People App Has Bad Account
Nov 30, 2015When I upgraded to Windows 10 I set up the People App to list my contacts by syncing with my Outlook account. It worked great until this week. Now it attempts to sync followed by a message in red under the account saying attention required. When I attempt to open that account to edit the setting I get a dialog box with error code 0x008072ee2 that says "something went wrong". The only option is to close that window after which the account tries to sync again as the process repeats itself.
How can I delete this account and start over. I have remove the people app and reinstalled it and I have re-registered all of the apps with no success.

Get the message that my Browser needs to be updated, click on the message and it tells me my Browser (IE10) is the latest version.
Am using IE instead of Edge due to many Malware instances using Edge... they are not there in IE10.
Social App Integration People Hub?
Aug 30, 2015I know that there have been comments about Fb and Twitter integration when using the People hub on W10.
I'm just wondering if we're all in the same boat?
When displaying contacts - with FB and Twitter installed - clicking on "showing" lets me select contacts from my email accounts but not my social apps.
When clicking on "Get social apps" in settings, I get a message saying Your search for "" had no results.
Works fine (ish) on my Wp10 insider build.
People App - Profile Pictures
Sep 1, 2015I've searched around for an answer to this but I couldn't find anything. Does the People App in Windows 10 bring in profile pictures from Facebook? This worked great in Windows 8.1 and all the mobile versions (even WP10 preview) but for some reason all my contacts in the People App have blank pictures and I'm not sure how to get this fixed. I have the Facebook app installed but I'm not sure if there is anything else I need to do. It's annoying seeing all the blank pictures.

Nov 26, 2015I have the iPhone 6s plus. I am using windows 10 pro. I am having an access denied error when trying to erase the photos-videos after import. I can't find the answer anywhere.
To get the import started you have to plug in the phone via USB. Then in file explorer you right click the icon and select the importing option. Setup the options etc. and select import. Everything works great up until it starts to erase the files off the device and then I get that error displayed in the image below.

Aug 3, 2015Start, right click, Control Panel, Hardware and Devices: my camera (Nikon D7000) comes up. Import pictures fails. The error message says: 'no pictures or videos were found on this device'. Did the same thing on my Windows 7 machine (good thing its not yet upgraded). It correctly found 58 pictures and imported them.

Mar 24, 2016Problems syncing Contacts to one PC - how to fix!? I have the following setup:
- My contacts in the Microsoft Account on the web (People.Live.Com) with Outlook Contacts, Windows Messages, Skype and LinkedIn-integration, works perfectly
- A Lumia 925 with Windows Phone 8.1 and full sync to my account which works fine (including LinkedIn)
- A MS 950XL With Windows Phone 10 and full sync to my account which works fine (without the LinkedIn-integration)
- a PC with Win 10 Prof. which also works fine with all contacts showing up in the "Contact" app on my PC (except the LinkedIn integration)
But then also a laptop with Win 10 home, setup in exactly the same way with the Outlook account, Skype etc. but where the contact sync worked initially BUT HAS NOW STOPPED WORKING!
If I add a new Outlook contact on any of my other devices it syncs with all but the laptop and the same is true for changes of contact data. Somehow the sync function of contacts to the laptop has stopped working!!
I have forced sync but no new contacts show up. The settings in the Contact App on my laptop is the same as on my other PC (same server, same setting on what to collect and how to sync my outlook account, ticking the same boxes on how to filter the contacts etc). I have uninstalled and reinstalled Skype, Messages + Skype-app etc. but cannot make it work. I cannot detect any other differences between the devices and all other things work great.

Jul 30, 2015I've upgraded one of my computers from Windows 8.1 to 10 and when opening the People app my contacts do show but no picture is shown. In Windows 8.1 the People app could be connected to several social networks and pull contact info. If I access my MS account on the web, the People page still shows my social network connections, but I know that the Facebook integration has been deprecated.

I put the memory card from my Nikon dig. camera into my card reader, I plugged the card reader into my computer USB, and the photos appear on the screen. But, there's no clickable link at all for me to import and/or save them. I need to send them to someone and find no way to do it....
Across the top of the photos it only says this and not as links:
Upper right: Photos
A little below: Select items to import from E:/
A little lower: New Items (Clicking on this it makes my pix on the screen disappear, and clicking again brings them back!)
And below that: November 2015 (date I did this). And on same line: Clear (Clears the check-marks on each photo).
Apps :: Picture Import From SD Not Working?
Jul 31, 2015When I plug in an SD card from my camera I get a window titled COLLECTION, with a pop-up saying "Is this the right device? We couldn't find anything to import on this device."
I can of course browse to the SD card, but I quite liked the import feature.
[Later] If I change the AutoPlay default to use Windows Live Photo Gallery rather than Pictures, it seems to work, but I don't really like WLPG.
Import Or Merge Registry Key Not Working?
Aug 28, 2015I exported a key (ieshims) to document folder. I made corrections using Notepad++ to some paths and saved it. I imported the key back and everything went fine.
The problem is that when I go back to look at my corrections in the registry, nothing is updated. The old key is shown.
The reason I exported/imported the key is that regedit doesn't allow me to make correction of a path on the left side of the key i.e. paths.
EDGE Export / Import Favorites
Oct 6, 2015I really like IE feature to easy import/export Favorites to pen drive or any other destination. EDGE offers only to import Favorites from IE which is a deal breaker for me. I have seen advices to copy Favorite file from EDGE directory which is buried deep in the system and cumbersome to use. Is there plan to add this IE feature of easy import/export Favorites to EDGE?

Feb 10, 2016Finally managed to import my thousands of saved emails (had to buy a program to do it) but cannot get them to be sub-folders of the inbox, only down at the bottom as "Outlook data file". Cannot import contacts. I export to csv but they import blank, now I have about 100 blank contacts that this POS won't let me delete.I have 3 accounts, comcast, gmail, and outlook.com. All are IMAP accounts.
When I started this process hours ago, I was hoping the following could be done:
-Have one combined inbox
-Have all my saved local folders as a sub of that inbox
-Have a complete address book that I'm able to use and edit
