doesn't show the "https" with a red line striking it out.

In Windows 10, is there a way to download or activate the standard (old) windows photo viewer? The Windows 10 Photos app sucks for more reasons than I can say in one message. But the biggest problem is that it refuses to let me view my photos if I am not connected to the internet. I am in Ethiopia for a few weeks and internet is spotty. I take hundreds of pictures, transfer them to my Surface 3, then try to view them and it gives me an error and won't let me view any of them. Once I have an internet connection I can view them even though they are stored locally.
I recently have been trying to download the windows 10 ISO with their media creation tool but when ever I start the download it just sits at 0% and spins. I have exhausted everything that I can think of for why it won't be working.
I have redownloaded the media creation tool. I have more than enough bandwidth. I have turned off my firewall and antivirus. Run the media creation tool as admin. Nothing
I keep getting an error when I install Windows 7. I want to install Windows 7 alongside Windows 10. windows cannot be installed to this disk the selected disk is of the gpt partition style
I read solutions to this and most of them write I must format my entire hard drive, but I can't do that because that would mean losing all my data.
I know I need to disable secure boot in order to change the boot sequence. I ran into an issue trying to install Windows 10 on a GPT partition - it said it couldn't do it. So...after much searching, i learned (??) i need to use diskpart to clean the partitions to create one large unallotted space which would then allow me to install Windows. My question is, can i convert the disk to mbr and install Windows to it that way and run it in that mode. If i can do that, what would be the command to do that? > convert mbr after the clean command?? What about enabling secure boot?? Can i do that if i have installed Windows under MBR rather than GPT?
Desktop settings seem to have been totally HOSED UP on build 100130 - Works on some machines but this one - the Task bar won't hide so I can't get access to the SAVE / SAVE AS / CANCEL buttons when doing a download.
I don't want to make text smaller -- it's small enough already --often have problems with tiny text in menus etc --for example Photoshop !)!!!.
My fone went dead while upgrading from WP 8.1 to 10. The fone shows spinning gear and sad smily at the end and restarts again. While downloading the firmware for my lumia 620 using WDRT, i couldnot download completely.
My firmware version is:RM846_3058.50000.1425.0001_RETAIL_apac_thailand_210_01_443768_prd_signed.ffu.
I've had Windows for a few months now and never really had an issue until the past few days. Overall CPU performance/speed is way down. Firefox freezes then recoops every 2-3 minutes, adobe plugin constantly crashing, even to do things offline is crazy slow.
I downloaded Windows Defender probably a week or 2 ago and that is the only big change that I know of done on this computer. I used to run Malewarebytes, SuperAnti-Spyware and Advanced Windows SystemCare. But was told that Advanced Windows SystemCare was the devil and to try TFC (temp file cleaner) & MyDefrag instead. So now i'm running;
Windows Defender MalewareBytes (free) SuperAnti-Spyware(free) TFC MyDefrag
Is this combination making my computer un usable? Or something else?
