I like the transparency in windows 10 but I HATE the blur effect. The blur effect makes my eye feel like they are failing. I've been looking for a while but I can't find it. How do I turn the blur effect off?

View 9 Repliesi installed windows 10 home on a new ssd from scratch, all is going great except the image viewer is making me a bit dizzy from the scrolling while viewing images.
i'm thinking there must be a way to disable that effect when changing pictures and just have them appear , or fade in, fade out ?
Or if you have alternative apps to suggest that does roughly the same thing, like full-screen, copy/move images or folders of images, yunno to manage the collection.
On my HDD i have a Dual boot with Kali Linux and Windows 7, it boots with Grub boot loader. If i upgrade to windows 10 will it only effect my Windows 7 partition or my entire HDD(loosing my Linux partition)?

Is there a way to just have it "snap" to the different desktops without any sort of transition effect?
View 2 RepliesSometimes, when I shut down or restart Windows 10 64-bit, just before the screen turns black it makes the critical stop sound effect. It does not effect anything, the whole shut down process is like 3 seconds, which I really like in Win 10.
Nevertheless it bugs me a bit, I also had this sometimes in Win 7. I'm not running any programs while shutting down, it would notify me if I did.
Does the new Maps app being built for the phone and PC features voice turn-by-turn navigation? I know the current Maps app does not. You need to use Here Drive or another third party app for voice navigation.
View 1 RepliesI am having problems with me Mouse and key board, on boot up they will turn on for about 20 seconds then turn off. Then a error comes up,inaccessible_ boot_drive. But if I restart my pc the mouse and keyboard will do the same thing but instead of the error I get, choose keyboard layout, and a list of options but I cant choose them because the mouse isn't working. This all started happening after I upgraded my power supple but I when I put my old power supple in I had the same problem. I have windows 10and I have tried using different keyboards and different usb ports.

If I do, does this mean that when my PC starts from a boot, that instead of the pin that I use to login to my account on the PC, I will be asked to login with both my Microsoft account username and password? View 3 RepliesI run my W10 computer using a local account. I want to avoid using a MS account and don't have one set up one the computer at this time. My local account is the only account.
That being said, I was interested in installing a couple of apps from the app store. However, it is requiring that I log in with my MS account to download and install them.
My question is if I log into the MS account to download and install the apps, will that create a new user account of any kind or otherwise mess with my computer settings or user accounts?

View 6 RepliesHow can I remove the login screen? Is there a workaround or do I need to sign off completely from MS account? It would be perfect if I could somehow just remove it from startup. Ill explain you what I mean, when I turn on the PC I want it to boot up without me entering a PIN otherwise the programs on background wont start. But when the PC is already running and I am away from it I would prefer if the PIN function is working. But if its not possible I want it to disable completely.
My PC is set to turn on by itself at 9:00 AM so some important programs can boot up while I am not at home but they wont cause there's noone to enter the PIN right?

I would like to stop receiving notifications. In Control Panel/Security and Maintenance this feature is listed under "Maintenance" with no option to disable. On the left side there is a link for:
"Change Security and Maintenance Settings", but there is no option there either to turn this off.
My Question is that how can I permanently turn off windows 10 updates . I am using Windows 10 Enterprise .

View 6 RepliesI keep trying to turn streaming on and it keeps turning off. My receiver is flagged "device access is blocked". I check the box marked "allowed" and the device changes to "allowed access using default settings". Then I click "OK". When I go back into the streaming options the "allowed" box is blanked and my receiver is back to the "device access is blocked" setting. When I did this on Windows 7, piece of cake, it worked. On Windows 10 nothing but a giant hassle. What's worse, I just did this this morning and it worked!!! I played a whole bunch of music on my receiver. Later today I re-booted and now the streaming is gone and I cannot turn it on!!!
