How To Prevent Microsoft From Updating Bloatware

I spent a while in powershell meticulously removing the stupid unnecessary "apps" that Microsoft so generously infested my computer with (I'm looking at you, "Bing"). Before I could breathe a sigh of relief however, I discovered that the blight came back after a normal Windows update.
Normally it wouldn't bug me too much, but I'm giving this laptop to some old folks who aren't very tech savvy enough to continuously remove the apps through powershell. Windows eventually needs to update too. So seeing Xbox, Bing, and Candy Crush (seriously, ***?) will only make it harder for them.
Is there a way to get rid of the bloatware and prevent Microsoft from typically shoving it back into the PC?

I signed in to my Microsoft account when I logged onto my Windows 10 laptop, I should not have to sign in AGAIN. Or is this a new "feature" of Windows 10?
I was running an 8 hour job on my network late last night between the two laptops on my network. I just checked it and it had a little less than 2 hours to run. A few minutes later a Microsoft message popped up that said I needed to sign into my Microsoft account again. Immediately, my network went down and the long running job ended. I have to think these two are connected. What is really interesting is that I am still connected to the internet and I have to assume to my Microsoft account.
Why would I get that message? Why would it interrupt my network and crash my job? How do I prevent this from happening again?
The more I see of Windows 10 the better I like Windows 7, actually, the better I like windows 95. Remember that one?

I understand that MS have decided to save resources for updates and that Windows 10 will get updates from any PC that has installed it already, something about "Windows Update Delivery Optimization" (WUDO). I see this as hackers' heaven! A hacker can take an update, alter it with his malware virus and Microsoft will distribute and install it on other PCs for him/her.How can I be sure that the update is clean and downloaded direct from Microsoft?

Any way to force windows to not allow a window to partially go off the screen? With a large display and high resolution I have no need for a window to "overflow" off the display.

Assuming it's possible, need information on preventing Windows 10 from forcing GPU driver updates on me?
I created a thread three days ago about a faulty AMD GPU driver update, version 15.200.1062.1004 and that my only [current] resolution for that is to roll back the driver to version 15.200.1062.1002.
Evidently, Windows 10 doesn't accept using an older driver and periodically, it will take control of my system with a background task and force this driver update on me.

How do I prevent my computer from going into a deep sleep after inactivity?
I have hybrid sleep off. Whenever I try to wake it up, it doesn't respond to any of keys except for the power button. That leads me to thinking it's been shut down, crashed, or is in a deep sleep. I don't think it has crashed.
Do I need to disable hibernation? If so, how do I turn it off permanently?

I was wondering how to keep my laptop from going to sleep when it's plugged in. I have all the settings set to "never" but it still goes to sleep after ten-fifteen minutes. For what it's worth, it's a Dell laptop...

In Windows 7, I knew how to turn off the annoying (to me) feature that windows were automatically maximized when moved to the edge of the screen. This option no longer seems to be present in the 'ease of access' settings.

Since I've upgraded to Windows 10, iTunes keeps loading on startup. I looked in the task manager under Startup, and disabled iTunesHelper. I don't see any other apps listed under Startup that are associated with iTunes or any other apple software.
Am I missing something? It's a little annoying having iTunes loading on startup.

I have an issue whereby when I return home from work in the evening, I find my PC running after being turned on by Windows Update during the day. I find this intrusion unacceptable and I probably wouldn't mind so much if it turned it back off again! What if I was away for a vacation?
The other associated issue is that it installs an unwanted graphics driver upgrade, unfortunately this driver causes numerous dxgmm2.sys BSOD's. My only resolution for which is to roll back to an older 347.88 driver which runs like clockwork on SWTOR. Each night I roll back the driver to play uninterrupted and next day it is overwritten!
Unfortunately being Windows Home edition, my control of these updates is limited to non existent!

I use the window snapping feature a lot, but mainly for maximizing windows. I have a dual screen setup and when I drag a window along the top edge of the screen onto the second screen, it becomes stuck. This is very annoying, because I often want to move a window from screen 1 to screen 2 and maximize it at the same time.I first thought that this issue was related to the new ability to snap windows to one of the four corners. But even if I turn off snapping entirely and even if I am not dragging a window at all, my mouse becomes stuck in the top right corner of the first screen.

Kid logs in with a microsoft account which can be monitored, but then creates a local account that can't be monitored and accesses internet sites that are not appropriate. Any way to prevent kids from creating local accounts in Windows10?

My computer will go to sleep after 30 minutes, as scheduled, but only if I have not signed in to my user account. Once I sign in, it will not automatically sleep, and the monitor will not dim.
What processes are likely to be interfering with sleep? I can put it into sleep manually, and it will stay asleep. but it won't do so automatically, if I am signed in.

One thing that drives me bonkers is having a mouse pointer open any file whose name I might inadvertently hover over for a few seconds. I want files to open ONLY when I double click them. In earlier versions of Windows it was easy to turn the open on hover feature off, which I always did. However there is no option to turn it off in Windows 10 that I can find anywhere in Settings.

when i search from the start menu, all i want to find is applications (desktop apps, metro apps, shortcus to apps in the all-applications menu) and settings, not files and folders. (i already disabled the web search there).
i still want to be able to search files when searching from antoher places, just not when searching from the start menu, so disabling the index is not an option for me.

I suddenly lost my start menu. After trying several failed fixes I ended up creating a new user. I downloaded my pictures folder to an external drive and attempted to upload them into the new user pictures folder using Teracopy. Teracopy is now stuck at 97%. I can stop Teracopy but I need to add the missing (but unknown) last 3% of images to the folder. How can I do this by over copying the folder without creating duplicates?
If I knew which images, and videos, are missing I could just copy them to the new folder, but there is no list of missing images. So, I want to copy the images over again but have an option to skip all possible duplicates.

From one of my Windows 10 machines I am unable to access the shared folders on the other. The troubleshooter says "One or more network protocols are missing on this computer" and "Windows Sockets registry entries required for network connectivity are missing."
I have run sfc /scannow, but no problems were found. I don't get the problem when sharing in the other direction or when accessing the shared folders on the same machine.
This comes amidst a cluster of sharing-related problems. Before the reboot after which the present problem manifested itself, shares going in the other direction were invisible in the network browser (but could be accessed via the search bar). Also, the machine in question does not appear in the HomeGroup browser even though it is a member of the HomeGroup.

Windows creates another keyboard layout automatically, based on the regional settings. My regional settings are set to UK, however my keyboard layout is a custom made based on US layout.
After restart I have no UK keyboard layout, then at some point it just appears by itself (I don't notice when does it happen). How can I prevent this from happening? Windows10 ...

There are a few apps that keep installing themselves even after I removed them. 3D builder, Get Office, etc. Is there a way, or a couple ways to get them to NOT install once I remove them? Or to at the very least block them from functioning (example, the Get Office app notifies me about getting office all the time).

After updating to Win 10 recently, I realized that I was lagging everytime I run some games. Even exiting them, it would still continue to mess up my CPU with heavy usage. With 16GB of ram this shouldn't happen. While in game, there was heavy graphic lag. I turned off all my additional programs in the background, did scans of CCleaner and my Anti virus. I also cleaned up registry with CCleaner.
Did some research previously and also turned off all the Customer Experience Issues in the Task Scheduler. This issue still happens every now and then. How do I check what exactly is the rundll32.exe is coming from?
