Feb 23, 2016I'm a huge fan of the Windows 10, I love it, however recently I've gotten my first glimpse of the buggy side. The computer (pretty decent) is taking a very very long time to shut down. I just let it be, maybe update or something, however it kept doing it. After a few days I checked the event viewer, and I had quite a few of errors.
The main error (that I think, I'm no computer expert) that is causing this domino effect is a distributed error, CLSID and APPID. I've tried many solutions out there, and none seem to work.
Disabling Front Jack Detection
Aug 12, 2015I recently installed Windows 10. But the drivers for my VIA soundchip which came with the motherboard don't work with it. I am able to install it but when I try to run HDVdeck it doesn't open. It did work in W8.1. Any fix?? Or can I disable front jack detection any other way??

After that I insert a 3.5' HDD and turn it on. Nothing happen. there is no red or green light and the device doesn't appear in Disks Management.

Nov 19, 2015I am having audio problems that I have been unable to resolve. My pc specs and problem below. So since I upgraded to Windows 10 one of the biggest things that annoys me is when I plug in headphones they are not picked up by my pc and I have to manually switch to them as default audio using the Playback devices menu. On Windows 7 I had a Audio Control panel that popped up and detected the headphones.
I am also having issues with the volume sounding low throughout and terrible call quality on skype not sure if this is a separate issue, I have tried manually updating, removing & reinstalling the audio drivers from the device manager and also tried downloading the realtek windows 10 drivers. None of these have seemed to work, I have tried software that detects out of date drivers to no avail and also made sure other components on my pc are updated incase this somehow worked.

Sep 7, 2015How to disable over popups on windows 10? When using windows 10 email and hovering over a clickable link, such as a picture, there is a huge hover popup with the entire URL. It is annoying and takes up a big part of the screen. see screenshot below.

Oct 31, 2015Issue i'm having with using my headset in my front panels and I can't figure out what's up.
If I plug the green headphone jack into the headphone port the pop up comes up and tells me this is the pink mic port. Gives me the option to select from headphone, mic, front speaker etc..
If i plug the pink mic jack into the microphone port it thinks this is the green headphone port and no option to select Mic.
Why are these reversed? The HD audio connector is connected correctly to my motherboard (only goes on one way anyway)

I changed this to the suggested: 9F 3E 07 80 12 00 00 00 and after logging back in, on hover, the window gets active but not focused - not what I'm looking for so I have left this value at DF...

Dec 6, 2015For some reason tooltip/hover text and some other text (often for settings) is highlighted pink. This is shown in the screenshot. I believe in previous versions of windows you could change this in "advanced apperance options" however that was removed in windows 8 and 10 (I think). I would like to change the pink highlight to the default white (no highlight).

Resolving this problem is of extreme importance to me since many of the programs I rely on are affected. Reverting to an older Windows version is not an option for me.
Affected programs:
Mocha Pro 4.1.3, IDA Pro 6.8, VLC Player & qBitTorrent (all versions)overall countless new and old programs affected
How to reproduce:
I can reproduce it successfully every timeMove the mouse from one sub-menu item that expands (SS1) to another (SS2) for a few times (usually around 10 is enough)It can also happen by interacting with any other UI elements in the program (although takes a few more clicks)

Mouse stops highlighting any buttons or menu items in the whole program - if you hover over anything that's supposed to have a hover action (like these menus) - nothing will happen, as if the mouse isn't thereClicks will also only work in less than 10% of all scenarios'Ghost' menus (only the shadows of the drop-down menus are visible) will as well start appearing from some hover actionsUI of the affected program suddenly becomes very slow, laggy and choppy when the bug is triggeredEvery program effected by the bug will not exit properly no matter what and the process will stay running forever, unless closed via task managerThe only solution is to restart the program

My guess (as of 4th of January, 2016):
I think that the hovering effect of the mouse gets 'stuck' in one place (the place where the glitch initially occurs) and it stays there forever, despite the movement of the actual mouse.

Aug 6, 2015I'm using an Intel SSD 240GB 520 series. Always loading very fast, i.e., about 8 seconds from cold boot.
Since windows 10 is installed, boot time is about 20 seconds and desktop icons take some time to refresh and load their images.
Regarding the boot time: I've narrowed it down the an unexplained read/write access on my external HDD eSATA which is used for backups, though currently all backup process are stopped.
When I remove / turn off my external HDD, boot time is about 8 seconds. I can't figure out why all of a sudden it required this access to this HDD.
As for the slow icon refresh.. how to fix this.

Screen Went Blank With A Mouse Pointer?
Nov 27, 2015My Laptop is Lenovo Y50. All of a sudden , on logging, the screen went blank with a mouse pointer & i couldnt enter password. No Control, alt, Del works. I didnt do any Windows 10 Update. Now the laptop is as good as dead. Only i have to reinstall the OS? There is no other option?

Feb 23, 2016Recently my mouse pointer has been disappearing when the system wakes in Windows 10 Pro. I can still see it highlighting when moving the mouse and the dialog open with a right click. It only comes back if I open the Task Manager or a separate window. Strangely if I manually put the computer to sleep through the power menu this issue does not seem to appear, it only shows when the computer sleeps after the allotted time.
Not sure if this is an issue with Nvidia Drivers or a Windows Update.

Aug 23, 2015The loading symbol keeps flashing which is effecting what I can do on my computer. For example on Microsoft edge I will be typing and then it will suddenly select the text, so when I do my next letter it deletes everything I have done. It also effects things like drop down menu's or when I left click by going of it so I don't have time to select the option I want.
This does not seem to happen all the time but it currently is and has been since I turned my pc on.
It has only happened since I have downloaded windows 10. I do not have windows 8.1 on my computer as I deleted it so I cant really go back to download it again.
