View 1 RepliesI don't have a lot of storage on my device. How large is the Windows 10 upgrade and how can I get it onto my device?
View 2 RepliesAfter WIndows 10 Upgrade, I lost my printer on devices. I re-install the printer's driver and still it doesn't print. All my documents were in queued all the time. And then I visited my "Devices" again and found there were already 2 printers (the other one is with 'Copy 1') - most probably that's the one I recently installed.
Question: Does my printer really was lost after Windows 10 upgrade? or it's just there and I just have to do something...? Now, that I have re-installed the driver (Brother DCP-J100) and it appeared I have 2, am I going to uninstall it? It doesn't work now, I cannot print, in general, what will I do?
After the latest update of Windows 10, whenever I turn on or off the CAPS LOCK, the NUM LOCK and SCROLL LOCK, I get an annoying notification saying their on or off. How do I make this notification away?
Seems it was a process that came with the HP mouse I bought.
Do I have to sync my Bluetooth after I upgrade to Windows 10? Or will all of my device just work fine without me doing anything?

View 6 RepliesI am using hp 14-r029tx and windows 10 pro. The problem is, I have my wifi on. But the airplane mode status shows activated which means airplane mode is on. If my wifi is on then how come airplane mode is also on? Sometimes wifi takes too much time to load and sometimes have to reboot also. my wifi adapter is QUALCOMM Atheros qca 9565 with Bluetooth.
View 9 RepliesI chose to log in use the PIN option. I like typing with the num pad.
At the log on screen Num Lock was always off.
1. Checked the BIOS settings:
Ensured that the NumLock status in the BIOS was set to enabled
2. Modified the registry a few times
Key: HKEY_USERS.DEFAULTControl PanelKeyboard
I set the String Value: InitialKeyboardIndicators
to 2
then I tried 80000002
then I tried 2147483650
So I have partial success, where NumLock is enabled after a restart, but it is not enabled after a cold-boot.
When I boot into win 10 I get a black screen that says:
Windows Failed to start
Status: 0xc000000f
When I boot to a Win 10 Install disk I select:
English, next
Repair your computer
Troubleshoot
Advanced options
Startup Repair
It says it's Diagnosing problems
Attempting repairs
Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC.
What can I do to fix the boot up problem?
I managed to upgrade from 8.1 to 10 with no issues, but I wanted a clean install - so I went through the reset process.
Unfortunately now it is stuck on a restart loop.
I get the message
"Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart, we will restart for you
if you need to know more you can search later for this error: Inaccessible_device_error
I'm going to create an 8.1 usb with the media creation tool (tried to do one for 10, but this failed during verification.
I tried the registry fix that worked last time on Windows 7 to fix this issue of custom icons not automatically changing, but apparently it cropped up again in Windows 10, and is also not fixable via adding the ",0" to the end of the registry entry.
View 1 RepliesFor some reason arma 3 has just started to crash and say that it has this error.
View 1 RepliesEver since I installed Windows 10 some of my devices will suddenly get errors and stop working until reboot or the driver will completely disappear (also goes comes back to normal after restarting).
These are the devices that I've had trouble with:b
- Touch Screen (HID-compilant touch screen) [Disappears]
- USB Ports [Gets Error 43]
- Bluetooth [Disappears]
- Unknown Device (Not sure what this is) ["Drivers not installed." Error 28.]
They all start having trouble at the same time, it's instantaneous and there is no other indicator for it other than the "Device Plug Out" sound. I've tried looking for new drivers with the Windows wizard, uninstalling and then selecting "Look for Hardware Changes" , and rebooting--which, as I've mentioned before, temporarily fixes this.
I've found topics exclusively for the USB Ports error, and the rest just seem to be fixed by everyone through reboot, but I want a permanent solution. Otherwise I'll consider going back to Windows 7 or just leave Windows altogether.
i have my ASUS X555LD for almost a year now, so as far as date is concerned my laptop shouldn't be too old to suffer such illness. So it came with Win8.1 x64 of course and just recently, as soon as Windows 10 was released, i upgraded quickly.
but right after i upgraded to Windows 10, my laptop became ill and had this errors:
1. i got BSoD Most of the Time, one would say CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED or UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION. there are times my laptop would freeze in the BSoD, not even the 0% would move to 100%. so i had no other choice but to force shutdown it, and sometimes after turning my laptop on again i end up at my BIOS with no HDD nor BOOT ENTRY listed. as i experimented, i had to press slightly hard on the right side of my Laptop where my HDD is Located just for my Laptop to re-read my HDD once again, as soon as i got back to Windows 10, i ran an HDD Check and nothing was wrong, no bad sectors or anything. this is confusing me as to how it is happening. so i somehow got used to BSoD since my Laptop frequently experience it. sometimes just a simple movement that would shake my laptop would turn into BSoD again, i suspect something like my HDD or loose or the likes. i dont really know.
2. after the BSoD Case, a week or three i guess. i started to loose Audio Ability. it was just this morning, the Volume Icon has a "RED X" on its icon and states "No Audio Output Device is installed.". and after checking my Device Manager, to my surprise the Built-in Audio Device (Realtek) is not there. i don't know how or why it happened but i can't get it back.
even checking the sound tab on the control panel doesn't bring out Audio Devices.
i was wondering if ASUS or the PC Store where i bought my Laptop would fix it for me as per warranty is involved ?
in windows 10 when I trying to safely eject the USB it says that the USB device is already in use (which is not )and if I'm removing it forcely the pc freeze and I'm getting the bsod with the error: inaccessible boot device and then my pc turning off I tried to format but it still happing I had no choice to go back to win 8.1 and there everything good (also it happing with some USB devices but some are working to but still .
View 1 RepliesI recently put my camera memory card into my computer to download photos. I couldn't open them and need to leave so hit "remove device" figuring that I'd go back later when I had more time to get them. When I went back and reinserted the card it didn't show up. I've tried to "add a device" but it still doesn't work. When I hit the device and printers icon it doesn't show up. What do I do?
View 4 RepliesI just upgraded to Windows 10; not much problems for me, except one that I really wish I new that before upgrading.
Let me just say this; the Windows 10 app on my pc (running Win7 Ultimate) did not say anything about this issue, that's why I upgraded.
Under my windows 7 I had 2 Realtek RTL8168D PCI-E Gigabit Nic; which I had setup for teaming with the Realtek Teaming Utility; after the upgrade I found out that utility was not compatible with Windows 10, which sucks.
My real problem is under the Device Manager I only see one (1) Nic listed.... is this normal for Windows 10?
Also, how to setup a NIC Team without using the Realtek utility?
I connected an audio cable to my laptop but when windows asked what the cable was i accidentally checked the box that said microphone. Now i can't change it anymore and my audio device is in the recording tab instead of the playback tab. How do i change this?
View 1 RepliesWhen I look to the properties of the stick I see as name 'TDK16GB' (that's the name I want). In explorer though I see the stick as 'Fix it portable (F: )'. Even if I change the name by right-clicking - change name, explorer always shows 'Fix it portable' as the name.
View 4 RepliesI first noticed this after upgrading to Windows 10, it is possible that it happened beforehand but I'm confident that's not the case.Essentially at random intervals, several minutes apart, my USB devices just hang. Most noticeably with the mouse, I get a split second where the mouse can't move and then it jumps to where it should have been when I originally moved it. Same thing happens with the keyboard but it's slightly less noticeable. I've noticed this with my headset as well which is really irritating because it still doesn't make a disconnect noise but for some reason I have to unplug and plug it back in again to get it to work.
It happens on the USBs connected directly to the motherboard but also the front ones as well. There is no disconnect noise when this happens, nothing else hangs it's just the USB devices. The first thing I did was upgrade to latest chipset drivers etc. This did not fix the issue, so I did a clean install of Windows 10 and I'm still having this problem.

I'm on build 10130, can't find RTM build through WU. Can't update from media creation tool's upgrade now function. Can't update from ISO because it says product key is invalid even though i used the command prompt to find original product key.
View 1 RepliesTonight, I tried to look at my mouse properties in Device Manager. I wasn't able to do anything, because for some reason my Device Manager is refreshing every second. I can't click on anything and I don't know how to stop it from doing this.
View 1 RepliesI just encountered a problem yesterday, I'm unable to change my headphones to the default device. I can only set them to Default Communications Device or not default anything. Here's a picture of my playback devices tab.
The communications headphones is the headphone jack, and the speakers just don't work anymore for some reason. also my volume mixer is empty.
I noticed the problem when I saw that my mixer was empty, and I had League of Legends muted before it started, so now I can't unmute it.
Platform: HP Stream 7 Bluetooth Device: LG HBS750 headphones
The device was paired, but would not connect. I attempted to remove the device, but the tablet has been trying to "REMOVE DEVICE" for 3 days now.
I can't stop or interrupt the process.
How do I rename a bluetooth device in Win10?
View 3 RepliesI noticed the sound was off on my task bar (just installed Windows 10), anyway when I went to the control panel it said there was no audio device installed. So how do I go about installing it? I googled but all the advice was for older editions of Windows
