Sep 3, 2015after installing windows 10 (clean install) my laptop completely freezes, so far happend only while playing games. This is possibly related to nvidia gpu, because basicaly nothing else uses it. I dont get any error or bsod and nothing in the event log, it just hangs with the "bzzz" sound and i have to restart.
Games a tried playing are heroes of the storm and rocket league, got freezes playing both. Time it takes to freeze is random sometimes 10minutes and sometimes 3 hours.

Disabling Hibernation Caused Laptop To Not Shut Down Completely
Dec 8, 2015When I go to Start -> Power -> Shut down, it displays the "Shutting down..." window, then the screen goes black, but the laptop won't shut down completely. That is, the WiFi, Bluetooth and Power (light bulb) indicators are still on (and the battery indicator too if plugged), and I have to force (power button long press) the laptop to shut down. I can also shutdown the WiFi and Bluetooth devices using the keyboard at this stage (with FN button). And if I keep the laptop this way long enough (unplugged), my battery will be completely drained.
I recently disabled Hibernation (cmd admin -> powercfg/h off) so I suspected it to be the culprit. So I enabled hibernation again (cmd admin -> powercfg/h off) and my laptop was shutting down as it should. I then disabled hibernation again and the problem came back. I also figured it might be something to do with my power plan so I reset it (Power options -> Change plan settings -> Restore default settings for this plan),

Aug 15, 2015I've just upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I have an HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC. This happened twice: when I left my laptop and came back after an hour or so, the screen was black (as usually), but the laptop was completely unresponsive. I couldn't wake it up neither by moving/clicking my mouse nor by hitting any key on the keyboard (both external and embedded mice/keyboards). Furthermore, the LED of my laptop on/off h/w switch button was constantly on, instead of blinking.

Aug 10, 2015Upon upgrading to W10 my laptops wireless was given an update from windows update which added new drivers for the wireless card.
Since this update my on-board WI-Fi is no longer functioning. The adapter is there, but it says there are no networks available. If i go to the wireless setting and attempt to click Wi-Fi to on it just flickers back and remains off.
The wireless adapter is now showing as "intel centrino wireless-N 1030" and it shows several other bluetooth devices which were not present before the update. The driver update seems to have introduced some new bluetooth functionality but the result is that it has disabled my Wi-Fi.

Aug 2, 2015So yesterday my wi-fi started to turn off randomly for no reason, its not my internet connection becouse it works on other devices. Also i already tried ticking off power saving option on my network adapter, it worked for a while i thought, but after i restarted my laptop even though its still ticked off, its still turning off randomly.. (Also i noticed it turns off when i plug or unplug my mouse?)

1. Cant set opera as my default browser it asks me if i want to set it as default every time i open it and i always click yes..

Networking :: Laptop Disconnects From WiFi At Random Intervals?
Feb 23, 2016My laptop is randomly disconnecting from my new router. Sometimes it's every few minutes, sometimes it can be an hour or two in between disconnections. This only seems to effect wireless devices and I notice it most often on my laptop. The router is a Fritz!Box 7490 and is connected to 2degrees Internet. The message in the WLAN event log is :
Wireless LAN device deregistered itself (5 GHz). MAC address: 64:BC:0C:6A:79:62 The weird thing is that if I disconnect from wifi and reconnect it re-establishes the connection near instantly. Sometimes it just shows as connected to wifi but not to the internet.
I have tried factory resetting the router and I've tried setting my laptop DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. I have also tried to change the wifi channels in case of interference.

Jan 31, 2016I recently updated my HP ENVY laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 & immediately started having issues with my WIFI speed. I was able to connect to the wireless network just fine with no limited connectivity, etc but the speed crawls. It's only my laptop...all other wifi devices are running with no noticeable difference. I went through a bunch of troubleshooting steps and couldn't get it to improve.
I was able to figure out my wifi speed is great when my laptop is connected to ac power, but immediately drops speed when unplugged. All of my initial troubleshooting was on battery power.
I checked the driver Power Management tab and unchecked the Allow the computer.... option. Also Control Panel-Power Options and changed the Wireless Adapter Settings to be on Maximum Performance for both On Battery & Plugged In.

When plugging in a USB device the laptop makes an audible signal that it picks it up but nothing happens after that.

Cannot Access Router Admin
Nov 23, 2015I have 3 PC's on my home network ( hard wired ). Two PC's are now Win 10, one still Win 8. Neither of the Win 10 PC's can access the router admin page. When I input the IP I get a prompt confirming it is the correct router and it requires ID and password. However, when I input this the browser just sits with the "hourglass" spinning round. Occasionally, it does access the router, but the pages are incomplete. Access the page via the Win 8 is fine. I use the same AV prog on all PC's but have tried deactivating the AV and Firewall on the Win 10 PC's, but still no access.
The Win 10 PC has full internet access, and is otherwise working fine. I can also access the router admin page wirelessly via my smartphone.I have read a few similar posts here and tried rebooting router and PC's several times, but still no access.Not a major headache since I can get access via the Win 8 PC, but I had intended upgrading that one to Win 10 too, but now not so sure.
Wi-Fi Connects To Hotspot But Not To Router
Apr 10, 2016I am having a weird day with my Windows 10 Pro PC. I had to reset it earlier, and it is throwing a tantrum about it.
I can connect to the internet just fine through my phone's Wi-Fi hotspot, but when I attempt to connect to my router to use my home Wi-Fi connection, it connects but says it has no internet connection. There are no less than 4 other computers, 3 phones, and 2 tablets which all use this connection (the router, that is) regularly (2 computers are on it right now) with no issues at all.
When I attempt to use the router, it says it's connected, but has no internet. I would think that would mean no outside internet connection, but network access... but I can't even access the router's homepage.
Router is a Mikrotik Routerboard RB951Ui-2HnD provided by my ISP. I have tried rebooting both the router and the PC several times with no success and I just finished a clean install of Windows, again with zero results.

CPU: Athlon FX-6300 6-core 3.5GHz
Mobo: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
RAM: 8GB DDR3 PC12800
Graphics: 2GB eVGA Geforce 750 Ti SC

PSU: Corsair 600W
Cooling is stock CPU and GPU Coolers and 5 120mm case fans
Networking is through one of those cheap little Edimax USB Dongles. Tested fine in 2 other PC's and is using the most recent driver in this one.
