View 8 RepliesI'm using windows 10. When I'm using my user, the windows store app just doesnt open. The icon on the start menu is empty. It just says "store". When I click on it - nothing happens. When i search "store" and the icon pops up, I click it and once again nothing happens.
View 2 RepliesI recently installed windows 10 on my HP stream 7 and after some driver updates everything works fine except for the store: it's just not there. Some apps came pre-installed and run normally, but some are shortcuts to downloads form the Windows Store and, when clicked, give me the pop-up message "You'll need a new app to open ms-windows-store."
View 1 RepliesFor the last few days, I have been unable to get the Windows App Store, or any apps downloaded from the windows app store, to be able to open. It opens the initial window and then just closes and nothing occurs. This also occurs with the xbox app...
View 3 RepliesI have 2 machines running windows 10, and it seems like a lot of struggle of late. My latest problem as of this eve on my downstairs machine, is that Windows Search seems to be confined to just the store and web. Meaning, if I click on search and type in firewall, it will lead me to a couple options in the store and the rest of the options are up on the web. Same if I punch in notepad. It won't search locally for some reason.
View 2 RepliesIt seems that whenever the Windows Store became available I've always gotten Event ID's 69 similar to the one below. The app changes. It usually happens about 15 minutes I first cold boot my machine. Sometimes after installing a Store app.
Failed with 0x490 modifying AppModel Runtime status for package Microsoft.WindowsCalculator_10.1511.60020.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe for user DESKTOP-JJKSIHMgarys (current status = 0x0, desired status = 0x20).
It has occurred on Windows 8.x and Windows 10. On different machines too. Even with a clean install. It never seems to affect the application mentioned. I assume it's part of the Store updating procedure.
What exactly this error means? Seems to be another permissions problem which Windows has always had since 8.x.
My Windows store stopped working and I tried everything to make it work again until finally I decided to delete it via PowerShell with the command:
Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage
Now it's completely gone and I can't find a way to reinstall it. There is no available download online. I tried using Add-AppxPackage -register "C:Program FilesWindowsApps<PackageFullName>" -DisableDevelopmentMode command, but it seems that the files are completely wiped out.
If I am away from my computer for a few minutes, then come back, Windows Store or any other windows app, such as Photos, is open.
View 2 RepliesAs title says. I'm not able to "isolate" just PC games in Windows Store (the icon on taskbar). And I can't find Gears of War, Rise of the Tomb Raider, etc..
View 2 RepliesI have been facing issue with latest windows 10 mandatory update which i had to do on 10 Nov. Not sure which version that was. After that update which took around 2 hours, I got the screen flashing issue which got resolved after deselecting the windows error reporting and problem reporting services.
Then started to face the issue that png/jpeg files were not opening in windows photo viewer app. Getting error, "cannot open because the app is updating." To resolve this I did the powershell command to remove the restrictions. After that I saw that the windows store icon totally dissappeared from the status bar. When I type store in cortana I get :
I tried doing the re-registration of the windows store app but it gave exception.
How do i restore the windows store? or reinstall windows store.
I've tried some commands and none have worked and have thought about reinstalling. Should I or is there a better fix for this?
View 9 RepliesI cant seem to get my Windows store to open. My install is about a day old, and was a clean install. When I click the store icon I get a brief view of it loading and then it disappears.
I've tried going to my app data and deleting the windows store files.
I've gone into command prompt and tried resetting the store and it doesn't work.
Tried WSReset.exe and the store pop up and disappear again.
After the last major update to windows 10, Microsoft solitaire collection and windows 10 store will not open. When I click on either one I get a flash screen and then it disappears (both).
View 6 RepliesI'm not sure if it's a Surface 3 specific issues and the S3 has been one problem after another on Win 10 but my store downloads and Windows Update downloads just seem to get stuck and never complete. WU never gets off of "Waiting for download".
Every so a store update may start to download. It can take a good 4 to 8 hours, if at all, for all the updates to process. If a download does start it seems to run normally.
Checking my task manager shows the CPU and network are mostly sitting idle.
I've cleared out the SofrwareDistribution folder but it hasn't worked.
I recently did a clean install of Windows 10 on my desktop PC and I haven't been able to use the Windows Store ever since. Every time i click on an app in order to download it I get a progress ring for a few seconds and then the store crashes. Settings an Downloads open just fine.
My date and time are correct and I have already tried deleting the AppDataLocalPackagesMicrosoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbweLocalCache folder to no avail. No one on the internet seems to have encountered the exact same problem.
So I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and I can't seem to install any apps from the store, there is no Install button? I click on an app(facebook for example), the facebook app page loads but no Install button appears. Also the blue loading dots just keep spinning and then the app crashes after a while.
I've tried everything from wsreset.exe to cleaning out the C:/Windows/SoftwareDistribution folder. I've also tried refreshing the pc and deleting and re creating the user account with no success.
I am having this problem from the day I had windows 10 in my pc. I tried the methods that were given in the official Microsoft website, also tried to check the time and the region(if it were happen to be different), but nothing worked out.. I really want the windows store for my pc..
The error code that the store shows everytime is 0x80072EE7,
I recently installed my windows10. Yesterday it was all working but now windows store wouldn't open for like 1sec then closes immediately and also other apps wouldn't open and prefer going to windows store.
View 1 RepliesI have installed all the apps and programs I need for Windows 10 fine, but when I try to download Minecraft: Windows 10 Beta, it just brings the error: "Something went wrong. The error code is 0x803F7003, in case you need it".
Is this error due to the strain on Microsoft's servers or is a problem with my computer?
I have installed 10 and Office suite on my SSD (drive C). I have a clean fomatted HDD (A) that I want to store User media files (documents, pictures, videos, music, Outlook PST) files on. I have named my PC "Main". I would like that to be the hidden Administrator account and use my User name of Fred and a second User name of Wilma.
I would like all of those files to automatically be stored on the HDD. I had backed up those media files on an external HDD and will be recovering those after this is set up on the A drive.
The windows store app is missing from the taskbar and when I open "all apps" the box by "store" is blank. How do I load app for the store?
View 2 RepliesI was having some problems with Windows Store
First of all
I got error 0x800072efe
Looked all over the Internet. Finally fixed it.
Then started getting error 0x80070005. And no matter what it couldn't be fixed. So I decided to uninstall Store using 10AppsManager and I also deleted all Microsoft.WindowsStore packagefamily folders.
I tried every solution available on Internet but none worked. This was one of them Restore and reinstall Windows Store in Windows 10 after removing with PowerShell.
I don't want to do a system rest as it'll result in losing all my programs I had installed since Windows 8. Never did a reset.
So its been some weeks maybe my store application wont launch, when I open it, it shows the splash screen then suddenly closed itself without any error code or something. I've tried to clear LocalCache folder, Powershell command didn't solve my problem, even wsreset.exe returns error popup "ms-windows-storePurgeCaches the application cannot be started. Try reinstalling the application to fing the problem". And now the store and other metro application's tile like photos are grayed with exclamation mark.
View 9 RepliesSince the last update, windows store all of the sudden won't restart. how to make it work again?
View 5 Replieshow to add to your personal wishlist on Windows Store? Unless it doesn't have one, if that's the case why? And I love having a wishlist on iTunes as it is awesome to go back later and remember and buy it.
View 1 RepliesWindows store won't open on my computer and most of my apps won't work. I first tried using this fix but it didn't work:
"Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"}"
I also tried refreshing but when I refreshed my computer I got stuck at the keyboard layout screen.
