After upgrading to Windows 10, everything was fine. But after the Store updated itself, I get this message: "Store can't be opened. An update may be available in Store." How can I update store when I even can not open it??!!

It found an update for the actual store so I pressed to download. It went through it's thing and then closed the window automatically. I then tried to relaunch it but it just flashes for a mili second and refuses to open. What should I do?
I logged in with my wife's user id and it is launching ok from hers. It's my user id that is creating the problem! Trouble is I cannot start using a new id as everything is setup for mine.

So, I just updated to Windows 10 today, and I'm having some problems.
1) I click on the Windows/Start button on my desktop... and nothing happens. What's up with this and how can I fix it?
2) I can't open the App Store. It will not open from the button on the little tray on the bottom, it just flashes an outline of a window and then it closes itself.
I did a little more exploring, and I somehow got to a Settings app and tried accessing the store from changing one of the default apps on the Default Apps tab. It threw up an error message at me, saying something about how the process was illegal because a registry key was marked or something.
I cant seem to get my Windows store to open. My install is about a day old, and was a clean install. When I click the store icon I get a brief view of it loading and then it disappears.
I've tried going to my app data and deleting the windows store files.
I've gone into command prompt and tried resetting the store and it doesn't work.
Tried WSReset.exe and the store pop up and disappear again.
After the last major update to windows 10, Microsoft solitaire collection and windows 10 store will not open. When I click on either one I get a flash screen and then it disappears (both).

View 1 RepliesAfter upgrading Win 8.1 to Windows 10 with the assurance that it would be a seamless upgrade with no loss of apps, I now find that attempts to open the subject apps only produce a momentary Splash screen. I am of the opinion that these apps have been removed from the Win10 upgrade.

View 1 RepliesIn the last 2 months, I upgraded to Win10 Pro from Win7 Pro. It turned off during the first attempt of upgrading, so I turned it back on and it installed. However, once I set up my internet again, Windows Store, when opened, told me an error code (0x8000FFFF). I wrote in a bunch of Run and CMD commands, like wsreset.exe, net stop wuauserv, things like that. I also reset the cache and deleted all of the files in the SystemDistribution folder. Despite that, I still get the same error.

But yesterday - noticed the Windows Store app won't open anymore. It looks "greyed out" in the start menu - and in the all apps area - shows a bar that won't move that appears like it was supposed to upgrade or something.
Tried a few things saw suggested - like removing the cache folder in the user app data folder and also the powershell command. Looks like the system didn't take a Restore Point.
My windows 10 store doesn't open. When I click it, the blue screen comes up meaning its loading but it closes while loading. I had restarted my laptop and it continues to happen.

View 1 RepliesI have just upgraded to Windows 10, and I was trying to install Netflix and Skype and both of them weren't downloading. Then I clicked on the download icon in the top right and it showed a lot of downloads pending and a few were "Downloading" it said how big the install was and the progress. 0.0MB even after waiting it didn't go up a bit.
The situation:
I have an Ethernet connection directly to my router. I use windows 10 64 Bit version Home. I live in the Netherlands but in order to use Cortana changed Region to United states.
I have tried changing it back to Netherlands seeing if that would change anything but it didn't.
I have left the store running for a few hours now. Still nothing but I did get a message with a few apps "Give us a few minutes"
And when I click see details it shows an error code 0x8024001e
I just installed Windows 10 and im getting this error 0x80073D02, when i open up the store i see the Store app updating and as soon as it starts downloading the update it says Error, try again. The error code is 0x80073D02, in case you need it.
View 4 RepliesI am trying to open Windows Update under Settings and it will not load. It's just a blank page where Windows Update usually is. Also, under Settings and Windows Update I can't click on Windows Defender, Backup, Recovery, Activation, or Fore Developers.
Also, I have tried to open the Windows Store and the wheel keeps spinning. That's all it will do.
I can't make a screenshot because I can't get the screenshot to paste in paint.
So basically, the problem is that I can't open anything except for Microsoft Edge which is what I am now because the Windows 10 applications are not working properly.
I'm aware that automatic updates via windows update cannot be disabled in windows 10 Home - does that apply to the store also.
In my Surface 3 (updated to win 10) the option to disable store updates automatically is greyed out with a message to contact my administrator (which is me!)
(I also have another win10 VM running pro where the option is not greyed out)
