I am trying to load the 10166 build to a Lumia 735, but the phone keeps cycling through the update cycle whenever I turn it back on (moving cogs icon), and am unable to get to any settings. The 10149 build was previously downloaded successfully. Do I need to roll back to 8.1 to download the 10166 update.

It now boots past the BIOS and goes through "Windows Updating" to "Windows Diagnosing/Repairing" boot loop. My computer uses an SSD so it is (I believe) impossible to get it to boot into safe mode. Is there a way to boot into safe mode or rollback the update somehow?
View 1 RepliesJust installed Windows 10 about a month or two ago, and ever since I upgraded (from Windows 7), whenever a program enters full-screen mode (a game for example), the monitor cycles its power off and back on for a quick second, which causes it to display its "power-on" logo on the screen (in this case, the Acer logo), and wait a few seconds before it goes back to the correct display.
I watched lately when it started doing this, and the blue light that shows monitor power actually flicks off for a quick second, and then comes back on. I've never seen it do this before, but it's like maybe Windows 10 is changing the monitor display output to some insane resolution maybe, and causing it to power itself off for a second? Or it's turning the output off for a second?
I have a problem with a Windows 10 store on my desktop PC. This is not a phone.
I have the latest build 10240 with all of the updates installed. The last few updates installed over last night and then my Store app stopped working.
I searched reddit and found some similar problem: [URL] ....
The thing was that when I tried to open the Store app this morning I've got a message: Before you can shop, we need to update the Store. I then pressed Update button and then It tries to update the Store app.
But then it just says Pending and it doesn't do anything for the whole day now. I think there must be some other applications waiting for an update and they all got stuck. How to open the store?
I tried getting windows 10 and when it decided to reboot and update it goes through the Nokia logo and to gears where it spins for a short while then turns itself off. I have tried using the different reset methods multiple times but to no avail. I don't even get the exclamation mark. I have a Mac Book Pro and tried the beta NSU for retail but it wont even recognise my device. Phone was working fine until update... Is there a solution, other than getting a new phone?

The next day Win10 reported an update for TomTom was ready to download and install.
There does not appear to be any way to stop this happening.
How I can stop the download and install of this.
I am having to use a windwos 8.1 AMD graphics driver because the AMD HD6320 series graphics still has no updated driver from AMD to support windows 10. The video freezes and goes green with the HD6320 driver. The win 8.1 driver works great except windows 10 keep updating and reinstalling the standard driver for the HD6320. I haven't found a way to hide an update in windows 10 like I could in windows 7.

View 1 RepliesThat's just it. This update is bugged and gives me an awful display experience. I installed windows several times to track it down, and I finally did. Now I need a way to not install it. And uninstalling it after it gets installed is not a solution. If it starts bugging my display it'll stay bugged after the install too.
So, how do I stop this update from installing ?

View 5 RepliesI just updated my laptop to Windows 10 and I'm having an issue with the driver for my fingerprint reader. Windows 10 keeps installing the latest driver software for it rather then the version that I manually installed. The problem with the newest driver is that it disables finger print sign in and windows hello. I had the same issue in Windows 8 but I was able to just go into Windows Update and disable the update, with Windows 10 I can't do that.
View 3 RepliesWindows 10 keeps installing the ASUS Smart Gesture touchpad driver on my laptop. The driver is garbage and it runs three memory resident processes, which seems rather excessive for a touchpad driver. The default Windows touchpad driver works perfectly well, so I want to use that instead of the ASUS driver. However, if I uninstall the ASUS driver Windows Update quickly reinstalls it.
I disabled automatic driver installation when I installed Windows 10, as you can see here:
Despite that Windows update keeps installing the ASUS Smart Gesture driver.

As you are aware, Windows 10 PCs have been programmed to automatically check for updates and install any updates they find. Windows 10 is also set to normally schedule reboots for when you are away from the computer. Is there a tool available to stop Windows Update from automatically rebooting your computer?

View 2 RepliesWindows Spotlight isn't working right on my W10 home PC. The image just never cycles. Currently I have a nice image of a light bulb, but it's supposed to cycle to new pictures. On my Surface 3, I actually see new images all the time.
I'm on build 10586.104 (version 1511). I just enrolled in the insider preview ring, but no updates from that yet.
Since I've upgraded to 10 from 8.1, when I try to wake my computer from sleep it apparently wakes, then shuts off, then turns on, then shuts off again, and then finally turns on. This happens over the course of about 15 seconds. When it finally turns on and stays on, it says that it's finishing installing updates, then restarts one more time before staying booted. This happens every time.

I activated W10 and played with it for a while and everything seemed ok - I restarted the computer a few days later and the problem above began - the screen goes blank for a split second right after the taskbar items appear and then the desktop appears again - and this goes on and on - I can't access any application
