View 1 RepliesI've been part of the insider build progragrame for about 3 months before windows 10 was released. Ive been updating my builds regularly but unfortunately just before the full windows was release i went on a trip and Ive come back today. I don't know how to get the full windows and get out of the insider builds programe.
View 1 RepliesFor a few weeks I'm already stuck in Build 10166 of the Windows Insider program, Microsoft said that insiders would receive the launch version before public but I still haven't received an update to the final version yet. However non insiders already have the final version. I'm refreshing the Windows Update every half an hour and it only gives me Windows Defender updates every now and then.
View 9 RepliesI have my phone running windows 10 and I don't know why the internet data is not working. It keeps telling me that there is an error with the access point, it says that turning off and on the phone would solve the problem but i have done everything like a thousand times and nothing happens. I can't be on wifi all day.
View 2 RepliesWindows mobile for phones is currently at build 10134 (according to the latest leak) and the desktop version is at build 10135.
I find this interesting because Microsoft was so behind with their mobile builds vs the desktop. Could this mean Microsoft has played caught up internally with the mobile build?
I don't know, but I would like to start seeing universal updates to universal apps, instead of apps updating separately for desktop and mobile.
Just thought it was interesting to bring up - especially since we all want more stable versions of Windows 10 mobile, maybe it means the core OS is even closer to the desktop version.
I am using lumia 520 it is uanble to turn off data connections as i know this is one of the problem in tp 10051!!! When will the future build available???
View 2 RepliesMany users of new "windows 10 Technical Preview for Phones" are unable to turn off mobile data..... So here is the simple solution:
1] go to setting>Extras>access point
2] create a new access point ( insert anything in fields
3] Set it as active
whenever you want to turn on data go to access point n choose working (default) access point ...
Would I be able to do this with windows 10 0n my laptop or would I have to await mobile 10?
View 8 RepliesI've recently made a huge research about Roaming profiles in windows 10 and how to set up the start menu layout and all of that i've tried to test it before i upgrade all the computers in the campus i made some good and bad results, the good results was i was able to export the start layout and implement it in the GPO works really fine and i was able to create the v5 roaming profile with same shortcuts and bookmarks and default settings and home page and disabling cortana by GPO and disabling the online search feature within the settings of the roaming profile,
now for the bad results were that the sign in could take from 25 till 40 seconds so the log off, and the major issue is that when you logon with the roaming profile the start menu and search are not available, it means that when you click on start menu the whole start menu doesnt pop up just nothing happens same as the search function. I am running windows 10 enterprise .
I forgot to mention that even the EDGE icon from taskbar disappears so i think its not either moving files or folders arent being synchronized im not really sure. IE remains...
I'm stuck in the login screen. I enter the correct pin, but nothing happens. The cursor switches back to the first position, so something should have happened.
If I switch to password, same thing. I know it's the correct password but says it's incorrect.
I've used the onscreen-keyboard to make sure, and I know I'm inserting the right data.
When ever I try to move my pinned tiles around on my start menu, I get 'Already pinned' with a red circle with a line threw it... I tried un-pinning and then repining them, but still get this problem..
View 4 RepliesSo, recently (after the November build release) I woke the next morning to find that my computer underwent a rather major update. After which, it seemed, my home network was thrown out of wack. I immediately rolled/reverted/recovered to previous build. But now everything is out of wack. Most of the time I have to restart my computer just so it'll communicate with my printer to start printing.
And restarting the computer is twice as long if it restarts at all. Most of the time It gets stuck in the "restart" progress animates (the rotating circles) and I have to press the restart button on the computer tower, with great regret and dread. Transferring files from one windows 10 device to another is a 50/50 hit or miss. I'm not literate when it comes to networking and was super happy how everything was.
But now, not only is my wifi home network out of wack, but my computer itself is wonky. I figure I might as well reinstall the newest build in hopes that it'll at least fix a fe of the problems. But anytime I check for updates, the newest build no longer shows up.
Does the new Maps app being built for the phone and PC features voice turn-by-turn navigation? I know the current Maps app does not. You need to use Here Drive or another third party app for voice navigation.
View 1 RepliesI am having problems with me Mouse and key board, on boot up they will turn on for about 20 seconds then turn off. Then a error comes up,inaccessible_ boot_drive. But if I restart my pc the mouse and keyboard will do the same thing but instead of the error I get, choose keyboard layout, and a list of options but I cant choose them because the mouse isn't working. This all started happening after I upgraded my power supple but I when I put my old power supple in I had the same problem. I have windows 10and I have tried using different keyboards and different usb ports.
View 1 RepliesI am using a Samsung Slate 2 64 Bit. Since upgrading to Windows 10, it will not print. The paper feeds as if it's going to print, the power button begins to blink slowly as if it's spooling, then nothing. It eventually times out and I get a print error, sometimes it tells me that there is no driver. I have updated the driver through the HP website, I've wasted countless hours online with support controlling my computer. I've had 3 technicians from HP just disconnect and not say a word because they can't figure it out.
My BT is working fine, I've checked. The printer works as it should with a wired connection. I have bought another identical printer and the same thing happens, so I know my printer is not broken. One tech told me that the print spooler isn't running, and indeed sometimes it does stop suddenly. What does happen is that I hit print, the printer does its typical "nothing", the paper feeds and everything stops until I reboot. It will not even allow me to delete the print job until I reboot. As soon as the computer shuts down, the job will print. I've read that there is an issue with the print spooler for Windows 10. I cannot seem to find any updates with a fix. My only solution I can see possibly is somehow go back to Windows 8.1 until Windows 10 actually works.
Well, When I set a location based reminder in PC in cortana, does it remind me when I take my phone there? I use both the OS with my same hotmail id.
Or is it like PC based reminders, will be noted only when you take your pc to that location?
Can stream audio over USB on windows 10 mobile? I want to get an external DAC and feed audio into over USB... (not mass storage mode though) just want to check if it might work.
View 3 RepliesYou know in it's counter part either Windows 10 or even Windows 8.1... You can select which Apps to use and it's a lack of experience, I have had some problems in WP8.1 because of I use certain Apps and they "read" PDFs however they can't and each time that I open a PDF, I must open it from the App because of if I use a file manager always I need to choose which App I want to use. I hope it's going to be solved! Or at least they could add a tick for remembering our options.

View 2 RepliesI'm running Windows 10 now and I haven't been able to connect to my Lumia 822 (WP 8.1) using internet sharing. I click on connect on Windows 10, and then it says "Can't setup mobile hotspot".
View 10 RepliesAfter updating windows 10 mobile, some of my apps are not opening and I had to uninstall and reinstall some of them. Not all the apps can be done by that way. If I do that, I will lose all the data stored in those apps.
View 1 RepliesThe 'today' notifications on the tile seems to randomly pick any of my friends and tell me that it's their birthday today.
View 1 RepliesI just downloaded the Microsoft authentication app that have the approve or deny button for two-step verification on android. However on windows mobile I only find the app that sends you the code. This is sad because the android app makes it so much faster than looking up code and typing it. I might be missing something in the store or is this the case of creating better apps for android and ios?
View 8 RepliesThese are my PC Specs:
CPU: 5960X
Mobo: ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME
GPU: GTX 980
RAM: 16GB 2800 XMP
I booted up my PC and not only did it not display the BIOS, but the post beep did not sound. I hear another beep normally, but I think that's related to an overclocking error when applying the XMP profile for my RAM. When my computer gets into Windows 10, my resolution is a 640x480 and it doesn't display my GPU, instead it displays a mobile PC display. How did this happen? I have a 27" monitor at 60 hz. It literally changed overnight, and I can't seem to find System Restore. I don't think I'm automatically booted into safe mode.
Since upgrading to Windows 10 I have been unable to download photos from my mobile (not a smartphone just a Nokia with keypad) and my Sony camera. I always use one of the USB slots on my PC or a dongle on my desk which is attached to the PC and I keep getting a message saying it doesn't recognise the source. I am completely at a loss as to what to do next.
View 4 RepliesEver since i updated my windows 7 to windows 10, i am unable to use any of mobile's Wifi-hotspot to use internet on my laptop which i used to do earlier hassle-free.
Now whenever i try to connect my laptop to a wifi-hotspot of any of my mobile phones the laptop seems to connect with it and also shows 'Internet Access' sometimes (or Limited Access most of the times) but when i try to open any of the websites it doesn't open.
How do i connect my laptop (Win10) to a portable WiFi-Hotspot?
