View 2 RepliesI followed the instructions and uninstalled Kapersky Antivirus. Still getting the Bad Pool Called Blue Screen now and again. Also finding I can not turn on my windows defender it just keeps turning it self back off again instantly. I have uploaded the dmp files.
View 3 RepliesOkay so I updated from windows 7 to windows 10 i have these black bars around my screen instead of a full screen so I tried changing the resolution because it was set to 800x600 so I change it to 1920x1080.
View 1 RepliesWhen my computer 'snoozes' and I return, Windows 10 randomly shows me pictures and asks me if I like them or not. It then offers to show me more of the ones I like. How can I save these images and how can I find out where they are? Some of the images show fantastic locations that I'd like to visit.
View 1 RepliesBefore reverting Lumia 640 back to WP8.1 and Lumia Camera, I was being bugged by Windows Camera Living Images (shortly LI). It seemed that camera took just still images. I don't like a camera I can't trust.
Today I took some LI with 8.1. Lumia Camera is faithful to the setting and takes video clip every time. But how to view them on W10 PC? No way. So I opened one succesfull W10M LI (visible in W10 PC and phone) in order to duplicate the structure with 8.1 LI files, but the container is more than just simple zip, maybe a JPG with zip content added into it.
Then I noticed that failed W10M LIs from last Saturday (nice christmas lights in a shopping center with "dropping" lights) also had correct LI naming and they were the right size (around 3.5-4MB when still image is <2MB). I unzipped content and - living.jpg and living.mp4 were there. One image can be found at onedrive for those who are interested.I have also some other pictures with LI naming but the size is too small and no zip content in them.
How is it possible that LI images are created by the camera but neither phone nor PC are capable to show them?Is there a way to create W10-supported LI from WP8.1 LI files? App or batch file? Creating zip file and appending it to jpeg file does not seem to work...
I wanted to run some games on 1024x768 but i had black bars i fixed that problem by selecting 1024x768 resolution and scaling to full screen. But i want to know if there is a way to change the resolution to 1024x768 when the game opens instead of doing it manually and when the game closes the resolution goes back to normal which is 1366x768.
View 1 RepliesHow to keep IE in full screen. Its been a while and my addled brain has forgotten.

View 4 RepliesIs there a hot key to take a full screen shot of whatever is on the screen and put it into the photos section? I don't want it to go to the clip board.
View 4 RepliesI note in the screenshots that there is an option in W10 marked 'Use full screen start when in the desktop'. This seems puzzling to me, as I will want to use the full screen start when on the start screen (of course) but obviously I won't want a full screen start when running the Desktop app. Is it possible to use the start menu when running the Desktop app and still have the full start screen presented when I close it/switch away from it? Much like Win8 (only with the new and improved start menu of course) where I right click on the Windows logo icon to get the start menu and left click it to return to the start screen?

View 1 RepliesI was working on my MIL's laptop over the weekend, and she was having problems with games on Windows 10. She's running a Yoga 2 Pro, and launching full screen games requires a resolution change. The game would launch, and be running normally, but attempting to give it focus would always drop you back into the desktop.
After doing some research, it's a remaining bug from the beta. Resolution changes causes the start menu to steal focus, which causes you to drop down into the desktop. Alt tabbing into the game repeats the cycle. The games (in this case) were not crashing, just unable to display.
I have inserted shortcut into startup listing but can't find the way to make it open full screen (app is XBMC/KODI). It opens after boot automatically but still has the task bar at the bottom and title bar at the top - not a good way to watch a movie.
View 1 RepliesWith the latest Windows 10 update I can't play any game in full screen. As soon as I open the game my screen goes black and it tabs out to the desktop. Putting it in 1920x1080 (monitor size) won't work, because my pc isn't good enough to handle it.
View 1 RepliesTesting the xbox game DVR records great but for some reason does not record sound. Also will not work if a game is in full screen mode only works in windowed mode.
View 5 RepliesTwo week ago I upgraded to windows 10 and immediately installed a new SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD Drive. All is working fine with the exception of Netflix that freezes avery minute or so in medium and full screen, (works ok in minimized screen).
I understand Netflix needs "Silverlight" to function which is supposedly supported by Windows 10 but not by Windows Edge. I've tried running Netflix on Explorer but still have the same problem.
In Windows 8.1, if I split my display in half - I could have multiple apps like Internet Explorer and Visual Basic open. Then if I was watching a video on YouTube in full screen mode, the video would still only be displayed in the half of the screen so I could still multitask and do something else in the other half. However if I try to do this in Windows 10, the YouTube video in full screen mode does actually put the video in full screen and takes up the whole display. Is it possible to just get it to display in half of the screen like in Windows 8.1 or is this not yet possible? Was a really handy feature!!
View 1 RepliesI have a gigabyte MB with on-board graphics, 1 vga and 1 DVI as outputs.
I have 2 new asus monitors with 1 vga input and 2 hdmi inputs.
The vga to vga connection to monitor 1 produces full screen on 1920x1080 (recommended)
Asus furnished a cable DVI to HDMI. This connection (monitor 2) leaves about 1/2 inch blank space on either side and about 1/4 inch top and bottom. 1920x1080 (recommended). 1280x1024 setting fills the screen, but display looks stretched.
How does one do this? The video streams using any browser but I can't view them full screen. There's a button there but it doesn't do anything.
View 2 RepliesI do not seem to have a desktop all of a sudden. All I have is this full screen start menu. How to turn this off, or how I turned it on. How to get this back to a traditional desktop?

View 9 RepliesMy computer has a mind of its own apparently. I can no longer view my regular desktop. All I get is the full start screen with all the stupid tiles on it. I have tried changing my settings, restarting, shutting down and rebooting, nothing is working. When I click the windows logo all I get is that same full start screen. Am I missing something? All I want is for it to show me my regular, normal desktop. Not these tiles!
View 3 RepliesMy monitor resolution is 2560x1080 and it's cut off on both the left and right sides of the screen. I can't figure out how to fix it. Here's a picture to show what I'm getting....
View 1 RepliesI did upgrade to windows 10 from windows 8.1 but found that my favourate games would not run on full screen but only in a window.... (X2 the Treat, X3 games....)
Did find a few anoying problems with the start menu but can see there would be improvment so could live with it.
But the fullscreen problem drove me mad so reverted back to 8.1.
Have microsoft solved this problem yet..?
Or should I continue to stay on 8.1...?
In windows 10, you're given the ability to drag the start menu to a larger size and enable a third horizontal row of tiles. Im an insider, and using 10240 (rtm). Even in tablet or full screen mode, still only the two columns.
View 3 RepliesHere is my scenario. I am on a single monitor. I have a hockey game on full screen. Can I work on a web page overlayed the full screen hockey game? or any program for that matter?
